“Megan took great care of our two cats while we were away! She was super communicative throughout, and sent plenty of cute pictures and updates. Our shy cat warmed up to her right away.”

About: Hello!! My name is Haley ! I am 23 years old and I have owned/ took care of many different dogs and cats all of my life. From poodles to labs, and from russian blues to siamese, I grown to love them all. Early on this love allowed me to learn many skills including grooming, feeding, play time for every age, medication administration, and more! Over a year ago, I took on the special task of adopting my first behaviorally reactive dog named Coco, who is a 4 year old mini australian shepherd who has taught me so much more about caring for an animal with needs. Whether that be more spacial awareness on walks, training commands and structure, or more attention to intentional bonding, my dog skills have massively grown through my relationship with her. Due to her reactive tendencies, I was able to work alongside dog trainers at her training facility Unleash Fido in Jacksonville, FL to learn more about what an animal needs, even if it’s for a simple walk!! Outside of my love for animals, I am a stay at home wife for my navy husband Patric! I was a dance teacher and choreographer for years, as well as a world level powerlifter competing for Team USA in 2024!!! Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about me, and i hope to meet your fur baby soon !! I am a stay at home wife at the moment, so my availability is completely open to care for your pets ! Due to this open schedule, I completely open to same day bookings and quick to accept them :) Due to my open schedule, I would love to accommodate to any rules/ preferences you need for caring for your pet inside your home. As for boarding, my husband and I are currently finishing off our fence to provide plenty of area for safe play outside !! Inside the home we have a fully dog proof home, as we ensure the safety of our own dog Coco. If your pet is reactive to other animals, we are willing to board our own dog with friends in order to make a safe environment for your pup or cat !!! We are able to crate as well if needed, and personally have the schedule to accommodate to any support your pet needs in our home or at yours !!!!
“Rachelle was amazing - on time, highly communicative, and a wonderful person to spend time with our fur babies while we were away! We will definitely use Rachelle again next time.”

“I highly recommend Lydia. Her calm energy is exactly what my dogs need. My lively dogs are happy and tired after her walks and drop-ins. What I appreciate most about my interaction with Lydia is her communication. She is proactive and thoughtful in the way she communicates. She asks for clarification and she anticipates any possible needs that may come up. It was great to see photos and get her updates when she spent time with the dogs. I feel confident she will carry out whatever we discuss. She is also reliable and timely. I would definitely call on her again!”

“She's been so reliable and punctual and keeps in touch about everything! Even extra photos!! Thrilled with Sabrina! And my dogs are tired out at the end of day thanks to their mid day exercise!”

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for all kinds of breeds, from tiny Chihuahuas to giant Newfoundlands, and have experience with puppies as young as 3 weeks old as well as senior dogs up to 14 years old. I’m comfortable with dogs of all temperaments, energy levels, and care needs. Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime, learning basic commands, or prefers a slower pace, I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and care. I have experience with basic training and enjoy helping reinforce good habits and routines in a positive way. Every dog has their own personality, so I like to take the time to get to know what makes them feel coming. My goal is to provide dependable care while giving pet parents peace of mind. At the end of the day, our pets are family, and I’ll treat yours like they’re part of mine. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, having pets myself, and I make it a priority to be dependable and punctual. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I do my best to maintain their normal schedule, whether that means walks, feeding times, play sessions, or drop in visits. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, making pet care something I genuinely look forward to each day. Safety is a top priority for me, especially during walks. I take the time to properly understand each pet’s behavior, triggers, and comfort level before heading out, and I stay attentive to their surroundings at all times to ensure they are secure and well managed. I like to follow key safety precautions like using properly fitted leashes and harnesses, avoiding high-traffic or overstimulating areas when needed, checking gates and doors carefully, and always keeping a secure hold on pets when entering or exiting spaces. I also focus on building trust with each pet by moving at their pace, using calm and consistent body language, and allowing them to become comfortable with me before expecting too much interaction. I pay attention to their signals and respect their boundaries, which helps create a sense of safety and reliability. Over time, this helps pets feel more at ease with me, making walks and in home care smoother and more comfortable for them.
“Alexandria was great! Appreciated her flexibility adding a drop in on short notice and grateful for her attention to detail in caring for our cats- we came home to happy and clean kitties!”

“Elizabeth was wonderful - she was very prompt with all the time frames and took great care of our feline overlord! Lots of pictures, and we could tell that our cat enjoyed her company, would absolutely recommend her services!”

“We were so worried about leaving our new rescue alone for more than 5 hours and then we went to rover and I found Madeline 10/10 she is so caring and loving to the dogs it clearly comes natural to her she followed everything down to the last detail perfectly. Our dog used to bark for hours when we left … after she is with her my dog seems so content and happy. 1000% recommend!!!”

