“I truly cannot say enough good things about Gillian! My dog, Benson, has serious separation anxiety along with specific dietary and medical needs, and it has been such a relief to finally find someone I completely trust to care for him. I never thought I’d see the day where he’d happily run into a sitter’s home—until we found her! From day one, Gillian has gone above and beyond to make sure he’s comfortable, safe, and genuinely happy. She understands all of Benson’s quirks and needs, and treats him with the same patience and love that I do. It’s so clear how much she cares about every dog she looks after and truly treats them as her own. She’s also great about sending daily updates with photos and thoughtful notes, which give me so much peace of mind while I’m away. I always know he’s in the very best hands with her!”

“Nat was wonderful, she accommodated a last-minute travel and extended the stay. Daily videos and photos gave me peace of mind that my fur baby was in safe and good hands. Will definitely be utilizing Nat in the near future. Thank you for taking such good care of my baby!”

“Brad & Mery provided excellent communication via text and took wonderful care of our husky mix (who is a rescue and a stubborn pup) when we had to go out of town for the weekend. Highly recommend. Thank you!”

“Anna was fantastic! She sent me pictures and videos every day of my dog and kept me updated on his eating and playing. I could tell she genuinely enjoyed playing with my dog. I will definitely use her again.”

“We don’t let anyone else watch our French bulldog. David takes her for plenty of walks, gives her lots of attention, and makes sure she gets her medication. She’s very happy with David, as are we!”

“Tiffany took care of our newly adopted rescue dog for two days and it was the first time me have left him with anyone new. Tiffany was loving and caring with Kevin. She sent daily updates with pictures of all the day’s activities. We were out of state and had to extend our agreeded apon stay by several hours and Tiffany accommodated the request happily. We would use Tiffany again and will recommend her to anyone who is looking to board a dog. Thank you so much Tiffany. Job well done”

“We are so happy we chose Camilla to look after our 4 month old puppy Korra. It was obvious how much she understood the dogs she was caring for. She was so good with Korra and I felt like she got as much if not more love and attention than we give her. I love that she took her out on outings to the dog park to exercise and play.”

“Waldo had a great time staying with Jack. I felt confident leaving him. Jack was always responsive and sent regular updates to us. We plan to take another trip soon and Waldo will be in great hands.”

“Mike is a great sitter. I feel at ease knowing my dog is well cared for while I’m away. Mike is very responsive! We look forward to our next booking in the near future!”
“Samantha and her partner were absolutely amazing. They are the best sitters I have met by far. I 10000/10 recommend. Samantha updated me throughout my dog's stay. I will definitely rebook.”

“Kathleen took excellent care of my chihuahua, Cody. Over the course of a month, I boarded him with her a few times each week, and I always felt confident he was in great hands. She was responsive, kind, and incredibly patient, not just with my (very energetic!) chihuahua 🙃, but with me as well. I’m so grateful for the care she provided and would highly recommend Kathleen to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter.”

“We are repeat clients of Marianne and could not be happier. When we leave our dog in her care he is happy and very well taken care of. He gets lots of snuggles and treated as part of the family. I’d recommend Marianne to anyone!”

“Amazing! Jill was able to care for Louie for a week and she was very responsive and communicative with me throughout the week. She took great care of Louie. I would definitely recommend her !”

“Tatiana did a great job with our dog for a weekend stay at her place! He came home happy and tired ? She was very communicative and sent lots of pics while we were gone.”

“Ginger was wonderful. She took our 5 month old puppy for 3 nights. She provided plenty of updates and pictures. We felt very comfortable leaving our puppy with her. I’m thankful we found her through this app.”

“My 8 year old, Curly Coated Retriever, had never been boarded before. Kyle made me so comfortable at our initial meet & greet that it reduced my trepidation of being away from my girl for the first time & I knew she was in good hands. Kyle’s daily pictures & comments made being away from my girl so much easier. It was very clear seeing how much Kyle loved dogs and she was such a good caregiver to my girl. I would strongly recommend Kyle’s service to anybody who wants to ensure their dog is in the hands of someone who truly cares about her furry friends.”

“Lianna was amazing. This was my first time using Rover and Lianna helped relieve any anxiety I had. Great communication, pictures sent multiple times a day, and answered any questions I had in a timely fashion. I 100% recommend her for your next fur baby stay.”
“Kimberly was so kind to take Toby my 19-lb Havenese dog very last minute! I have a bad wrist fracture and was not able to take care of him properly. She took such great care of him with only hours’ notice. I will definitely use her services again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Scotia
Marianne provided the perfect home away from home for my pup, who was very well cared over the couple of days she spent under her roof. I received lots of pics and videos and pupdates, and I know my dog would go back in a heartbeat! Can’t recommend Marianne highly enough.

I dropped Stella off with a large cut on her lip (lord only knows what she got into) and she when I picked her up not only was that looking so much better but she was enriched (not a maniac by the time we got home) and Amber was able to administer pain killers to her. Best rover I've had in a while.

Amber took such good care of Sunny while we had to travel. She provided us updates almost instantly after we dropped him off and all through the long weekend. Other than sending pictures, she provided feedback on how he was getting along while staying at her home. The constant communication truly made us happy to know what kind of fun our boy was getting into. We highly recommend Amber!!

We had a great experience with Sarah and Anthony! Communication was clear and consistent throughout, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We especially appreciated the regular picture updates—seeing our dog happy and well cared for made all the difference. When we picked her up, she was relaxed and clearly had a great time. We would absolutely recommend Sarah and Anthony to anyone looking for reliable and caring pet care!

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
