“We have a senior pup with quite a few special needs and Tatiana has been wonderful at being gentle with him and accommodating of his needs when checking in on him during the day. We feel a lot more comfortable knowing our old boy is getting good care nowadays in the middle of the day.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I could remember. I love them so much. Everyone calls me the dog whisperer whenever they need a helping hand with their fur babies. I do charge an additional fee for gas, due to gas prices being so high and the high intake I receive from my guests. I currently work part time but I’m available usually after 9am throughout the week. I do work weekends usually but I can be flexible with stopping in the morning and evenings times for your fur babies. I am temporarily in a transition moving right now, for the Army National Guard. I am living at Home until I receive my new orders. So I will come to you for any of your visits you need for your fur babies!
“Lindsey was an absolute delight. Gave us very clear updates, followed our instructions to a T, and went above and beyond in taking care of Hank while we were out of town. Despite the short notice, she quickly bonded with Hank and was attentive to his needs. She even folded up his blanket into a nice bed and gave him dinner early so we didn’t have to worry about it when we got home. I will definitely ask for her help again soon.”
About: I’m a graduating law student looking to take pup-filled study breaks while I prepare for the bar exam. I have a big cat named Perry and I love dogs. I’ve had at least one dog my entire life, and most of my family members have as well, so I have a lot of experience with many different breeds. I hope you’ll trust me to take care of your beloved pets while you’re away. Even shy dogs and cats tend to warm up to me quickly, and I love getting them out of their shells. Please note that I am unable to do walks longer than 20-30 minutes. I am available for longer daytime stays but not overnight stays. I am currently a student, so my schedule, while a little sporadic, is fairly open, especially on the weekends. I also enjoy taking walks when I can, so adding dogs to those walks can only make them better! I do not accept clients for boarding. If and when I do drop in visits, I will make sure and follow the owner’s instructions, and primarily make sure the pet feels comforted and doesn’t feel alone.
“I highly recommend Lydia. Her calm energy is exactly what my dogs need. My lively dogs are happy and tired after her walks and drop-ins. What I appreciate most about my interaction with Lydia is her communication. She is proactive and thoughtful in the way she communicates. She asks for clarification and she anticipates any possible needs that may come up. It was great to see photos and get her updates when she spent time with the dogs. I feel confident she will carry out whatever we discuss. She is also reliable and timely. I would definitely call on her again!”

“Julianna came and did some drop-off visits for my malinois and pug, she was very communicative and punctual. My dogs were well taken care of and I really appreciate the peace of mind while we were out for the day.”

“Sarah did great with our cats…very reliable and a good cat photographer! She spent a good 30 mins each visit. Kept things tidy, even wound our grandfather clock for us. Would love to book her again.”

“Summer is very caring of my puppy and kitties. She came to the rescue when I went on a short day trip which turned into a all day and night trip. She helped out with allowing tinkle time and love time with Sookie. I am forever grateful.”

“Dawn was great and it’s even better that she lives so close to me. We really enjoyed getting pictures while we were away for the evening. I will definitely be using her again.”

