About: As a loving dog owner myself, I sympathize with the need for customized care while you're away. I am here to help keep your pet’s usual routine, exercise and enrichment activities while you're away. As a responsible professional, I take my commitments seriously. This includes following your directions and caring for your pet the way you prefer. I am a stickler for details and safety. Personally, it’s difficult for me to trust people with my own dog, so I know how important it is to follow an owner’s directions and make sure your pet has the environment and enrichment that they need. Caring for dogs has been a lifelong hobby for me. I grew up with dogs as pets and have watched my friends’ and family’s pets throughout my life. I truly enjoy my time with dogs, which I think helps them be at ease while you’re away. There are very few other things I'd rather do than take a dog for a walk! Pooches keep us humble and remind us to live in the moment. My full-time job is in secondary research, and my favorite "off hours" topic is dogs. Learning about their behavior, needs and evolution is endlessly fascinating to me. While I'm a relative layman (much respect to trainers & vets!), I'm well versed in canine safety and understanding their behaviors and context. I was motivated to work through Rover because my own dog doesn't do well with boarding, and we have found our amazing sitters here (my dog is home with his Dad while I’m sitting for you). So, when I saw the need in our community for more pet care options that take on only one pet (or family) at a time, I realized it would be a natural and rewarding use of my time. Generally, I work 10 - 6 from home / remotely. I can also do midday visits, before and after are also free for playtime and pup care. I keep a safe environment for your dog. Currently, I only offer overnight services in the client / dog's home and do not bring dogs that I don't know into my own home.

About: Seventeen years of feeding and caring for pets from bunnies to dogs, cats, cows, pigs, and chickens. Have taken care of a variety of breeds, behaviors, and ages. I am available many of hours of the day during the week and weekend. I will not accept a job that I cannot reasonably provide care for the pet. I take advantage of animals’ unique physiological systems (i.e. smell, slow movements) to gain trust. I like to stick to pets’ household routines. If there are specific instructions for going outside, I would like to know ahead of time.

About: I’m a good dog walker and can play with them and feed them too. I’ll make sure they are treated right and feel safe around me. I’m around and free whenever possible to take care for pets for friends and family if they need it. I treat them as family and make sure they have fun too I will make sure they are on a leash when we go for walks outside of the house. Won’t leave doors open and make sure to car them if needed too.

About: I am a pet store animal care manager with over 3 years of experience in caring for small animals (chinchillas hamsters, guinea pigs, ferrets, mice, rats), birds (parakeets, conures, & cockatiels), reptiles (pythons up to 300g, bearded dragons, various geckos, frogs, spiders, skinks, mountain lizards, monitors, & more), as well as salt water & freshwater aquatic life. I am a training animal care manager in my district. Additionally, I have 2 cats, a 4 year old golden retriever who I've had since she was a puppy, a bearded dragon, a mourning gecko, a betta fish, & many (many) plants in my care. I work full time, and am currently only available for drop in visits for cats and exotic pets. I am also able to host 1 dog small to medium size dog for 3 nights max (I have 1 golden retriever who is good with all other dogs, and 2 cats who are hesitant around other dogs but have their own space in the apartment to escape to). I take my dog on a one mile + walk per day and am able to provide up to 4 bathroom breaks per day. I will treat both your pets & your home with respect. I will not stray from your specific instructions, & will provide you with updates/photos from each visit. I will do everything possible to keep your pet safe & happy while in my care.

About: I have had years of experience caring for both cats and dogs. Inherent pet lover at heart, I will take care of your pet like my own. I work full time but am available on weekends and some weeknights to check in on your pet during my off-hours. Willing to drive to Troy, Albany, and Latham areas as well as others. I have one indoor cat who is pampered and cared for like she is my child. She is on a special diet and medication and I am competent in caring for pets that have special health care needs.

About: My husband and I have a dog named Jax, he just turned 7 and is such a goofball. We have taken care of dogs for a long time now and Jax loves having friends over! Sean works from home so we are able to give your dog plenty of breaks. Our day normally consists of 2 good walks morning and night, an afternoon quick walk and potty breaks in between! We live in an apartment along Washington Square Park, so we walk the park every day! We try on days off to find trails around to get out as well!

About: Iv'e been around animals my whole life. I have experience with dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens, turkeys, fish and reptiles. I am able to give administer meds for animals that need it. I work from home a majority of the time. Days I do go in office, it is very flexible and usually can return home after a few hours. Any place I do go is a 20 minute drive (or less) from my home. I can also easily move my work set up to work from anywhere. When going to your home, I make sure to keep your pets to there schedule for maximum comfort! I always make sure the animals are well taken care of.

About: Hi! Here you will find someone who will not only work to be best friends with your dog but also someone always happy to be involved in her community. With that I'm dedicated to ensuring that every moment with your pup is filled with comfort, safety, and love while you're away! My journey with dogs, started from my elementary school days all the way to my college graduation, and has taught me invaluable lessons in care and training. I started out Having cared for two rescued pit bulls growing up and looked after kittens and pups belonging to friends and family. Now with full business that brings me joy more than any retail or serving job could! Not only am I excited to make new fur friends but I'm always happy to help someone out. Who knows, maybe we'll learn some new tricks along the way! Also, I will take the best pictures that I promise you will love! I currently do freelance work from home, so at the moment my availability is very flexible. Every once in a while, my work will require me to go out of town however this will always be reflected in my calendar. Any last minute changes will always be communicated with clients! (While this is not very often I do like to let clients know beforehand just in case. I know a a couple of other amazing sitters, I can refer you if that ever happens) During our scheduled time together, I will happy to go on extra long walks, explore the neighborhood or have a fun time practicing skills you’ve worked on. Your furry fam will spend that day with me and we’ll have lots of fun! Above all I know that every animal (and person!) is unique and is to be cater to in a way that best suits them. When caring for a pet, before anything I will always make sure they are comfortable in their space and with me. (For this reason, while I am open to taking last minute clients, meet-and-greets are strongly encouraged!) During their care, I will always make sure their needs are attended too and follow their care needs directed by the owner. This is not limited to following their food schedule, making time for exercise and play, cleaning after them and of course giving them the love and attention they need! *please note, my apartment is not suitable to accommodate pets at this time. Therefore all overnight services will need to take place at the owners house. I am very open to discussing a system of care that’s most comfortable for you, doggy, and myself :)*

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was seven. I’ve been riding horses for eight years and just love any animal I can be around. I will walk dogs, bathe them, feed them, sit them basically do anything. I’ve had many dogs I’ve watched in the past and everyone was satisfied. I go to work part time at a vet clinic in Albany NY. My weekends are usually free unless I have a half day shit at the clinic based on my schedule I can always make sure to get to your house and look after your pet at any time if available. i take care of my own animals with meticulous care and love. I have 3 dogs and 7 cats and 1 horse so i know everything there is to know about taking care of them

About: I’ve had animals my entire life and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I grew up with dogs, cats, and rabbits, and I currently have fancy rats of my own — so I’m comfortable with both traditional pets and small animals. The majority of my family has always had pets as well, and I’ve regularly helped care for them over the years. On Mondays and Wednesdays, and Fridays I’m available early mornings, afternoons, and evenings. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I’m available before 10:30 a.m. and after 2:15 p.m. On the weekends, I’m fully available for walks, sitting, or even adventure hikes, whenever!!
