“Mary Kate was absolutely amazing! I was very nervous about leaving my cat home alone while we were on vacation, but she immediately put all of my worries at ease. She sent daily photos, communicated consistently, and took such great care of my cat. I would highly recommend her and will definitely be booking with her again. This was our first time using Rover, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience! 100% would recommend Mary-Kete!!!!”

“Larry was great with our two cats. It was our first time using Rover and I'll definitely be booking him again next time we need someone to watch our cats. All directions were followed and he even helped pickup the hairballs while we were away.”

“Nicole did an outstanding job with Kiki! He had some special considerations being an older cat and Nicole took it in stride and was very communicative with any issues that came up and his health status at the time. I'll definitely be reaching out to Nicole in the future when Kiki needs supervision.”
“***FIRST TIME ROVER USER**** When my normal sitter became unavailable, unexpectantly, I had no idea what to do. I was at the point of not going away on my vacation because it was about a week away from leaving. This was my first time using Rover, and my anxiety was through the roof about the entire process and the idea of a stranger coming into my home. I chose Marybeth primarily based upon location, her photos of her and her pets and her age/experience. Upon meeting Marybeth, her overall kindness and genuine, sweet, friendly personality put me at ease immediately. She listened attentively to what my needs were and my animals routines, without trying to change or judge anything. She was promptly responsive to all of my communication prior to leaving for my trip and the duration as well. When meeting (2) of my (3) fur babies kitties (only because 1 is a scaredy cat and won't come out for anyone really), you could tell immediately that she has a love of cats and taking care of them appropriately and lovingly. I left instructions for her and she followed all of my requests (even non animal related, like bringing in my mail and checking on my refrigerator door that pops open). She was even kind enough to check on my hamster even though that was not part of the animals requested to watch. Every day while I was gone, she was on time, left me a happy little note about the status of everything and pictures of all my babies. Personally, the fear/worry/anxiety about leaving my babies as well as just someone coming in my home was enormous, and Marybeth really put that to ease for me. (I know I already mentioned that, but I figured for anyone reading this, who is on the fence about hiring through Rover). I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, kind, sweet person to take care of your precious family members while you are away. She even returned my key promptly upon my return. Thank you to her again. I am forever grateful for her.”

About: Its been 3 years since I’ve last been on Rover due to having a small child so I’m starting out on here all over again ☺️ My daughter is in school and camp now so I have time to help owners who don’t have a flexible schedule make sure their loved animals are taken care of. I have a big dog of my own who stays in the yard most the day or on the couch! He plays great with other dogs & is also a lover. I am a free spirt. I love hiking , trails, or just walking in the neighborhood. I offer hair brushing, bathing animals, nail clipping/grinding, and can brush their teeth if needed. I love taking dogs swimming at lakes and streams, running, and exercising animals are also some other fun things I offer. I’m full of energy & love animals- my favorite animals are horses & dogs. I am a self employed hairstylist so I have time to help since I make my own work schedules. Since I do not have a set work schedule if my services are needed for longer visits I can definitely make that happen. I’m able to start today or tomorrow and am very excited to help with your little family members 🐶🐱Thank you very much Ali Gant I am self employed so my hours are very flexible. I can also run home fast or to your house anytime to let an animal out for their feeding or walk. I have a safe environment and work on safety in others homes. The collar and leash will be put on before the front door opens so no running out the door is possible. Practice sitting before the door opens is a positive start to any walk.
“Net has been absolutely amazing with our dogs, especially helping us adjust to our new addition to the family. We have a 5-year-old Norwegian Elkhound and a ~5-month-old Norwegian Elkhound, and she has been wonderful with both of them. On the days she walks them, I come home from work to two dogs who are calm, happy, and clearly well cared for. From the very first meeting, they adored her and were immediately comfortable playing and spending time with her. I’m incredibly thankful to have found someone so reliable and kind who has taken the stress of midday walks off my plate. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.”

