“***FIRST TIME ROVER USER**** When my normal sitter became unavailable, unexpectantly, I had no idea what to do. I was at the point of not going away on my vacation because it was about a week away from leaving. This was my first time using Rover, and my anxiety was through the roof about the entire process and the idea of a stranger coming into my home. I chose Marybeth primarily based upon location, her photos of her and her pets and her age/experience. Upon meeting Marybeth, her overall kindness and genuine, sweet, friendly personality put me at ease immediately. She listened attentively to what my needs were and my animals routines, without trying to change or judge anything. She was promptly responsive to all of my communication prior to leaving for my trip and the duration as well. When meeting (2) of my (3) fur babies kitties (only because 1 is a scaredy cat and won't come out for anyone really), you could tell immediately that she has a love of cats and taking care of them appropriately and lovingly. I left instructions for her and she followed all of my requests (even non animal related, like bringing in my mail and checking on my refrigerator door that pops open). She was even kind enough to check on my hamster even though that was not part of the animals requested to watch. Every day while I was gone, she was on time, left me a happy little note about the status of everything and pictures of all my babies. Personally, the fear/worry/anxiety about leaving my babies as well as just someone coming in my home was enormous, and Marybeth really put that to ease for me. (I know I already mentioned that, but I figured for anyone reading this, who is on the fence about hiring through Rover). I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, kind, sweet person to take care of your precious family members while you are away. She even returned my key promptly upon my return. Thank you to her again. I am forever grateful for her.”

About: I have 2 dogs at home back in Austin, one since late 2012, the other since early 2016. I've always gotten along well with dogs. I've found that most of them are very perceptive to who dog people are and they basically always recognize that in me. My dogs back in Austin helped me get through the day. Other than going to school at Hudson Valley Community College, there hopefully shouldn't be any scheduling conflicts. I try to make sure my dogs get enough attention, and usually we can count on each other for emotional support when they wouldn't prefer to spend time with the other members of my family.

“Larissa was recommended from a friend for a last minute urgent need. Larissa did a meet-and-greet and 5 drop-in-visits. She made our out-of-state trip significantly less stressful, knowing they were in good hands. She was able to administer a capsule medication and give lots of love and play to our babies in addition to the less glamorous aspect of scooping a multi-cat home and cleaning some cat vomit up. She even managed to coax our timid cat out for scratches after I adamently assured her he would hide the entire time lol. We plan to recommend Larissa to friends and rebook ourselves. Although our cats were happy to have us home, they also seemed a little disappointed that we were not her.”

About: I have dealt with dogs nearly my entire life! I’d love to pop in and take your pup for a walk and spend some one on one time with them! I have expierence in a lot of various dog breeds! I work full time as a Nurse and am looking for something rewarding to do after my daily 8-4! I currently work full time as a Nurse. I work some days until 2 or 4. Although I do have quite a bit of flexibility! I am trustworthy and am more than willing to provide pop in visits or can discuss other options if needed in your home as well!

About: I’ve had cats my entire life and a dog since I was ten. I’ve also been volunteering at animal shelters since the beginning of 2024! I have a calm energy which is great for putting anxious pets at ease. I have the most experience with small dogs but love dogs of all sizes! I have the most availability on weekends but I have no problem making weeknight visits to provide your pets with the care they deserve! I have my own car so transportation is not an issue. Pet safety whether out and about or in your home is my top priority! I am careful to observe animal body language so I can better know when to give a pet space or remove them from a distressing situation. About: For a year, I walked my neighbor's Cavalier King Charles spaniel while she was recovering from a hip injury, until she could walk better. She and her daughter greatly appreciated my help and have said to me that their dog Cooper has been so much happier ever since he met me. I am a college student that goes to school 5 days a week from 7am to 2 pm. I can do early morning walks before 7am since I am a morning person, and I can do walks or come over after class. I am free on most weekends. I am free most of the time in the summer from June to August. I cannot bring pets into my home since I have two cats that are not very pet-friendly. But I can do all the care you need me to do at your house.

About: I’ve had pets my entire life and have always enjoyed taking care of friends and family’s pets. I’ve taken care of countless dogs and cats including puppies. I work until 3:30 pm on weekdays but I am completely free on the Saturdays and Sundays and have some availability in afternoons after 4 pm and at night. I have experience dog sitting and following instructions on when to feed the pets as well as how often to take them out etc. I always make sure to keep any human food or dangerous objects out of reach and to always keep an eye on them while in the house. On walks I am also very attentive and make sure that the dog is secure in the harness.
