Mark & Sylva were great hosts for my dog when we needed a few hours of care while my son toured a nearby college. They were welcoming and kind and did a great job with her. I'd happily book again if we're in Troy in the future. Thank you!

About: 🐾🏡 About Me Hi! I’m a lifelong dog owner, trainer, and former kennel manager with experience caring for all breeds, ages, and personalities. My home is active and structured, with plenty of playtime, exercise, and enrichment. I currently share my home with Border Collies, Labradors, and a few mixed breeds, and we’re active in dog sports like frisbee, obedience, and dock diving. Whether your dog is social or needs their own space, I can accommodate them — as long as they are people-friendly. I strive to make dogs feel comfortable, safe, and happy while you have peace of mind. 🐶 What Your Dog Can Expect Safe, structured, and enriching days: Morning play/walks, breakfast, digest & rest breaks, afternoon activities, and evening wind-down. Large fenced backyard + indoor play area for all weather. Crate-based routine for meals, rest, and overnight for safety and comfort. Daily updates: Photos, videos, and notes so you stay connected. Personalized attention based on your dog’s personality, energy, and needs. 📍 Convenient Location Just 3 miles from Albany Airport Near I-87, I-90, and I-88 — perfect for travelers ✅ What I Provide Expansive fenced yard & indoor play space Wide collection of dog equipment (bring only collar, leash, and food) Experience with puppies, seniors, reactive dogs, and multiple breeds Knowledge of breed-specific needs, safety, and bloat prevention 📌 What I Need From You Vaccinations required: Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella Crate-trained dogs only What to bring: Collar, leash, and food (please no beds) 🗓 Drop-Off & Pick-Up Morning: 6:00–7:30 AM Evening: 6:00–7:30 PM No Saturday evenings or holiday exchanges Please specify a time to avoid overlap — residential area, so we keep things calm for neighbors and dogs 💬 Meet & Greets Recommended for all new clients Please schedule at least 2 weeks prior to your stay 📅 Routine & Peak Season Peak Season: May 1 – September 30 Structured routine: multiple outdoor sessions, playtime, meals with digestion breaks, rest periods — no free-for-all boarding ✨ Why Choose Me? I live and breathe dogs — training, sports, and overall enjoyment are my passion. Your pup will get safe, structured care, plenty of exercise, and personal attention while you get peace of mind and daily updates. We keep a very rigid structured routine. Our day starts between 6-7am, with initial let outs--group play if appropriate to get that morning energy out. Then we settle in for breakfast time, all dogs rest 30 minutes prior to meals, 30 minutes to eat, then followed by another 30-60 minutes to digest. This helps prevent bloat( while any size dog CAN bloat--most often occurs in larger/deep chested breeds, but I take no chances). We then are in and out throughout the rest of the day when dinner time commences between 5-6pm, repeating the same 30-30-30/60 routine. Last let outs and romps wrapping up around 10-11pm. I don't operate a free for all. Fully fenced in yard. Specifically zoned areas for potting and play. Daily house keeping services including vacuuming and daily crate wipe down and disinfection. Dogs are outside as much as we can be, under direct supervision weather permitting.

I can’t say enough great things! From the moment I dropped my dog off, they went above and beyond to make sure he felt comfortable and cared for. They kept me updated throughout the day, sent lots of photos, and made sure he had everything he needed—including feeding him his breakfast. It gave me such peace of mind knowing he was not only safe, but truly happy and well taken care of. The level of communication and attention to detail was phenomenal. You can really tell how much they care about the dogs in their care. Highly recommend this daycare to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving place for their pup!

About: I grew up with dogs and have lived with multiple dogs at a time. I also have experience navigating food, treats, toys, and walking with multiple dogs at a time. I fostered three dogs before adopting my own. I loved training my own dog as a puppy and would be happy to help with yours while sitting. I work part-time with a very flexible schedule. I am available most days for dog walks and overnight stays. I prefer to have your dog stay with me aside from 1-2 night stays. I alternate walls with either 2-3 neighborhood daily walks or a longer hike with a daily walk, however will accommodate dogs needs as advised. I will follow your lead as you know your pet best in regards to feeding, sleeping areas, and exercise. I understand how it takes a lot of trust to leave your pet with someone else so I aim to be an excellent communicator, attentive and responsive to your pets needs. I prefer to walk dogs on leash especially with an orange vest during hunting season, unless in an enclosed space. I am a big fan of having my dog Ziggy meet yours outside of the home first and/or letting your dog sniff around before bringing my dog in to avoid over stimulation and potential aggression. Although my dog is not possessive or aggressive towards other dogs! I have a fenced yard with grass to allow the dogs to play and use the bathroom. I do not have a kennel, so if your dog kennels, we will need to bring it to our home. Looking forward to meeting your dog!