About: I take pride in all thing's pets. I honestly like animals better than people ha-ha. I'm also a great trainer. I work from home as well so Im always available for cuddles. I work from home full-time so I always have time for playtime and cuddles between client appointments. My fur babies are also super sweet and playful so your fur baby is in great paws. About: I require meet and greets for all new pups at least one week in advance prior to their stay. Please allow for enough time for this if sending a new request and I have not cared for your pup yet. ☺️ I've taken care of dogs and cats of all ages, sizes and abilities my entire life (as well as hamsters, mice, turtles and fish). I've done volunteer work at my local vet as well as trained my own puppies and adult dogs over the years, and cared for my dogs and cats in their senior years. I've rescued abandoned cats and dogs, often being animals that have been injured, and taken them into my home to aid in their recovery, so I am familiar with care of pets with different abilities/medical needs. Friends, family and neighbors have relied on me to feed, walk, give medications, stay overnight and care for their pets. I have an immense amount of affection for animals, concern for their welfare, and a willingness to accommodate each pet. I have a familiarity with animals, knowledge of animal behavior and a comfort and ability to work with animals of unknown disposition and those who may exhibit medical and other problems. I'm currently working full-time from home, so I'll have plenty of time to give your sweet, furry family members a ton of love and attention! I'm available for boarding on weekends and weekends. I do daily, thorough cleanings of all animal areas and feed my pup and cats twice a day. Your sweet boy or girl will be fed based on the directions given by you, at whatever times you prefer. I have 5 cats of my own and I also have an extra room that can be used solely for any visiting cats for their own peace of mind and comfort. None of my pets will be allowed in that room for the duration of your baby's stay if preferred (I've done this successfully multiple times with my family member's cats and new cats I have brought in over the years). Your pup can come along with mine for walks, or if that gives you worry, they can also stay home and only be taken out in the backyard when they have to go. Any time I will be gone for more than just a few minutes, I plug in my doggy camera so that I can check in at any moment. I work from home M-F, between the hours of 7am-5pm. Due to morning schedule of caring for several animals, working a full-time job, and bringing my son to school, I have limited drop-off and pick-up times to evenings only, up to 9:30 pm, M-F. This also allows me to have full attention on your pup when they first arrive to ensure they adjust well and feel comfortable. Weekend times are flexible. Pups are walked at least once daily (based on their leash training). I have a fenced in yard and also have a lead if one is preferred. Please let me know if your pup has any history of jumping fences. I can easily crate your dog if needed as I have two different sizes. I do daily cleanings of all animal areas and feed my pup and cats twice a day. Your sweet boy or girl will be fed at whatever times you prefer. I have an extra room that can be used solely for any visiting cats for their own peace of mind and comfort. Your pup can come along with mine for walks and dog park trips, or if that gives you worry, they can also stay home and only be taken out in the backyard when they have to go. Any time I am away from home I turn my doggy camera on so that I can check in at any moment (since they really are our babies and we tend to have anxiety about what might happen to them when we're gone in the same way we do with children)! There are no young children living in my home, but I do have a 16 year old son. While he'll definitely assist in providing your babies with extra love and affection during their stay (his naturally calm energy makes him great with animals), I provide all direct care for any visiting pet friends!

About: What sets me apart is that I focus on making every dog feel safe, comfortable, and understood. I’m reliable, patient, and attentive to each dog’s personality and routine, whether they’re high-energy puppies or older dogs who need a slower pace and extra care. I’m especially comfortable with: - Puppies and young dogs, including reinforcing basic training like leash manners, potty routines, and positive behavior. - Senior dogs who may need gentler walks, medication reminders, mobility support, or a calmer environment. - Dogs with anxiety or shy temperaments, using patience and positive reinforcement to build trust. - Keeping owners updated with photos, walk summaries, and clear communication so they always know how their pet is doing. I treat every dog like they’re my own and aim to provide dependable care that gives both pets and owners peace of mind. I work part-time from home remotely, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your dogs. Available for dog walking after 3pm. I care for pets by keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible, whether they’re staying in my home or I’m caring for them in a client’s home. I take the time to learn each pet’s schedule, personality, exercise needs, feeding routine, and any special instructions so they feel comfortable and secure. In a client’s home, I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, fresh water, and companionship while also respecting the owner’s space and routine. I keep litter boxes or outdoor areas clean, monitor pets for any changes in behavior or health, and provide regular updates with photos and messages. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment with plenty of supervision, affection, and structured routines. I make sure pets have comfortable spaces to rest, opportunities for exercise and enrichment, and slow introductions if other pets are present. My priority is always making pets feel safe, cared for, and loved while giving owners peace of mind that their pets are in reliable hands.
About: Hello my name is Jason, I provide reliable, attentive care tailored to your dog's unique personality and energy levels. I prioritize safety and engagement above all else. I provide consistent updates, ensuring you always have peace of mind while your pet is in my care. I treat every furry friend like family and look forward to making our walks the highlight of their day! What I offer: M-F Mid day around 11am-1pm And afternoon from 4pm-8pm Weekends: Anytime! Please reach out for other hours as I am flexible, and would love to make it work! Since I offer both in-home visits and boarding, my approach focuses on maintaining your pet's comfort and routine regardless of the setting. Here is how I handle care for both: When I visit your home, the goal is to keep your pet’s environment as stable as possible. Routine Maintenance: I follow your specific feeding, medication, and exercise schedules to the letter so your pet feels like you never left. Security & Safety: I ensure your home is secure upon arrival and departure. I also check for any household hazards or messes that need tidying. Quality Companionship: Beyond the essentials, I spend dedicated time playing, brushing, or just sitting with your pet to alleviate any separation anxiety. Boarding (My House) When a pet stays with me, I treat them like a temporary member of my own family. Safe Space: I provide a clean, pet-proofed environment with designated areas for resting, eating, and play. Supervised Socialization: If I have other pets in the house, all interactions are closely supervised and introduced slowly to ensure everyone stays happy and safe. Constant Monitoring: I keep a close eye on behavior, appetite, and energy levels to ensure they are adjusting well to the new surroundings. The Golden Rule: No matter the location, I prioritize fresh water, clear communication (including "pupdates"), and lots of positive reinforcement. My goal is a happy, relaxed pet and total peace of mind for you.
About: I have had a dog for the past 40 years. I treat my dog like family and know what its like to have to leave him for a day or overnight. I will treat your dog as I would my own. With enough planning and notice, your dog will be walked and fed and taken care of until you are there with him/her. I thought this would be a great way to help other families in need of petcare, dog walking, or even a little cat care. Also available to water the plants while I stay and play with your dog for a bit. Rest easy that while you are not available to come home, I will be able to walk, feed and play with your pet member.
About: I've taken care of both dogs and cats and provide care that makes your pet feel at home. I know what it's like to leave your beloved pet while you travel and I strive to make them feel comfortable and cared for so you don't have to worry while you are away. I live in Niskayuna with my 6 year old rescue pooch Winnie. I have years of experience doing board and stays for friends and family. I am currently working full time but work from home and have a very felxible and hybrid work schedule. I can be available for drop ins or short walks during this time ! Drop ins are around 30 minutes and include playtime and feedings, or whatever you and your pet need. I have a friendly 6 year old puppy that gets along with all dogs and humans and children. I can crate your pet if necessary; however, I firmly believe that pets are my family and are welcomed to sit on their side of the couch and welcome themself to snuggle in my bed. I have multiple rooms and floors so if your dog has special accomodation requests I am happy to meet them!
Schenectady dog parents share their Rover experiences
Megan did a quick pop in for us. She played with Steele and fed her lunch. Megan was very responsive with replying and sending texts. She also sent pictures. Megan will be staying at our house with Steele for a few nights so I do believe she is very trustworthy.

