“I appreciated Hailey being available on short notice. She was very reliable and followed my care instructions for Lucy. I will definitely have Hailey checkin on Lucy again”

“Larry was great with our two cats. It was our first time using Rover and I'll definitely be booking him again next time we need someone to watch our cats. All directions were followed and he even helped pickup the hairballs while we were away.”

“Net is awesome! She came to the house a few times, to meet Lucy, before our trip so Lucy was comfortable with her. She visited Lucy 4 times per day starting very early and a bedtime visit around 8:00pm. Polite, dependable, caring, professional and dedicated are a few words to describe Net. We will definitely have her take care of Lucy again and I encourage you to have her care for your pet as well! Six out of 5 stars!!”

“***FIRST TIME ROVER USER**** When my normal sitter became unavailable, unexpectantly, I had no idea what to do. I was at the point of not going away on my vacation because it was about a week away from leaving. This was my first time using Rover, and my anxiety was through the roof about the entire process and the idea of a stranger coming into my home. I chose Marybeth primarily based upon location, her photos of her and her pets and her age/experience. Upon meeting Marybeth, her overall kindness and genuine, sweet, friendly personality put me at ease immediately. She listened attentively to what my needs were and my animals routines, without trying to change or judge anything. She was promptly responsive to all of my communication prior to leaving for my trip and the duration as well. When meeting (2) of my (3) fur babies kitties (only because 1 is a scaredy cat and won't come out for anyone really), you could tell immediately that she has a love of cats and taking care of them appropriately and lovingly. I left instructions for her and she followed all of my requests (even non animal related, like bringing in my mail and checking on my refrigerator door that pops open). She was even kind enough to check on my hamster even though that was not part of the animals requested to watch. Every day while I was gone, she was on time, left me a happy little note about the status of everything and pictures of all my babies. Personally, the fear/worry/anxiety about leaving my babies as well as just someone coming in my home was enormous, and Marybeth really put that to ease for me. (I know I already mentioned that, but I figured for anyone reading this, who is on the fence about hiring through Rover). I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, kind, sweet person to take care of your precious family members while you are away. She even returned my key promptly upon my return. Thank you to her again. I am forever grateful for her.”

“Samantha took incredible care of my dog, arriving on time, providing consistent updates and photos that gave me total peace of mind while I was away!! It was clear Griffen was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Samantha again.”

“Jose did an amazing job with Marley! I was able to leave an entire week without having to worry once. Was always on time and walked my dog to the park every time. Marley loved Jose, so much so Marley was playing fetch with sticks which I’ve never seen him do! Jose also took amazing pictures at every check in”

About: I have owned and lived with dogs and cats for my entire life. After losing my beloved shihtzu 6 years ago I decided I wanted to dedicate my life to helping others. I foster pets, dogsit/housesit board and walk dogs and I have a flexible schedule. I love dogs of all sizes but I only have space in my own home for dogs under 20lbs. I am available to do home checks and midday walks. I am available for overnights or weekends stays. I will of course follow your rules for whether pets are allowed on the furniture but as far as I am concerned, your pets are family and in my home they can go anywhere that I can go! If you’re looking for someone calm, dependable and responsible, look no further! I have a flexible schedule and can be available for midday walks, dinner, enrichment, and overnights. I love field trips and fun adventures with your pup and can also just hang out if they need companionship. I do not have any pets of my own so that I can dedicate my time to pet sitting and fostering. This enables me to host small pets in my home or to stay with pets for extended periods such as vacations.

“Larissa was absolutely amazing with Finn, on late booking she was able to accommodate exactly what we needed on a holiday no less and sent amazing photos and video with Finn. Would definitely recommend her for your pet!!”
About: I have been caring for animals since I was a child. I started small with hamster and fish, eventually teaching myself to care for larger species through rigorous online teachings and experience. I work part time so that I can spend as much time working with and caring for animals as possible. Ideally taking care of at least 3 pets a day would be best case for me. I do not have the ability to care for pets in my home but I do have the knowledge and experience to crate fur babies when needed without causing them distress. I am familiar with getting animals of all domestic sizes into a state of calm for walks or sleep time or even cuddles after a long day of missing their folks.
“Our first experience with Leah has been great! She took perfect care of our 4cats. Leah is a great communicator and took good initiative when things arose that we hadn’t been able to discuss in advance. We’ll definitely feel our cats are in excellent hands when we have the opportunity to have her here again!”