About: Hello! I (Mellysa) have 14 years of veterinary specialty and emergency hospital experience as well as fostering and pet sitting. Prior to that I grew up in 4H and was responsible for farm animals from large animals like cows, horses, pigs, sheep to chickens and peacocks and other fowl. My partner (Chris) and I work together petsitting and own an online business as well. We specialize in patients that have extra needs or need to have medications or treatments administered, but love healthy pets too! We can do daycare or overnight care at our house. We enjoy working with all types of breeds, young and old, feline and canine. For daycare or boarding, they must be under 15 lbs. I (Mellysa) am well trained to be alert and ensure your pet is comfortable and healthy at all times. We will never force your pet to do something that they do not want to do or is unsafe. My priority is for your pet to play safe and have fun! I can't wait to work with your pet! I work from home for my own business. I offer day care or boarding in our home. I love pets of all kinds and have vast experience with almost all, including reptiles! I have a fenced yard with several points of security. The plants are non toxic and no pets go out unsupervised. I take special care to ensure any pets respond well to my two small dogs for everyone's safety.

About: I have always been an animal lover and had dogs growing up. In the more recent past, I took care of four dogs and currently have two cats. I currently work from home. This allows me a great deal of flexibility within my schedule to be able to accommodate requests for pet care. Taking great care of your pet and ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and loved is of the upmost importance to me! Animals are a part of the family and should be treated as such.

About: I am absolutely obsessed with cats and I feel like I do Rover more so because I love interacting with other cats. It’s not even a side hustle :) Should you need me, I’m reliable, efficient, caring, and will treat your cat like he or she is mine. I can also travel anywhere so just let me know whatever is needed. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine. I recently bought a house here in Albany, so it’s just me and my studies now — which means I have plenty of time and flexibility to devote to caring for your cats. As a law student, my classes are only on Mondays and Wednesdays, so the rest of the week I’m fully available to spend quality time making sure your cat (or cats!) get the love, attention, and care they need. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping your cat’s routine consistent and stress-free. That means fresh food and water on schedule, a clean litter box, and plenty of playtime and affection — whether that’s cuddles, brushing, or just quiet company if your cat prefers space. I always make sure to respect your home, follow your instructions closely, and send regular updates so you know your pet is happy and safe. If I’m welcoming a cat into my own home, I create a calm, cozy environment with safe spaces for them to explore or retreat to, depending on their personality. I treat every cat as if they were my own — with patience, attentiveness, and lots of love.

About: I grew up with dogs, caring for them and playing with them. As an adult, our family has had dogs for past 20 years, and I wouldn't have it any other way! Now that my kids are adults, I can devote more time to my dream of a pet sitting business. It truly is a labor of love. I understand how stressful it can be to make sure your beloved pets are in good hands when you must leave them. It's my pleasure to provide this peace of mind for you, and them! Update: we lost Brodie (lab mix pictured) in August 2023. There is a great void currently, so until we get to the point of adopting a new furry family member, I especially welcome to opportunity to care for your pet. Currently, we have no dogs but 2 indoor/outdoor cats, who are accustomed to dogs. PLEASE NOTE: your dog must be OK around men (my husband, Tom). Currently, I am available on most weekends and also on some holidays. I may also have increased availability in 2024, as my schedule may change.,. I have a sizable fenced yard, and a dedicated area downstairs for your pet. I provide pet beds, dog bowls and toys. Feel free to provide a crate if desired, plus any special toys.

About: Hi I would love to help look after your pets while you can’t. I have had my own pets my entire adult life so feel assured that your fur baby will be loved and well looked after. I also have my own puppy so your baby will always have a friend to play with here. I can also train your puppy to do basic tricks like sit, high five, etc. I have taught a lot of my friends puppies that recently. I also have a house with a fenced backyard so they will have plenty of space to run around or chill. I have a hybrid work schedule and I am usually home Thursday to Sunday during the day. So I can be available 24*7 on those days but if you need boarding or day care services on other days, I can make that work too if you can shoot me a quick message to discuss. I have a house with a fenced yard so your fur baby will have plenty of space to run around or chill. I also have a puppy coming in October so he will be there to keep your babies company soon.

Awesome, awesome, awesome is all I can say about Jodi. She took care of my lab, Browser while visiting my daughter in New York. We had never used Rover.com before so we were very nervous. As soon as I met Jodi, all my anxiety went away. Her vibe was amazing. I knew I made the right choice. Her communication with us was great ahead of time, and her communication with us while Browser was with her was great. Lots of fun pictures. She asked all the right questions about taking care of him. She was very flexible with our schedule. Browser went to Jodi for 2 days. We picked him up and he was clearly happy, and when we dropped him off the next day he ran to her. Jodi made our trip so much fun because I knew Browser was having fun and well cared for. If you are in the area - don't hesitate to call on Jodi. You won't be disappointed.