About: I work part time and am pretty flexible with my schedule. My fiancée and I currently have 4 cats but I grew up with dogs. I love dog sitting for friends and family. My previous dog was diabetic so I have given insulin and have with experience with senior dogs. I currently work part time so I have a lot of time to play with your animals! Our cats love to cuddle and to go for walks in their stroller. I use automatic feeders for dry food and give them wet food once a day. I’ve pet sat where animals are free fed or prefer to be fed at a specific time.
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the level of individualized care and attention I give every dog. I don’t just “watch” pets — I truly get to know their personalities, routines, and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I have experience training puppies, including basic commands, leash manners, crate training, and reinforcing positive behaviors. I’m also confident caring for senior dogs who may need a slower pace, extra patience, or mobility support. Whether your pup is high-energy and playful or calm and cuddly, I adapt to their unique temperament. I prioritize clear communication, regular photo updates, and creating a stress-free experience for both pets and owners. Your dog’s safety, happiness, and well-being always come first. Pet care is a natural part of my daily and weekly routine — I intentionally structure my schedule to make sure I have dedicated, unhurried time for each dog. Whether it’s morning walks, midday check-ins, playtime, feeding schedules, or evening cuddles, I plan my days around the pets in my care so they receive consistent attention and companionship. I build flexibility into my week to accommodate different energy levels and needs, from active pups who love longer walks to seniors who prefer shorter, gentler outings. Because I prioritize reliability and routine, your dog can count on consistent care, and you can count on dependable communication and updates. Caring for pets isn’t something I squeeze in — it’s something I genuinely make space for. In My Home: When pets stay with me, I create a calm, safe, and welcoming environment that feels as close to their normal routine as possible. I follow your feeding schedules, potty routines, exercise needs, and any specific instructions you provide. Dogs receive plenty of supervised playtime, walks, mental stimulation, and affection. I’m mindful of introductions (if other pets are present), keep the space clean and secure, and make sure every dog has a comfortable area to rest and relax. In Your Home: When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their usual routine to reduce stress. I stick closely to feeding times, walks, and preferred activities. I also respect your home by keeping things tidy, bringing in mail if requested, and ensuring everything is secure before I leave. My goal is to make your absence feel as smooth and normal as possible for your pet. For both services, I prioritize safety, communication, and regular photo updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I treat every animal as if they were my own — with patience, attentiveness, and lots of love.

About: Hi, I’m hoping to become your pet’s new bestie. I’m a lifelong animal lover who genuinely gets excited about wagging tails, purring greetings, dramatic cat stares, zoomies, and all the little quirks that make every pet unique. Whether you need house sitting, dog walking, cat care, or a flexible helping hand, I’m happy to adapt to your pet’s routine. Early morning walks? No problem. Midday potty breaks? Absolutely. Evening snuggles and overnight stays? Happy to report for duty. I believe pets are happiest when they feel safe, loved, and understood, so I do my best to keep their routine consistent while giving them plenty of attention, affection, playtime, and care. I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own — with patience, kindness, respect, and probably a few extra compliments about how adorable they are. I’m comfortable with dogs, cats, and pets with big personalities, shy personalities, senior personalities, and “I run this house” personalities. My goal is simple: give you peace of mind while making sure your pets feel happy, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. If your pet enjoys walks, cuddles, playtime, treats, or simply having a calm and caring human nearby, we’ll probably get along great. I can’t wait to meet your furry family members! I offer a flexible schedule and understand that every pet has different needs. Whether you need early morning walks, evening drop-ins, overnight house sitting, or care while you’re traveling, I’m happy to work with your routine. My goal is to keep your pet’s day as normal and stress-free as possible while you’re away. When caring for pets in your home, I treat both your home and your pets with the same respect and care I would my own. I’ll follow your instructions closely—from feeding schedules and medications to favorite walking routes, playtime, and bedtime routines. I know every pet is unique, and I’m happy to adapt to whatever helps them feel safest, happiest, and most comfortable while you’re away. Communication is important to me, so you can expect regular updates and photos for extra peace of mind.
About: I’m a graduating law student looking to take pup-filled study breaks while I prepare for the bar exam. I have a big cat named Perry and I love dogs. I’ve had at least one dog my entire life, and most of my family members have as well, so I have a lot of experience with many different breeds. I hope you’ll trust me to take care of your beloved pets while you’re away. Even shy dogs and cats tend to warm up to me quickly, and I love getting them out of their shells. Please note that I am unable to do walks longer than 20-30 minutes. I am available for longer daytime stays but not overnight stays. I am currently a student, so my schedule, while a little sporadic, is fairly open, especially on the weekends. I also enjoy taking walks when I can, so adding dogs to those walks can only make them better! I do not accept clients for boarding. If and when I do drop in visits, I will make sure and follow the owner’s instructions, and primarily make sure the pet feels comforted and doesn’t feel alone.
“Amby is absolutely amazing! She exceeded every expectation we had and cared for our feline fur kiddos with genuine love and professionalism. Our fur kiddos have extensive needs—medications, special feeding routines, and a fair bit of sanitation work—and Amby handled it all with ease and care. She kept us updated with photos during every visit, which brought so much peace of mind while we were away. Our fur kiddos were well-loved and looked after. We are so grateful to have found her and would recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable, compassionate, and thorough pet sitter!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Burnt Hills
Drusila did a WONDERFUL job with our little scamp, Spencer! I can't say enough good things about her. He's very bonded with my husband and we were afraid that he'd be depressed when we were gone, but he loves Drusila, ate all his meals, played frisbee and even climbed in her lap and enjoyed belly rubs! He's normally quite shy and even tends to duck away from petting, so we were quite pleasantly surprised. Aunt Drusila is a keeper! <g>

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
