“Sarah did great with our cats…very reliable and a good cat photographer! She spent a good 30 mins each visit. Kept things tidy, even wound our grandfather clock for us. Would love to book her again.”

“This was my first time using Rover and I was nervous. We have FIVE dogs. Yes FIVE. So it’s a big job for anyone. Lianna was spectacular. She was on time. She sent us pictures. My dogs looked happy and well cared for. I cannot recommend her enough. Anytime we are away we will definitely rebook. She is THE BEST!!!! Definitely FIVE STARS!!!”

“Cathy was fantastic with our kitty! She took as many pictures as she was able (sometimes our cat is recluse) and she communicated very well. I would definitely recommend her!”

About: I’m a beginner on Rover, but I’ve been caring for dogs for about 6 years through friends and family, and it’s something I truly love doing. Over the years, I’ve looked after dogs with all kinds of personalities, high-energy pups, shy dogs, older dogs, and everything in between, so I’m very comfortable adapting to each dog’s unique needs. I also have a 10-year-old dog of my own, which has given me a lot of hands-on experience with daily care, routines, and understanding how dogs communicate. He’s a bit odd and thrives when he’s kept to his routine. He loves people but there are a few dogs in my neighborhood who he has decided he'd rather avoid so I’m familiar with sticking to a routine and dealing with each dog's unique quirks! It is important to me that every pet feels safe and comfortable. While I’ve never owned a cat myself, I’ve taken care of a few and really enjoyed the experience. I’m always happy to learn their routines and make sure they feel just as cared for and relaxed while you’re away. I genuinely love animals and treat every pet like they’re my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind while you’re away by making sure your pets are safe, happy, and well cared for. I currently work full time as a Medical Assistant at a Private Family Practice. I’m applying to Physician Assistant School this spring and am working to get experience while I finish my applications. My hours are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. I don’t have time during my work day to stop in to let pets out or feed them and am best suited to do walks, feedings, and keep company in the early morning or evenings. My weekends are typically open and flexible as I am able to stay at the house all day but prefer to drop by several times throughout the day for whatever care is necessary. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities while staying in your home. I make it a point to follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible, whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or any specific care instructions, so they feel secure and stress-free in their familiar environment. I take the time to learn each pet’s behavior, boundaries, and personality to ensure they feel safe and respected. I’m very attentive and always keep a close eye on pets, whether we’re relaxing at home or out for a walk. I also make sure doors, gates, and any potential hazards are secure at all times. I respect your home just as much as your pet. I keep things clean, organized, and exactly how you left them. Communication is very important to me, so I’m happy to provide regular updates, photos, and check-ins while you’re away so you always know how your pet is doing. You can trust that your pet will be cared for with patience, kindness, and genuine attention, and that your home will be in good hands.
“Arielle was a pleasure to work with. She was very responsive and was able to help us out in a pinch! She took great care of our dogs and came by each day at the time requested. We felt our dogs were in good care with Arielle. I would highly recommend her services! We will definitely be using her again!”

“I’ve booked with Lydia multiple times now, and every experience has been excellent. She is a great communicator, always sends photo updates, and treats my dog so well. My dog is always happy and comfortable when I return. Highly recommend!”

“Cassy, Thank you so much for all your help! We were so glad you were able to come and help with Dexter. It was so amazing we knew that he was taken being care of the whole time.”

About: Hello my name is Jason, I provide reliable, attentive care tailored to your dog's unique personality and energy levels. I prioritize safety and engagement above all else. I provide consistent updates, ensuring you always have peace of mind while your pet is in my care. I treat every furry friend like family and look forward to making our walks the highlight of their day! What I offer: M-F Mid day around 11am-1pm And afternoon from 4pm-8pm Weekends: Anytime! Please reach out for other hours as I am flexible, and would love to make it work! Since I offer both in-home visits and boarding, my approach focuses on maintaining your pet's comfort and routine regardless of the setting. Here is how I handle care for both: When I visit your home, the goal is to keep your pet’s environment as stable as possible. Routine Maintenance: I follow your specific feeding, medication, and exercise schedules to the letter so your pet feels like you never left. Security & Safety: I ensure your home is secure upon arrival and departure. I also check for any household hazards or messes that need tidying. Quality Companionship: Beyond the essentials, I spend dedicated time playing, brushing, or just sitting with your pet to alleviate any separation anxiety. Boarding (My House) When a pet stays with me, I treat them like a temporary member of my own family. Safe Space: I provide a clean, pet-proofed environment with designated areas for resting, eating, and play. Supervised Socialization: If I have other pets in the house, all interactions are closely supervised and introduced slowly to ensure everyone stays happy and safe. Constant Monitoring: I keep a close eye on behavior, appetite, and energy levels to ensure they are adjusting well to the new surroundings. The Golden Rule: No matter the location, I prioritize fresh water, clear communication (including "pupdates"), and lots of positive reinforcement. My goal is a happy, relaxed pet and total peace of mind for you.
“Megan is such a great, caring, knowledgeable and trusted petsitter. She has done drop-in visits for our two cats for the past several years. She is experienced with giving medicine which has become super important to us since our cat was diagnosed with a medical condition and needs medicine twice a day now. I would highly recommended her.”

