I live and breathe dogs — training, sports, and overall enjoyment are my passion. Your pup will get safe, structured care, plenty of exercise, and personal attention while you get peace of mind and daily updates. We keep a very rigid structured routine. Our day starts between 6-7am, with initial let outs--group play if appropriate to get that morning energy out. Then we settle in for breakfast time, all dogs rest 30 minutes prior to meals, 30 minutes to eat, then followed by another 30-60 minutes to digest. This helps prevent bloat( while any size dog CAN bloat--most often occurs in larger/deep chested breeds, but I take no chances). We then are in and out throughout the rest of the day when dinner time commences between 5-6pm, repeating the same 30-30-30/60 routine. Last let outs and romps wrapping up around 10-11pm. I don't operate a free for all. Fully fenced in yard. Specifically zoned areas for potting and play. Daily house keeping services including vacuuming and daily crate wipe down and disinfection. Dogs are outside as much as we can be, under direct supervision weather permitting.

About: Freedom is my actual birth name (preferred btw) So here at Freedom Cares 🫶🏼 I believe all animals have their own unique level of care needs. I grew up with a variety of furry friends from a very young age. I remember being 3 and hiding in my Nanas room with Kittens and snuggling them trying to feed them with my (dolls play baby bottle) and. My experience with animals Includes dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, donkeys, ducks, turtles, cows, fish and more. Animals are always drawn to my calming energy, regardless of where I am. Farm, fair, friends house, walks, etc. I Firmly believe my Biological mom named me Freedom for a reason. I am a private caregiver to those with disabilities. Therefore my schedule is quite flexible. I can do drop inns, boarding, overnights, walks and more. Some of my clients even enjoy pet therapy. As long as the pet owner is up to that. 😊 As a kid I had many animals and experience with farm life. Including 4H training for dogs. I most recently have experience at a dog daycare. Where we practiced techniques from The Dog Guru. More importantly each animal/client/prospect is different. Therefore, I will follow the clients/animals routine. Whether the animals need long walks and extra attention. Or just a quick drop in and some fresh water. Or extra lovings while their owner is away. Your animal/animals will surely be taken care of.

I am a self employed artist, performer, photographer, and dance instructor. I am able to make trips during the day to care for your pet while you're at work and I am also able to hang with them in the evenings if you decide you want to have a night out! I like building trust between animals. Repeated visits with pets are very important to help reduce stress on them. I give them space upon first meeting to give them the opportunity to approach me when they are ready to do so. until in no time we are besties.

About: I grew up with dogs and have lived with multiple dogs at a time. I also have experience navigating food, treats, toys, and walking with multiple dogs at a time. I fostered three dogs before adopting my own. I loved training my own dog as a puppy and would be happy to help with yours while sitting. I work part-time with a very flexible schedule. I am available most days for dog walks and overnight stays. I prefer to have your dog stay with me aside from 1-2 night stays. I alternate walls with either 2-3 neighborhood daily walks or a longer hike with a daily walk, however will accommodate dogs needs as advised. I will follow your lead as you know your pet best in regards to feeding, sleeping areas, and exercise. I understand how it takes a lot of trust to leave your pet with someone else so I aim to be an excellent communicator, attentive and responsive to your pets needs. I prefer to walk dogs on leash especially with an orange vest during hunting season, unless in an enclosed space. I am a big fan of having my dog Ziggy meet yours outside of the home first and/or letting your dog sniff around before bringing my dog in to avoid over stimulation and potential aggression. Although my dog is not possessive or aggressive towards other dogs! I have a fenced yard with grass to allow the dogs to play and use the bathroom. I do not have a kennel, so if your dog kennels, we will need to bring it to our home. Looking forward to meeting your dog!

About: My love for animals began early on once I rescued my first childhood pet. Throughout my life I have walked and taken care of animals however, my love grew insurmountably when I rescued my first dog (Gordy) myself. Gordy and I loved walking, hiking, going on adventures, and snuggling. Unfortunately, in November 2024 he was diagnosed with a variety of complicated health problems and passed away in April 2025. That journey led me have experience in handling diabetic dogs (giving insulin, being aware of behavioral changes, and giving medication). I also have some experience/knowledge in dog training as Gordy was a canine good citizen. I am acutely aware of how to successfully walk and handle hyperactive pups and love to provide other enriching activities. I am communicative and love interacting with both dogs and humans and I find it important to gain the trust of you as I know all too well how much your pup means to you. I am a licensed mental health counselor who currently works primarily at home. I have a flexible schedule allowing plenty time for a good walk and enrichment while also providing appropriate downtime and attention. While I do live in an apartment, I have access to a number of parks in the Troy area while also willing to travel to surrounding areas for more fun.

About: In my home animals are considered family. I will treat your family with the same love and attention I provide my own. I have cared for animals my entire life, and have experience with large and small dog breeds, cats and birds. Each animal is different and needs to be cared for differently. About: Hello! I (Mellysa) have 14 years of veterinary specialty and emergency hospital experience as well as fostering and pet sitting. Prior to that I grew up in 4H and was responsible for farm animals from large animals like cows, horses, pigs, sheep to chickens and peacocks and other fowl. My partner (Chris) and I work together petsitting and own an online business as well. We specialize in patients that have extra needs or need to have medications or treatments administered, but love healthy pets too! We can do daycare or overnight care at our house. We enjoy working with all types of breeds, young and old, feline and canine. For daycare or boarding, they must be under 15 lbs. I (Mellysa) am well trained to be alert and ensure your pet is comfortable and healthy at all times. We will never force your pet to do something that they do not want to do or is unsafe.