Mary took such good care of our gang of quadrupeds. We booked last minute but she was still able to schedule a meet & greet with the crew prior to caring for them. One of our dogs (ok, 2) struggles with new people, but Mary was patient and took her on a little trust walk to get acclimated, which meant a lot to us. She was a dream and we highly recommend her to care for your loved ones too!

Amber was fantastic! She set up a meet and greet with my animals and they immediately loved her. She had excellent communication and asked for expectations. We went over medications and time frames and she was very honest with her availability and schedule. Not only that, I was a dummy and had requested wrong dates in the future when I needed her that weekend. She was THANKFULLY available and we booked! The animals were well taken care of, we got tons of photos of our babies, and updates on our escape artists (cats). Not only that, I’m pretty sure she washed a few dishes in our sink which was such an amazing surprise after driving home from our weekend hockey tournament. It was a great experience and I look forward to hopefully booking her again!

Deb landed on my radar after a glowing recommendation from a dear family friend and she certainly lived up to her extremely positive reputation. We met briefly for a Meet & Greet with our pups (and kitten). Deb asked all of the right questions to ensure she was familiar and knowledgeable with our pets routines, behaviors and quirks. Her visits were all scheduled in advance and arrivals were prompt. The report card that was shared after each visit was informative and detailed, sharing such items as activity, bathroom updates, meals, snacks and pictures. Deb was also very aware of our pets environment - letting us know that the temperature in our house went down low after a surprise snow fall so we were able to work with her to adjust the temps to ensure the comfort of our pets. As great as Deb was in her activity and interactions with our pets, the very best service that she provided was the peace of mind that our pets were in great hands during our mini-vacation. Her professionalism and genuineness allowed our family to have a great time away all while knowing that our beloved pets were in great hands at home being loved and looked after - even having a little fun of their own! Thank you Deb - we look forward to seeing you again in the near future!

We have a senior pup with quite a few special needs and Tatiana has been wonderful at being gentle with him and accommodating of his needs when checking in on him during the day. We feel a lot more comfortable knowing our old boy is getting good care nowadays in the middle of the day.

Scott was wonderful with our 3 dogs. One has stranger danger and he she warmed up to him with no question. Our puppy had some accidents and he made sure his crate was cleaned and dry. He was prompt and communicated very well. Would use him again in a heart beat!
