Pet Sitting in Watervliet

About: I have owned and lived with dogs and cats for my entire life. After losing my beloved shihtzu 6 years ago I decided I wanted to dedicate my life to helping others. I foster pets, dogsit/housesit board and walk dogs and I have a flexible schedule. I love dogs of all sizes but I only have space in my own home for dogs under 20lbs. I am available to do home checks and midday walks. I am available for overnights or weekends stays. I will of course follow your rules for whether pets are allowed on the furniture but as far as I am concerned, your pets are family and in my home they can go anywhere that I can go! If you’re looking for someone calm, dependable and responsible, look no further! I have a flexible schedule and can be available for midday walks, dinner, enrichment, and overnights. I love field trips and fun adventures with your pup and can also just hang out if they need companionship. I do not have any pets of my own so that I can dedicate my time to pet sitting and fostering. This enables me to host small pets in my home or to stay with pets for extended periods such as vacations.

About: I’ve owned pets my whole life. I’ve dog sat for neighbors and family friends and nannied for kids with pets. I myself have a cat and a dog. My dog was a rescue and originally had behavior issues so I understand that not all dogs are perfectly behaved. I am a university student who is doing independent reaserch this summer. I have a super flexible schedule and can accommodate to whatever/whenever your pet needs! I currently have one cat in my apartment , but when I go back to my family’s house for breaks I walk and play with our dog and take full care of our cat (food, litter box, cuddles).

“***FIRST TIME ROVER USER**** When my normal sitter became unavailable, unexpectantly, I had no idea what to do. I was at the point of not going away on my vacation because it was about a week away from leaving. This was my first time using Rover, and my anxiety was through the roof about the entire process and the idea of a stranger coming into my home. I chose Marybeth primarily based upon location, her photos of her and her pets and her age/experience. Upon meeting Marybeth, her overall kindness and genuine, sweet, friendly personality put me at ease immediately. She listened attentively to what my needs were and my animals routines, without trying to change or judge anything. She was promptly responsive to all of my communication prior to leaving for my trip and the duration as well. When meeting (2) of my (3) fur babies kitties (only because 1 is a scaredy cat and won't come out for anyone really), you could tell immediately that she has a love of cats and taking care of them appropriately and lovingly. I left instructions for her and she followed all of my requests (even non animal related, like bringing in my mail and checking on my refrigerator door that pops open). She was even kind enough to check on my hamster even though that was not part of the animals requested to watch. Every day while I was gone, she was on time, left me a happy little note about the status of everything and pictures of all my babies. Personally, the fear/worry/anxiety about leaving my babies as well as just someone coming in my home was enormous, and Marybeth really put that to ease for me. (I know I already mentioned that, but I figured for anyone reading this, who is on the fence about hiring through Rover). I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, kind, sweet person to take care of your precious family members while you are away. She even returned my key promptly upon my return. Thank you to her again. I am forever grateful for her.”

About: I will pay full attention to your pet. I am flexible and I can work with you to tend to your pet's every need. I am often the go-to call when my friends or neighbors plan to go away. I will love your furry family member like they are my own. The great bonus for me is the love I get in return from your pet and hopefully provide peace of mind to the owners. I have one 18-year-old grumpy kitty who I love dearly, who will happily hide in my bedroom – and ever so briefly – coexist with my doggie guests. All good there. I would be available any time from Sunday-Thursday for doggie day care or drop in visits... and available from Sun to Wed for overnight stays. I will love and protect your pet like they are my own. If I were to visit your/their home, I would enter and provide excellent service with respect to you and your pets!

“Kimberly is AMAZING! I can’t recommend her highly enough! I had to go out of town for a week, and she came by my house twice a day to take care of my kitties. She sent so many videos and pictures, it really made me feel at ease. I was nervous about the process, and I feel so lucky that I found her. She not only took care of my kitties in regards to feeding them and cleaning the litter box, she played with them and gave them attention and love. She also adjusted my thermostat for me and even swept up a mess my cats made when they decided to have a wild night alone. It is such a blessing and relief to have someone come into my home for a week while I was gone and know that everything in my home was safe and my two love bugs were completely cared for. About: I have 2 dogs at home back in Austin, one since late 2012, the other since early 2016. I've always gotten along well with dogs. I've found that most of them are very perceptive to who dog people are and they basically always recognize that in me. My dogs back in Austin helped me get through the day. Other than going to school at Hudson Valley Community College, there hopefully shouldn't be any scheduling conflicts. I try to make sure my dogs get enough attention, and usually we can count on each other for emotional support when they wouldn't prefer to spend time with the other members of my family.
