About: I've been a lifelong cat companion and caregiver, having raised and nurtured them since I was young. Over time, I've also bonded with my cousins' and friends' dogs, learning their unique needs and quirks while helping with everything from daily care to playtime. Whether it's a playful pup or a curious cat, I genuinely enjoy keeping tails wagging and whiskers happy. Since I currently work remotely, my schedule is wide open for pet sitting and dog walking— whether it’s a midday stroll or an overnight cuddle session. With a little heads-up, I’m happy to help with house sitting, too. Caring for animals isn’t just a part of my day — it’s something I truly look forward to. In my home, I’m the go-to comfort zone for my two cats — they always come to me for cuddles, calm, and of course, their meals. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I create that same sense of safety and familiarity. My friends’ dogs naturally stick close to me, whether we’re relaxing or out for a walk, because I make sure they feel secure, heard, and happy. Whether it’s your place or mine, I treat every pet like family — with patience, gentleness, and attention to their unique needs.

About: I’ve owned animals my whole life, but didn’t get into professional animal care till about 2 years ago. Since then I have worked at several daycares and been the Assistant Manager at one! I’ve been around all types of pups from your most nervous dogs to your ultra reactive barkers. I’m always willing to work with you and your dogs! I have plenty of time to see your pups as I work primarily in the morning. I am also very flexible with drop-ins and can do most last minute appointments. DISCLAIMER: I do not stay overnight for my house-sitting requests. I have 5 dogs of my own that while I’d love to bring them with me, I cannot. I am able to be there first thing in the AM and as late as needed in the afternoon. My own pup loves other dogs so if you’re comfortable with your pup having a doggy friend, she is able to tag along! I am comfortable with any necessary oral medication administering, normal feedings, and normal play time with the pups! I am also able to do light training if interested. If needed, I can also do nail trims for an additional price.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who grew up around many different types of pets, most common were cats and dogs. I currently have two cats and one friendly dog of my own. I work 7:30-4 in Clifton Park during the week and can stop by before or after work for walks, feeding, and check-ins. I’m also available for overnight stays to keep your pets company in their own home. On weekends I’m more flexible—your pet can stay with me and join us for hikes and walks, or I can stay at your home if they prefer their own space or aren’t dog-friendly. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away! I don’t have a fenced in yard but I have 6 acres of land and walk my own dog regularl, often taking long walks down the road or around the property

About: Hi, I am a mature and experienced pet owner. I grew up with dogs, cats, and horses, and loved my own dogs (Rottweiler, Boxers, Jack Russell and Frenchton) while raising my children. I am unfortunately not able to have my own pets due to where I live. I have traveled for work, sporting events and vacations and know the stress of finding care for my pets where they will feel loved and be well taken care of. I want to offer peace of mind to others when they cannot take their furry family members with them when traveling. I work from home so I will be able to treat you pet like my own. I will be there in the morning, evening, and throughout the day. I can bring my work supplies to you home (reliable wifi is required) to work. I am unable to care for pets in my home. When caring for your pet in your home I will follow the instructions you provide. I enjoy playing and hanging out with cats and dogs but also know not all cats and dogs are the same. Through conversation with you I will learn how best to interact with your pet to ensure there is a great experience for all. The boxers in my picture were mine. They live long spoiled lives, with lots of love and play time. The fawn with the white face was hand-signal trained and if you know boxers, you know that takes patience. They both love people of all ages and were as goofy and as lovable as their boxer reputation.

About: Freedom is my actual birth name! ☺️ So here at Freedom Cares 🫶🏼 I believe all animals have their own unique level of care needs. Whether it’s the anxious abandonment issues, they’ve recently had surgery and need additional special care, are an old introverted who just needs to be let out, has extra energy and prefers long walks, or even a reactive sense of humor. I can most certainly assist with their needs. I grew up with a variety of furry friends from a very young age. I remember being 3 and hiding in my Nanas room with Kittens and snuggling them trying to feed them with my (dolls play baby bottle) and. My experience with animals Includes dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, donkeys, ducks, turtles, cows, fish and more. Animals are always drawn to my calming energy, regardless of where I am. Farm, fair, friends house, walks, etc. I Firmly believe my Biological mom named me Freedom for a reason. So whether it includes picking up dog poo, scooping the litter box, mucking stalls and tossing hay, sprinkling some flakes, refilling the water bottle, etc. I’ve got the experience. 🦮🐰🐈‍⬛🐠🐢🐎 I am a private caregiver to those with disabilities. Therefore my schedule is quite flexible. I can do drop inns, boarding, overnights, walks and more. Some of my clients even enjoy pet therapy. As long as the pet owner is up to that. 😊 As a kid I had many animals and experience with farm life. Including 4H training for dogs. I most recently have experience at a dog daycare. Where we practiced techniques from The Dog Guru. More importantly each animal/client/prospect is different. Therefore, I will follow the clients/animals routine. Whether the animals need long walks and extra attention. Or just a quick drop in and some fresh water. Or extra lovings while their owner is away. Your animal/animals will surely be taken care of.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
