“Christina was awesome, she was very reliable and took very good care of our cat, feeding and litter. She sent pictures each visit and tried each time to engage our cat, who unfortunately stubbornly decided to stay under a bed while she was there. We would definitely use her again.”

About: I have over 5 years of dog care experience. This ranges from different ages and breeds. In the past few years I have focused on senior pet care and puppy training. Because of this, I can work with most physical or behavioral challenges your pet may have. I have 2 dogs of my own so I recognize the importance of mental stimulation and structure, so I am happy to provide that! My availability is very flexible which allows me to work around your hectic schedule and meet all of you and your pet's needs! I am currently an online college student, therefore am able to offer a very flexible schedule. I can accommodate a variety of scheduling needs, if you need pet care in 3 days or 3 weeks, I've got your back! I have 2 dogs and 1 cat of my own, so I am very comfortable around a household with multiple pets. I've worked with a variety of sizes and breeds as well, so I can meet different routine and mental stimulation requirements you have for your pet. If needed, I can crate easily. Scooping litter boxes, feeding, medication administration, and light pet grooming are also services I can provide!

“This was the second time Larissa watched our animals and I can’t say enough good things about her! She is great with the animals and stayed in regular contact with me while we were away. We are so happy to be able to go on vacation and not have to worry about our animals. Our dog is timid but warmed right up to her! Thank you so much Larissa! We hope to book again in the near future!”

About: I have 2 dogs at home back in Austin, one since late 2012, the other since early 2016. I've always gotten along well with dogs. I've found that most of them are very perceptive to who dog people are and they basically always recognize that in me. My dogs back in Austin helped me get through the day. Other than going to school at Hudson Valley Community College, there hopefully shouldn't be any scheduling conflicts. I try to make sure my dogs get enough attention, and usually we can count on each other for emotional support when they wouldn't prefer to spend time with the other members of my family.
About: My whole life I’ve just loved animals. I’ve always had pets. I was the one in my family that pet sat when they went away. I am a real estate agent and being that I have very flexible hours with that I would like to fill my time with doing something that I think is fun. That is by loving animals. I plan on just doing dog walking to start. Maybe eventually doing at home care. Just moving to the area I need to get more acclimated.
“Sophia did a great job caring for our two cats for a week while we were on vacation! She was great at sending updates, including pictures and videos, and made my shy kitties comfortable. I highly recommend Sophia!”

About: I have extensive professional and personal experience caring for dogs of all ages, temperaments, and needs. I am comfortable administering oral medications, as well as injections like insulin, and following special care instruction. I currently have a lot of availability so I have a bunch of time to get to know your pets! Please message me regarding house sitting availability. I focus on maintaining their normal routine to minimize stress when caring for pets in a client’s home. I provide updates, photos, and notes after each visit so owners can feel confident their pet is happy and well cared for.
About: I have been caring for pets for friends and family for many years. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty when it comes to cleaning up pet messes. Plus I love sending photos to owners to assure them that their pets are happy and cared for. I am mostly available weeknights and weekends. I am currently working full-time, but I have the ability to check in on pets during the day if needed. Weekday mornings are usually a little busy for me. While I cannot currently offer housing for pets in my home, partly due to a cat diva, I can promise to be respectful of any home I enter.
“Larry was super patient with our shy (and sometimes mean) kitty! We appreciate that he always made sure to find her and make sure she was safe even when she hid in the oddest spots.”

About: I've been a lifelong cat companion and caregiver, having raised and nurtured them since I was young. Over time, I've also bonded with my cousins' and friends' dogs, learning their unique needs and quirks while helping with everything from daily care to playtime. Whether it's a playful pup or a curious cat, I genuinely enjoy keeping tails wagging and whiskers happy. Since I currently work remotely, my schedule is wide open for pet sitting and dog walking— whether it’s a midday stroll or an overnight cuddle session. With a little heads-up, I’m happy to help with house sitting, too. Caring for animals isn’t just a part of my day — it’s something I truly look forward to. In my home, I’m the go-to comfort zone for my two cats — they always come to me for cuddles, calm, and of course, their meals. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I create that same sense of safety and familiarity. My friends’ dogs naturally stick close to me, whether we’re relaxing or out for a walk, because I make sure they feel secure, heard, and happy. Whether it’s your place or mine, I treat every pet like family — with patience, gentleness, and attention to their unique needs.
About: I have dealt with dogs nearly my entire life! I’d love to pop in and take your pup for a walk and spend some one on one time with them! I have expierence in a lot of various dog breeds! I work full time as a Nurse and am looking for something rewarding to do after my daily 8-4! I currently work full time as a Nurse. I work some days until 2 or 4. Although I do have quite a bit of flexibility! I am trustworthy and am more than willing to provide pop in visits or can discuss other options if needed in your home as well!
“So I am a travel nurse working in Scottsbluff, and I have had the pleasure of Phelan taking fabulous care of my furbaby Remi. She is very passionate and loving and played a lot with my dog. I would definitely recommend her.”

About: I grew up with 2 dogs, and currently have a cat! I have always lived with a pet and understand what an important part of our lives they are. Let’s discuss your pet’s needs so you can be more at ease while you are away. I look forward to meeting you! I work from home Tuesday/Thursdsy/Friday and in albany Monday/Wednesday 8-4pm. I am very flexible to work with you on a customized care plan for your fur babies. I do not watch animals in my own home, but I take extra precautions to leave your home just as I found it, and make sure your pet is secure when I arrive and leave.
“Book him now! He’s the best with my two kitties Luna and Stella. Takes amazing photos (seriously better than some of my own!). I can tell they are super happy with him! I come back and they are relaxed and content.”

About: I grew up with a shy, anxious dog and a very active cat. I took care of them both through their old age. I now have a young dog that’s full of energy and can sometimes be aggressive. I learned how to manage each of them individually to give them a happy and healthy life. No matter how crazy or shy I will love your pets as if they were mine! I am currently a college student who is available on weekends and weekday afternoons. I can easily adjust my homework/studying schedule around your pets needs. I will follow any given instructions on how to care for your pet in your home. I will keep a close eye on all young/naughty pets and leash your pets for walks when needed.
“I like Loren a lot. She's down-to-earth and easy to communicate with. My two kitties seemed to feel really comfortable with her from the very first moment. She was conscientious about following my instructions, and I am happy with the care she gave. I trust Loren and will request her services again in the future.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Watervliet
We are so happy to have found Nicole! She is the first sitter we ever used to come to our home instead of bringing our pup Ripley somewhere for sleepovers while we were away, which I was initially super anxious about. However, from the meet and greet you can tell how she genuinely loves pets, and our quirky anxious dog warmed up to her immediately. Even our cranky alien cat went right up to her. We just used Nicole for the second time, and Ripley again was so relaxed with her. Lots of cute photos and good communication. We will absolutely book her again and again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