“Julianna came and did some drop-off visits for my malinois and pug, she was very communicative and punctual. My dogs were well taken care of and I really appreciate the peace of mind while we were out for the day.”

“Everything went so smoothly! I had to book Alexandria at the last minute but she was so quick to respond and easygoing about tbs late booking. Alexandria did a great job of giving Doug his meds and with keeping me informed on how the weekend went. I understand it can be difficult giving him his med since they’re time sensitive and given in a pill plunger but Alexandria was timely and easy about giving them to him. Reading the check in updates every day made me smile every time I got the notification! Great pictures too! Thank you so much for taking such good care of my cat!”

About: What sets me apart is my hands-on experience with dogs of all ages and personalities. I’ve volunteered at a dog shelter, cared for my own dog Missy for 9 years, and worked part-time at Camp Bow Wow (located in Bound Brook, NJ). This background helps me create a safe, structured, and positive environment where your dog can relax, have fun, and feel well cared for. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to fit pet care into my weekly routine. I’m able to schedule visits, walks, and drop-ins around my work hours, so your pet can get consistent attention and care. I plan my days with your pet’s needs in mind, making sure they stay on their usual feeding, play, and walk schedule while you’re away. I care for pets by following their usual routines for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest so they feel secure and comfortable. I pay close attention to their behavior and body language, give them plenty of affection and enrichment, and keep their space clean and safe. I also stick closely to any instructions you provide, from favorite toys and treats to specific schedules, to make sure your pet’s day feels as normal and stress-free as possible.
“Rachelle was amazing - on time, highly communicative, and a wonderful person to spend time with our fur babies while we were away! We will definitely use Rachelle again next time.”

About: I have taken care of numerous dogs throughout the years. I have experiences with various breeds, shapes, age and sizes. I will be sure to give your pet baby love, time and attention and truly deserves. Your pet deserves nothing but the best!🐶🐾❤️ I am a full-time state worker; therefore, this will be my part-time gig (nights, weekends, some holidays). Sleeping can be arranged as long as the dog has arrangements while I work the next morning! I have fed animals and made sure to follow any dietary needs including medication, I have slept over, given plenty of walks and make sure all pets feel they’re in a safe and trusting environment. I also enjoy cuddling!😊
“Elizabeth is awesome to work with. She completely tailors care to what is best for us and our pets. From extra long walks with our shy pooper to last minute bookings she has been incredible.”

About: I’m a graduating law student looking to take pup-filled study breaks while I prepare for the bar exam. I have a big cat named Perry and I love dogs. I’ve had at least one dog my entire life, and most of my family members have as well, so I have a lot of experience with many different breeds. I hope you’ll trust me to take care of your beloved pets while you’re away. Even shy dogs and cats tend to warm up to me quickly, and I love getting them out of their shells. Please note that I am unable to do walks longer than 20-30 minutes. I am available for longer daytime stays but not overnight stays. I am currently a student, so my schedule, while a little sporadic, is fairly open, especially on the weekends. I also enjoy taking walks when I can, so adding dogs to those walks can only make them better! I do not accept clients for boarding. If and when I do drop in visits, I will make sure and follow the owner’s instructions, and primarily make sure the pet feels comforted and doesn’t feel alone.
“Dawn was great and it’s even better that she lives so close to me. We really enjoyed getting pictures while we were away for the evening. I will definitely be using her again.”

About: Ever since I was a child, I’ve always had a pet in my life. Over the years, I’ve cared for countless animals through dog and cat sitting, and I’ve always felt a natural connection with them. One of the experiences I’m most proud of is helping reunite three lost dogs with their families. Animals have always been a part of who I am, and caring for them has never felt like a job—it has always felt like a calling. Starting September 4, I’ll have a flexible schedule and will be available for dog walking, drop-in visits, and dog or cat sitting throughout the day. This isn’t just a side hustle for me—it’s something I’m genuinely passionate about. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve had pets since I was a child, cared for many dogs and cats over the years, and have even helped reunite three lost dogs with their families. I truly enjoy earning an animal’s trust and giving pet owners peace of mind, knowing their furry family members are in loving, dependable hands. If you’re looking for someone who will care for your pets like they’re my own, I’d love the opportunity to help! One of the biggest benefits I offer is caring for your pets in the comfort of their own home. Staying in their familiar environment helps reduce stress, keeps their daily routine consistent, and allows them to feel safe and secure while you’re away. Whether it’s dog walking, drop-in visits, or overnight care, I’ll make sure your pets receive plenty of love, attention, playtime, and personalized care—just as if you were home. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your furry family members are happy, comfortable, and cared for in the place they know best.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