I provide specialized care for both playful little ones and senior pets, including gentle handling, health monitoring, and medication administration. I've had my two Maltese dogs for 9 amazing years, and they truly are my whole world! My journey with animals started when I was a child with my first pet, a sweet pitbull who was my constant companion. As I grew up, I discovered just how easily I bond with animals, which has only deepened my love for them. Right now, I have a female Maltese named Luna and a male Maltese named Christmas (but we call him Chris). I adore all kinds of animals, big and small! My goal is to provide a true calm and relaxed "home away from home” environment for every tail that walks through my door💕. Which means your pet will be treated like family-whether staying at my home or coming with me to work. 💕PLEASE READ💕 Moving forward, there will only be a 15-minute grace period after your drop-off time. If you are running late, please communicate that to me and I will work with you. If you are over your 15-minute grace period without any communication, you will need to reschedule a later drop-off time or book with another sitter💕. Please note that I only take 1 household pet(s) at a time. Quality over quantity always! PLEASE make sure your pets are current on Rabies, Bordetella, and free of fleas/ticks. Thank you! I truly believe in keeping my clients' pets company, which is why I never leave them alone at home. Taking care of your furry friends is my passion, and I make sure your pets are always by my side. Pet Care Policies & Meet-and-Greets To ensure the best experience for you and your pet, I offer meet-and-greet sessions to better understand your pet's routine, temperament, and specific needs. Safety is always my top priority, so please disclose any reactivity or resource guarding behaviors. ABOUT ME: Hi there! I’m originally from NYC but moved to the Albany area six years ago to be closer to my family. I graduated from Mercy University in 2023 with a degree in Behavioral Science, and I'm currently working towards my dream career as a Real Estate Investor! But as of right now, I’m a Real Estate Salesperson! When I'm not busy with pets or work, I love hitting the gym, diving into a good book, exploring new restaurants, and enjoying quality time with my family and furry pals. Thoughout the day, I will take my client’s pets out for a walk around the neighborhood or a hike in a local park. (If your dog enjoys being around other dogs, I usually take them to a local dog park where they can run and play freely!) AND BEST OF ALL… Spend some quiet time together. Cuddle on the couch and give a gentle massage to help them relax! A little note for my wonderful repeat clients: Once you’re comfortable, I’m happy to offer convenient off-app payment options like Zelle, CashApp, Venmo, and Apple Pay. Looking forward to taking care of your pets! For my client's pets - I send detailed updates throughout the day with very high-quality photos. If I'm providing 24-hour care, I'll send three quality updates (morning, afternoon, and evening). I like to keep my clients in the loop and connected to their pets in a way that relieves worry. I make sure that all pets are walked, fed, have water throughout the day, and receive lots of love/care! Since I have pets of my own, I like to watch body language and (if needed) I separate dogs if they seem uncomfortable or they aren’t understanding another dog’s language. It doesn’t happen often, but it does happen and the goal is to keep everyone safe.

“100% reliable and love getting updates from Linda when we are away. Would recommend and book Linda again and again! Linda handles it all and it's so nice to feel comfortable leaving your fur babies in good hands.”
“Sandy is such a lovely person. I have a very anxious cat with separation anxiety and she was so understanding and good with him. She sent picture and video updates every day and was always super responsive. On top of all that, Sandy was so accommodating to my last minute schedule modifications. She's easygoing, kind, and amazing with cats!”

About: I’ve always had a love for animals - and especially cats! I grew up volunteering at animal shelters, working to help socialize both cats and dogs to help them get adopted faster. I started formally cat sitting for friends a few years ago, and it has revitalized my love for taking care of animals. It would be a pleasure to help you with your pet fam! I will mostly be available afternoons and weekends. I currently work part time with some telecommuting days. Happy to come by before or after work, or stay with your pet fam on days I telework! In my experience with cat/dog sitting, I am used to preparing meals, cleaning litter boxes, going on walks, changing water, and play time- in addition to never ending head scratches and belly rubs!
About: I’ve taken care of my neighbor’s dogs for many years. I make sure to walk them every day with a balanced meal. I will bathe your dog if requested or as needed. I’m a recent college graduate so I’m available most of the week. I’m ready to devote myself to giving care to animals and I love spending time with them. I live in an apartment with my partner and our two cats so, I’ll only be able to provide services at the client’s house. I will take the dog on leash if there is no fence. I have worked in animal clinic in the kennel so I experience with crating dogs at night. I additionally love spending time with cats and will play with them. I like to meet cats where they are at and not push their boundaries.
“Alessia was wonderful with our shy kitty! Willow came out on the second visit and felt confident enough to come out each visit after! We are so happy that she was able to get love and cuddles while we were gone! Alessia was communicative and sent great pictures! Clearly an animal lover and cares about her clients! Will definitely be booking her services again!”

Maria was wonderful to work with! She was communicative, kind and easy to work with when it came to meet ups and key drop off. I felt very comfortable leaving my cat in her care. 😊 I also very much appreciated all the photos and updates. Thank you Maria! Highly recommend her as a sitter for any animal!

This was my first time using Rover and Lauren helped walk me through the process and put me at ease. Lauren took wonderful care of my cats. She sent me updates each visit and plenty of pictures. What particularly impressed me though was my [typically] more shy cat really came around and was curious about her. Seems like my cats were impressed, too.

Evelyn was a pleasure to work with. Ask plenty of questions and took detailed notes at our meet and great. She even watered my plants for me while away. My cats seemed to really like her too. She took great care of the while away and stayed in touch the whole time. Will book with her again next time we travel.
