“Gillian made us feel so comfortable after the meet and great! She treated our puppy like one of her own and we really enjoyed the picture updates showing us that Loki was having a blast!”

“Our 2-year-old Doberman JoJo stayed with Brad and Mery for ten days while we made a trip abroad. What a lovely home and what caring and conscientious people! We received lots of photos and short messages during the trip. There is no drama in this calm 5-star home. JoJo adapted quickly and became simply one of their family members. There is a fenced backyard where JoJo was able to play without a leash. Highly recommended.”

“Onyx spent a week with Mike. He sent us pictures and communicated regularly. Mike is very easygoing and made Onyx feel right at home. It is comforting to know that you can go away and know that your dog is happy and well cared for. Thank you Mike!”

“Tiffany was wonderful! She fit us in last minute with no problem! She sent a ton of pictures and videos letting us know how our Ruby was doing! She was great! Absolutely recommend and will use her again!”

“We are so fortunate to have met Kyle. It is clear how much she loves dogs and goes to great lengths to be sure that they are comfortable. She sends lots of updates, pictures and videos, so the parents are put at ease as well. Our anxious pup was immediately at home, and came back happy and tired from all of the play. Thank you to our new friend Kyle for spoiling our fur baby!”
“I am so happy that I chose Jack for boarding my dog. I know my dog was well cared for and had fun with the other dogs in Jack's care. We had Jack do pick up and drop off. Jack was on time for both and it took the stress out of us having to do that part. It was totally worth the additional fee! I will use Jack again the next time I need to board my dog and am interested in using g his daycare options as well.”

“We don’t let anyone else watch our French bulldog. David takes her for plenty of walks, gives her lots of attention, and makes sure she gets her medication. She’s very happy with David, as are we!”

“Kathleen took excellent care of my chihuahua, Cody. Over the course of a month, I boarded him with her a few times each week, and I always felt confident he was in great hands. She was responsive, kind, and incredibly patient, not just with my (very energetic!) chihuahua 🙃, but with me as well. I’m so grateful for the care she provided and would highly recommend Kathleen to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter.”

“Lori was wonderful and so welcoming! Beau had a great stay with Lori and her pup, Rees :-). We received updates/photos while we were away and you could tell she treated Beau as one of her own. She even gave him a bath when he got muddy outside! Thanks again, Lori and Rees, for welcoming Beau!”

“It is always so comforting to know that Bailey is in good hands when we go visit our family. She keeps us informed and sends pictures. This is the fourth time we have used Brigid and Bailey seems to feel just as comfortable there as he does at home. Thank you Bridgit!”

“Nat and her husband were so great! They agreed to watch Auri kind of last-minute when my other plans fell through. They sent me cute photos and videos and perfectly detailed updates. Auri looked like she had a really great time. I would definitely send my pup to them again!”

“Samantha and her partner were absolutely amazing. They are the best sitters I have met by far. I 10000/10 recommend. Samantha updated me throughout my dog's stay. I will definitely rebook.”

“We left our 3 year old (somewhat anxious) dog for the first time with Anna. We got lots of happy photos of him, which put our mind at ease. And she was very quick to reply to any of our messages. We would 100% recommend and we will definitely book with her again.”

“This was Dexter's first night away from home in 9 years. Tatiana was amazing. I got updates and pictures throughout his stay and it calmed my nerves. I will be a repeat customer. Thank you!!”
“Chelsea and Christopher are incredible people- they made Dolly feel at home and gave her excellent care. You can tell they both are experienced and passionate about animals and are able to manage multiple dogs flawlessly”

“Ginger was amazing with Otis. It was our first time leaving him but she assured us with daily updates, pictures and videos. He had a wonderful time playing with Ranger and really settled in nicely. Definitely recommend Ginger and will book with her again in the future.”

“We are so happy we chose Camilla to look after our 4 month old puppy Korra. It was obvious how much she understood the dogs she was caring for. She was so good with Korra and I felt like she got as much if not more love and attention than we give her. I love that she took her out on outings to the dog park to exercise and play.”

“Cansu watched our puppy Winston for a week while we were out of town and made him feel right at home! It was our first time leaving him and she made me feel very comfortable sending us videos and pictures daily! He got along well with their dogs and loves running around in their huge fenced in yard! Thank you again Cansu!”

“Lianna was amazing. This was my first time using Rover and Lianna helped relieve any anxiety I had. Great communication, pictures sent multiple times a day, and answered any questions I had in a timely fashion. I 100% recommend her for your next fur baby stay.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Scotia
Marianne provided the perfect home away from home for my pup, who was very well cared over the couple of days she spent under her roof. I received lots of pics and videos and pupdates, and I know my dog would go back in a heartbeat! Can’t recommend Marianne highly enough.

I dropped Stella off with a large cut on her lip (lord only knows what she got into) and she when I picked her up not only was that looking so much better but she was enriched (not a maniac by the time we got home) and Amber was able to administer pain killers to her. Best rover I've had in a while.

Amber took such good care of Sunny while we had to travel. She provided us updates almost instantly after we dropped him off and all through the long weekend. Other than sending pictures, she provided feedback on how he was getting along while staying at her home. The constant communication truly made us happy to know what kind of fun our boy was getting into. We highly recommend Amber!!

We had a great experience with Sarah and Anthony! Communication was clear and consistent throughout, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We especially appreciated the regular picture updates—seeing our dog happy and well cared for made all the difference. When we picked her up, she was relaxed and clearly had a great time. We would absolutely recommend Sarah and Anthony to anyone looking for reliable and caring pet care!

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
