About: Hi I am 38 and love all animals and enjoy spending time with dogs. They help us in many ways, they can be a best friend or a family member. And best of all they are always there tor you. I also enjoy spending time with cats and playing with them as they're very calm, loving animals. I have been caring for people’s pets for 9+ years. I am a full-time pet care provider. I have dedicated my life to making sure your pets feel like home when you are not home. I have a fence in yard and cameras throughout the exterior of the property for safety of the pets and a piece of mind for the owners.
About: I have had dogs and cats in my life since as long as I can remember. I have gone through 5 dogs growing up and have always been surrounded by the pets of friends and family! I’ve always loved every kind of animal, I believe the bond between a dog or cat and their human is truly unconditional. I’m eager to meet and care for more furry friends! I am a full-time hairstylist. Though I am scheduled for the same hours each week, sometimes I have slower weeks than others and my weeks are never always the same. I am looking for Rover as a side job to help me out during my slower days! I live in an Inlaw apartment under my mom‘s house. We have a fenced in backyard. I only have one cat in my apartment, and my mom has two dogs that are very friendly. We have a walking trail along a river across the street from our house!
About: Reliable dog owner. I’ve been blessed with good people in my life to help me with the care of my pets and I’m looking to do the same! I WFH and have flexibility to adjust my schedule. An early riser that starts each day with a walk! Hoping to help other professionals each the peace of mind that their pet is taken care of. #1 priority is ensuring instructions are detailed and followed. My biggest concern is a pet getting loose. I ensure doors are closed, and your pet is safe.
“Our dog has special medical needs so we can’t trust just anyone with her care. Rachelle made us feel comfortable right away and our dog loved her. We will definitely be using her when I go back to work in the office.”

“Larissa was so good and patient to Jada. She also took the time to meet me before the bookings to go over all the details and get to know my dog. We will definitely book again!”

About: Hello! My name is Nicole and I am an upbeat and energetic musician. I have grown up with dogs my whole life and absolutely love taking care of them! I also have 4 years of pet and house-sitting experience. I love dogs of all sizes -and cats- but have more experience with small dogs. While you’re away, I will let them out, as well as feed and clean up after them. I can take your babies on walks, outside to play, and give them all the love they could possibly want! I am a recent college graduate looking to take my pet sitting from part-time to full-time! I currently am available 7 days per week. Dates marked as unavailable on the calendar have been booked for overnight stays by private clients, but if you’re nearby I’d be happy to do drop-ins and walks. After letting the pets get accustomed to my being in their home, I’ll try to get a sense of how much attention they want and respond accordingly.
About: Hi, I am a mature and experienced pet owner. I grew up with dogs, cats, and horses, and loved my own dogs (Rottweiler, Boxers, Jack Russell and Frenchton) while raising my children. I am unfortunately not able to have my own pets due to where I live. I have traveled for work, sporting events and vacations and know the stress of finding care for my pets where they will feel loved and be well taken care of. I want to offer peace of mind to others when they cannot take their furry family members with them when traveling. I am a self-employed photographer so I will be able to treat you pet like my own. I will be there in the morning, evening and throughout the day. I can bring my work supplies to you home to work so the only time I will be away for work is for a shoot. I know my appointments in advance and will be able to share the schedule with you to ensure it meets your needs. I am unable to care for pets in my home. When caring for your pet in your home I will follow the instructions you provide. I enjoy playing and hanging out with cats and dogs but also know not all cats and dogs are the same. Through conversation with you I will learn how best to interact with your pet to ensure there is a great experience for all. As a photographer I unfortunately do not have pictures of myself with my pets as I am always on the other side of the camera.
About: I have over three years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I’m certified in dog and cat CPR and first aid, ensuring every pet’s safety and wellbeing while in my care. Along with daily walks, playtime, and cuddles, I also incorporate basic training and positive reinforcement to help keep good habits going strong. Pet care fits perfectly into my active, outdoor lifestyle. I love spending time outside, whether it’s going for walks, hikes, or just enjoying the fresh air—and I always bring the dogs along for the fun. Staying active keeps both me and the pets happy and healthy, and it gives them the exercise and enrichment they need every day. When caring for a dog in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine consistent and their environment comfortable. I follow all feeding, walking, and medication instructions closely while giving plenty of love and attention. I make sure to keep the home clean, secure, and stress-free for the dog, sending regular updates and photos so owners can feel at ease while they’re away.
“Jackie is awesome!! She asked questions ahead of time to make sure our dog Pablo would be comfortable and she took him for a long walk. Pablo clearly loves her and felt comfortable with her which is all I can ask! We will 100% use Jackie again!!!”

“Marybeth was great with Reggie! He’s a goofball and she handled his enthusiasm like the pro she is. Reggie looked forward to their walks—literally—he sat by the door waiting for her to arrive.”

“Rita was wonderful with my pup! It was great to meet her, and she went above and beyond with walking my dog while I was away. Long walks in Colonie park and socializing with other dogs (which my dog struggles with normally - yay!!). Will happily use her walking and boarding services again.”

About: I have always been surrounded by dogs and cats and could not imagine living without any! I know how important it is to find reliable and loving care for your pets and I can guarantee to love yours like my own. I have my own dog named Bellatrix and a kitten named Donut For the next month I will only be working two week days a week rotating Monday/Tuesday and Wednesday/Thursday and then I will switch to a full time WFH position Monday-Friday with availability for walks/drop ins in the morning and companionship throughout the day at my home if it is a good fit. At home pets would be allowed anywhere in the house and we have a nice wooded area in the backyard. If I am visiting your home I would be able to accomodate whatever you are comfortable with.

“This was just our first meet and greet, but she did great! My dog is a rescue and has a lot of fears and anxiety. Linda was very patient, and I saw her using some of the same techniques a dog trainer told me about. We're looking forward to seeing her again!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
