“Samantha and her partner Zachary took fabulous care of our two dogs for three days. They are both high energy young dogs, one 7 months and one 13 months old and we were worried that they were going to be a problem. They love each other, romping like crazy with each other indoors and out and Samantha and Zach had no problem dealing with them. When we went to pick them up, it was obvious that both dogs really liked their caregivers. What more can one hope for in someone taking care of their dogs? We will be using them again when we are back in the Albany area. Thank you, Samantha and Zachary! Clifford and Ann Wagner”

“I highly recommend booking with Cong! She sent so many pictures and videos while my dog, Koda, was staying with her. I hate leaving Koda with people other than family but Cong made me feel comfortable and she communicated constantly throughout Koda’s stay. It was nice to know that Koda was enjoying her time and playing with other dogs! She came home very tired - and a tired dog is a happy dog!!”

“Kim is great with my two dogs. I have used her boarding service twice and have been very happy her care of my dogs. I appreciate the pictures she sends and that her two dogs are happy to have guests. Highly recommend.”

“Jude was wonderful! Very caring and loving! Great backyard for our chocolate to run in! She sent updates and pics and videos daily which was great! I would give her 10 stars!”

“I am blessed to have found Jennifer. She was quick to respond and provided picture and message updates while I was gone. Gus loves her already and I know that he would be comfortable with Jennifer again if the need arises. I would highly recommend her to others.”

“Jannice was wonderful! From the moment we met, I could tell she loves animals. Our dog Lili took to her right away. I highly recommend her! You can’t trust just anyone with your furry baby, but I know I can trust Jannice. - Caroline”

“David was incredibly responsive, kind and easy to work with! He took on my elderly 16 year old pup within a 24 hour notice after we found out our Airbnb didn’t allow dogs :( He took great care of her and sent daily updates which we really appreciated! She felt right at home with him and he made us feel very comforted knowing she was in good hands! Will definitely rejoin with him in the future :)”

About: What sets me apart is the level of compassion, patience, and individualized care I provide to every dog I meet. As a licensed Mental Health Counselor, my profession is built on trust, attentiveness, and understanding each individual’s unique needs—and I bring that same approach to caring for pets. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all experience. Whether your dog is energetic and loves long walks, prefers a slower pace, or simply enjoys extra cuddles and companionship, I’ll tailor my care to what makes them feel happiest and most comfortable. I treat every dog as if they were my own, keeping pet parents updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your furry family member is safe, loved, and receiving exceptional care every step of the way. Hi! I’m a licensed Mental Health Counselor with a genuine love for animals and a passion for providing compassionate, dependable care. My career has taught me the value of patience, trust, and creating a calm, supportive environment—qualities I bring to every pet I care for. I offer evening dog walks after 7:00 PM, making it easy for busy pet parents to ensure their dogs get the exercise, attention, and potty breaks they need. I also provide weekend boarding in my loving home, so you can enjoy a weekend away knowing your furry family member is safe, comfortable, and treated like one of my own. Whether we’re going for a walk, playing, cuddling, or simply relaxing, I’ll make sure your pup receives plenty of love, attention, and personalized care. I understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust, and I’m committed to giving you peace of mind while you’re away. I live in a clean, pet-friendly apartment without a fenced yard, but that doesn’t mean your dog will miss out on exercise or outdoor time! My own dog enjoys multiple walks throughout the day, and I make it a priority to provide regular potty breaks, fresh air, and plenty of physical activity. We have a wonderful neighborhood that’s perfect for safe, enjoyable walks, and I’ll make sure your pup gets the same level of care, attention, and exercise as my own. Every dog has different needs, so I’ll tailor our walks and activity level to match your pet’s age, energy level, and personality, ensuring they stay happy, healthy, and comfortable during their stay.
“Kevinh was fantastic! He gave adequate updates on Zula and sent lots of cute pictures. Drop off and pick up was a breeze and he responds to messages quickly. He’s also very flexible if you have travel delays. I could tell that Zula was very comfortable around him. I would highly recommend.”

“Kania was AMAZING with our dog, Dude. She sent daily pictures and videos and was very prompt at getting back to us to help put our minds at ease while we were away. In the past, we have boarded our little guy at the vet and it always took him awhile to seem like himself again when we got home. Not with Kania! Dude acted as though he had never been away! That to me is a sign of a great sitter! Highly recommend! :)”

“Emer took great care of our little dog. Her house and yard are well set up for dogs. She was easy to communicate with and a pleasure to deal with. My dog came home happy and relaxed.”

“Laura is an angel in human form! She has an ABUNDANCE of experience working with dogs, especially senior pups like ours. We have never felt so comfortable leaving our 17 and 16 year old dogs with a sitter. Thanks Laura!”

Richelle was amazing! She was available when we were in a bind and she was able to care for our dog while we were out of the country. She kept us informed for the whole time and our dog seemed happy and well-cared for. We will happily book her again in the future!

Emmaly is amazing! She has been both our regular dog walker and boarding sitter, and I always know Nutmeg is in great hands. She sends lots of pictures and videos, keeps me updated, and it's obvious how much she genuinely cares about the dogs she watches. This stay was extra special because her daughters even threw Nutmeg a little birthday party! He came home happy, healthy, and completely exhausted from all the fun. I can't recommend Emmaly enough if you're looking for someone who will treat your dog like family.

Frances and her family are amazing! Our sweet girl Dolly was in the best hands and we are so grateful that she got so much activity and attention. Frances was very easy to communicate with and gave plenty of pictures which made my day. Would absolutley re-book and reccomend

I didn’t think it was possible for my puppy to be tired but she is wiped from her weekend with Net and her pack! She had the best time playing and I was able to enjoy my trip knowing she was safe in a great home. Net was so accommodating about my last minute trip and understanding of my flat tire on the way home! I received several updates each day and we were sent home with some goodies! Will absolutely use Net again in the future. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
