About: Hello, thank you for reading my profile! About 20 years ago, one of my coworkers asked if I would be interested in caring for her Border Collie and cat while she was away. Being an animal lover, I jumped at the opportunity. I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with her pets at her home and taking her dog for regular walks around their neighborhood. Word quickly spread among my coworkers, and I became known as our program's pet sitter. :) Soon, I was invited to care for one coworker's Golden Retriever, rabbit, and cat; another's two Labrador Retrievers; another's two cats; another's dog, fish, pony, and two horses; another's Old English Sheepdog and cats; another's cat and flock of chickens; another's Labrador Retriever, etc. Everyone told me I did a great job, thanked me for my warm and loving care of their animals, and said upon their return that their animals seemed happy, relaxed, and very well taken care of. :) Years later, my husband and I bought a house with a fenced yard, adopted a young dog from the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society's animal shelter who loved to play with other dogs, and started to watch other people's dogs at our house. Now that our dog is a senior dog, he seems to prefer quiet time more and to not enjoy having so many different dogs at our house as much as he did when he was younger, other than his two best dog friends. I still love taking dogs for walks, playing with cats and dogs, and cuddling with cats and dogs, so I decided to offer the service of house sitting instead of boarding. About: ❤️😻🐶❤️🐾I’ve been an animal lover my whole life!! I was a dog walker for one year, but there was too much driving involved everyday so I had to stop unfortunately. The pet sits I’ve done since then and now have been through close friends, not Rover, which may explain the little history I have on this app, but I have a lot more experience in real life. I’m a fan of Ceasar Milan’s work and have learned a lot from him about animal communication and training. My best skill is being loving. I’m the person who might go to a party, but you’ll find me tucked away with the animals in the house hanging out with them instead! 😂 I’ve been a dog walker, and have sat for many different cats and dogs of my friends who unfortunately are not on Rover, but any one of them would vouch for me! About: I have had the opportunity to care for young puppies and elderly dogs over the last three years. Both ends of the spectrum require different levels of care, but more importantly, it requires love and patience. I am able to go for as many walks as needed, administer pain and behavioral medications, or just snuggle on the couch. I would be able to stop by for pet care in the morning before 9AM, during my lunch break around 1PM, and then after 5PM. All animals are on different schedules, but my flexibility hopefully will mesh with yours! I would first like to meet your animal before officially becoming their sitter. I want them to become acclimated with me and see if we would respond well to each other, especially with me entering into their home. For dogs, I can administer medications, go on walks, observe back yard play (if applicable) and provide them with all the food and treats they’re allowed. For cats, I can scoop and deeply clean litter, brush and maintain their fur if needed, and again, provide all the food and treats! Both also deserve some indoor play time as well, so more then happy to participate in play time

About: Ever since I was four years old I had my first puppy. I loved her with everything I had, I believe that love me and my family gave her made her have such a long life. She was a Pomeranian and chiwawa mix, she was said to live till 6 she lived till 15. I have also rescued each of my pets so I understand how to handle and gain trust from anxiety and scared dogs. I also have experience with puppies so I expect to have to clean messes and I am fine with that. I am 100% a dog person. I want dogs to be living their best lives and give them as much love as they give us. I handle stressful and intense situations well, I am good under pressure. I love all dogs little chiwawas to huge great danes, no pup phases me. I am also felxible! I currently work from home which makes dog care easily in my schedule. I have a dog in my apartment named Elton and I go by his schedule. We go on both a walk and to the park everyday. In home I like to keep my dog busy with toys and running around. When he needs outside time I will bring him on walks or to the park. I know of both a park with no dogs for those who prefer alone time and parks with kind dogs for those who like to play.
