About: I work in the veterinary field as an assistant and am also Fear Free certified. This means I am trained to handle my patients using techniques to reduce their fear, stress and anxiety. I'm very knowledgeable and experience in veterinary medicine, as well as years of pet sitting. I am comfortable administering medications, nail trimming, ear cleanings and following any other routines you may have for your pet! My job gives me the opportunity to care for people's pets on a regular basis. I do work different shifts at my job, however I do know my schedule a month ahead of time which makes it easier for me to let you know when I would be available for drop ins. I do also have 3 cats and a bearded dragon of my own at home. My cats are a big priority for me at home. One of my cats is on a special diet and another gets medications twice daily. They all receive routine veterinary care and lots of love from both of us. We do not allow other's pets in our home as we have to consider the stress level of our own cats. However, I have many references of those who have trusted me in their own home to take care of their animals. You'll never have to worry about me leaving a mess or neglecting your pet's needs, we will always be in touch while they are under your care. Please feel free to ask for photos or videos to make sure they are doing well!

“Nastasha is excellent. She house-sat for my two large (70lb each,) high-energy dogs and indoor cat for 6 nights while we were away on vacation. Her communication was fast and clear and we came back to happy and settled pups. She sent photos and videos that gave us a lot of peace of mind. We also live in the country a bit and Natasha did great with all that accompanies that. Highly reccomend!”

“Lauren was very communicative and responsive for our entire vacation. She went above and beyond to make sure Forest had what he needed and even got him out on some nice long walks. She also made sure things around the house were taken care and even took a few additional requests with ease. I would absolutely book again and highly recommend to anyone else who needs loyal and proper care for their furry friends.”

“Merissa is so wonderful, kind, prompt, and genuinely caring!! My boy loved her and she took amazing care of him!! Highly recommend her for all your pet care needs!”

About: Hello, thank you for reading my profile! About 20 years ago, one of my coworkers asked if I would be interested in caring for her Border Collie and cat while she was away. Being an animal lover, I jumped at the opportunity. I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with her pets at her home and taking her dog for regular walks around their neighborhood. Word quickly spread among my coworkers, and I became known as our program's pet sitter. :) Soon, I was invited to care for one coworker's Golden Retriever, rabbit, and cat; another's two Labrador Retrievers; another's two cats; another's dog, fish, pony, and two horses; another's Old English Sheepdog and cats; another's cat and flock of chickens; another's Labrador Retriever, etc. Everyone told me I did a great job, thanked me for my warm and loving care of their animals, and said upon their return that their animals seemed happy, relaxed, and very well taken care of. :) Years later, my husband and I bought a house with a fenced yard, adopted a young dog from the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society's animal shelter who loved to play with other dogs, and started to watch other people's dogs at our house. Now that our dog is a senior dog, he seems to prefer quiet time more and to not enjoy having so many different dogs at our house as much as he did when he was younger, other than his two best dog friends. I still love taking dogs for walks, playing with cats and dogs, and cuddling with cats and dogs, so I decided to offer the service of house sitting instead of boarding. I truly enjoy caring for animals, and I would love to care for additional animals. Thank you for reading my profile, and please contact me if you would like to schedule a meet-and-greet! I look forward to meeting you and your pet(s)! Currently, I work remotely during the week, and I work as a care companion for older adults in their homes on Friday evenings and Sundays. I provide pet-centered care, knowing each animal has unique needs and preferences. I understand the importance of maintaining routines in fostering an animal's sense of contentment and wellbeing, and I will do my best to maintain familiar routines. I am detail oriented and follow instructions carefully. I am a homebody and am quiet, but I love spending time in nature with animals, particularly going on walks with dogs or playing fetch with dogs outside. I will care for your pets as I do my own. :)

“We were very satisfied with our pet sitters! They did a great job taking care of our four dogs and one cat. They stayed in our home, respected our space, and sent daily updates, which gave us great peace of mind. Everyone was happy and well cared for—highly recommend!”

“Samantha was wonderful watching our dog while we went on vacation. She was very responsive, kept us informed, and gave our dog lots of love. We will definitely use her again!”

“Christina was an absolute blessing to 13-lb Iorek for my 10-day trip. Iorek has many special needs, and from the moment we made first contact, Christine was sensitive to learning his needs and enthusiastic to accommodate them. This approach persisted throughout my 10 days away while she stayed at my apartment to care for Iorek. Each day, I received adorable photos and updates written thoughtfully and with a clear intent to put my anxious dog-mom mind at rest. Christine ensured that Iorek’s routine was disturbed as little as possible, including facilitating play dates with neighbors (both dog and human). I returned home to a puppy free of anxiety or stress, and a tidy and clean home, all linens washed from her use and everything in its place. What a delight! I can’t say enough good stuff about Christine. If you’re lucky enough to book her, your pet will thank you! My future travel plans will always include Christine.”

“Our dog, Mara, has some separation anxiety and we are so happy Charlotte was able to stay with her again to be a familiar, friendly face. She was prompt, respectful of our home, and very easy to work with. We look forward to working with Charlotte again!”

“Andrea has taken care of my dog Sadie many times. Sadie is a nervous and sometimes difficult dog, especially with new people. Andrea has been fantastic with her. She loves Sadie and its mutual; she also is super reliable and communicative about clarifying when and what care is needed. She spends extra time caring for Sadie. She also has cared for other friends' animals for years, and I know they all would say the same. I recently had a bad experience with another dog sitter and it makes how great Andrea is stand out all the more. I give her the highest possible recommendation.”