Right now, I have a female Maltese named Luna and a male Maltese named Christmas (but we call him Chris). I adore all kinds of animals, big and small! My goal is to provide a true calm and relaxed "home away from home” environment for every tail that walks through my door💕. I’m originally from NYC but moved to the Albany area six years ago to be closer to my family. I graduated from Mercy University in 2023 with a degree in Behavioral Science, and I'm currently working towards my dream career as a Real Estate Investor! But as of right now, I’m a Real Estate Salesperson! When I'm not busy with pets or work, I love hitting the gym, diving into a good book, exploring new restaurants, and enjoying quality time with my family and furry pals. I have a part-time job Tuesday through Thursday (4:30am-12pm) But Friday- Monday, I’m a full time pet sitter which means I will be home 24/7 with your pets!!💕💕Thoughout the day, I will take my client’s pets out for a walk around the neighborhood or a hike in a local park. (If your dog enjoys being around other dogs, I usually take them to a local dog park where they can run and play freely!) AND BEST OF ALL… Spend some quiet time together. Cuddle on the couch and give a gentle massage to help them relax! A little note for my wonderful repeat clients: Once you’re comfortable, I’m happy to offer convenient off-app payment options like Zelle, CashApp, Venmo, and Apple Pay. Looking forward to taking care of your pets! For my client's pets - I send detailed updates throughout the day with very high-quality photos. If I'm providing 24-hour care, I'll send three quality updates (morning, afternoon, and evening). I like to keep my clients in the loop and connected to their pets in a way that relieves worry. I make sure that all pets are walked, fed, have water throughout the day, and receive lots of love/care! Since I have pets of my own, I like to watch body language and (if needed) I separate dogs if they seem uncomfortable or they aren’t understanding another dog’s language. It doesn’t happen often, but it does happen and the goal is to keep everyone safe.

About: Caring for animals is a genuine joy of mine! Growing up with a black lab, I have taken care of pets since I was a kid. Friends and family often trust me to look after their animals, because I’m dependable and enjoy spending time with them. I understand the importance of giving pets plenty of care and attention while also respecting their individual needs and personal space, ensuring they feel comfortable, safe, and well-loved. I’m currently working part time with a flexible schedule, so there is plenty of time to care for your pets! I also love being active so I will happily get in as many walks as needed! In order to ensure your pet feels comfortable with me and with me in your home, I always request that we do a meet and greet prior to booking for the first time.
About: I grew up surrounded by animals, including spending years at a horse barn, which gave me hands-on experience caring for many different animals and personalities. I’ve pet-sat and walked dogs of all ages and energy levels. Along with that. I have trained and competed in agility and obedience with my own dogs. This background makes me comfortable providing both structured care for active dogs who love hikes and runs, as well as calm, attentive companionship for dogs who prefer a slower, cozy pace. I treat every pet I care for as if they’re my own and focus on making them feel safe, happy, and well cared for. Because I am currently working part-time, I will have plenty of time to spend with your pets! My employment and schedule are quite flexible, so I can easily spend time with your dogs. I discuss with the family what their rules, concerns, and expectations are. In order to provide the greatest experience possible, I am always open and honest!
About: I have been caring for animals since I was a child. I started small with hamster and fish, eventually teaching myself to care for larger species through rigorous online teachings and experience. I work part time so that I can spend as much time working with and caring for animals as possible. Ideally taking care of at least 3 pets a day would be best case for me. I do not have the ability to care for pets in my home but I do have the knowledge and experience to crate fur babies when needed without causing them distress. I am familiar with getting animals of all domestic sizes into a state of calm for walks or sleep time or even cuddles after a long day of missing their folks.

We cannot recommend Amy ENOUGH!!! She is amazing!! There are a couple months where she won’t be able to care for our dog and I don’t know what I’ll do until she returns! Once she knew our dog, we decided together that she should bring her dog to play with him and they are best friends! Amy and Eva are the best.
