“My pup just had the absolute best time at Gillian’s! She has so much energy I didn’t think it was possible for her to ever be tired but she slept for about 3 days straight after her stay!”

“If you want your pet to be given the love and care they deserve while you are away, bring them to Brad and Mery. I could not be happier with how Otis was taken care of and I will absolutely be returning.”

“Kathleen took excellent care of my chihuahua, Cody. Over the course of a month, I boarded him with her a few times each week, and I always felt confident he was in great hands. She was responsive, kind, and incredibly patient, not just with my (very energetic!) chihuahua 🙃, but with me as well. I’m so grateful for the care she provided and would highly recommend Kathleen to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter.”

“We don’t let anyone else watch our French bulldog. David takes her for plenty of walks, gives her lots of attention, and makes sure she gets her medication. She’s very happy with David, as are we!”

“Our boys had a great time at Tiffany's. She sent lots of pictures and they had fun playing in the yard with her pups! She even gave them a nail trim, which is always tough for us to do ourselves. Thanks!”

“Natthinee is an awesome sitter! She communicates daily w an update and photos. My doodle got along w hers. Many walks. Snuggles on the couch😊 I will definitely have her watch Rudy again even though she’s a 30 minute drive away👍👍”

“Great first Rover experience. Anna was super communicative, very friendly, and my two Golden Retrievers were happy as can be at drop off and pick up! She sent daily updates and answered every question I had immediately. She even sent them home with goodie bags and report cards :) Thanks, Anna!”

“I am so happy that I chose Jack for boarding my dog. I know my dog was well cared for and had fun with the other dogs in Jack's care. We had Jack do pick up and drop off. Jack was on time for both and it took the stress out of us having to do that part. It was totally worth the additional fee! I will use Jack again the next time I need to board my dog and am interested in using g his daycare options as well.”

“This is the 2nd time Mike has watched our 2 dogs, and this time it was for 2 weeks!! The dogs were happy and well cared for and we were able to enjoy our time overseas with no worries. Thank you Mike!! Apollo and Luna miss their friend Bear already!”

“I can’t say enough about Jaya & her family taking care of my dog Barley like he was one of theirs. She was quick w/ responding, and her communication was thorough. Barley loved his “sleep over” playing w/ Jaya’s cute pup Biscuit in her big back yard. She made me feel like Barley was safe & would be cared for just like her own. We’ll surely be hoping she is available again for our next pet sitting need. Thank you Jaya !”

“Absolutely amazing. Camilla is great at what she loves to do. Kiki felt immediately comfortable with her and her other animals. I did not worry one bit while I was out of town. And she sent us home with the cutest dog goodie bag. You are my go to sitter for now and the future. Thank you for making Kiki feel like family. ❤️”

“Samantha and her partner Zachary took fabulous care of our two dogs for three days. They are both high energy young dogs, one 7 months and one 13 months old and we were worried that they were going to be a problem. They love each other, romping like crazy with each other indoors and out and Samantha and Zach had no problem dealing with them. When we went to pick them up, it was obvious that both dogs really liked their caregivers. What more can one hope for in someone taking care of their dogs? We will be using them again when we are back in the Albany area. Thank you, Samantha and Zachary! Clifford and Ann Wagner”

“Jude was wonderful! Very caring and loving! Great backyard for our chocolate to run in! She sent updates and pics and videos daily which was great! I would give her 10 stars!”

“We are repeat clients of Marianne and could not be happier. When we leave our dog in her care he is happy and very well taken care of. He gets lots of snuggles and treated as part of the family. I’d recommend Marianne to anyone!”

“Lianna was amazing. This was my first time using Rover and Lianna helped relieve any anxiety I had. Great communication, pictures sent multiple times a day, and answered any questions I had in a timely fashion. I 100% recommend her for your next fur baby stay.”
“I can not recommend Alexis enough! She is amazing. She gave us updates, loved on our dog like he was her own, and took amazing care of him. We have never left our dog with anyone other than family, and this was hands down the best experience!!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Jennifer and couldn’t have felt better about leaving Moose and Maggie in her care. From our initial meet-and-greet through the entire stay, Jennifer was warm, attentive, communicative, and genuinely invested in making sure both dogs were happy and well cared for. Moose is a senior Great Pyrenees with some mobility limitations and additional care needs, and Jennifer went above and beyond for him. She was patient and compassionate, adapted walks and activities to what he was comfortably able to do, helped him when he needed assistance, stayed on top of his medications, and made sure he was comfortable and included. At the same time, she made sure Maggie received just as much individual attention and plenty of activity suited to her energy level. Jennifer sent frequent updates and so many wonderful photos throughout their stay, which we really appreciated. Her mom was also wonderful with the dogs, and it was clear that Moose and Maggie received so much attention and affection while they were there. Jennifer was also incredibly flexible and accommodating throughout the stay, which made everything much easier for us. We’re extremely grateful for the care they received and would absolutely trust Jennifer with them again. I know Moose and Maggie will be very happy when they realize they’re headed back for another stay!”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We always try to make sure one of us is home with our dog, Levi, so leaving him with someone else was a little nerve-racking for us. However, we had a wedding to attend and needed someone we could trust — and Anna was absolutely the best! She made the entire process so easy and gave us such peace of mind. She cared for Levi like he was her own and kept us updated throughout the entire time with pictures and videos, which we absolutely loved! Being able to see that Levi was happy, comfortable, and having a great time made it so much easier for us to relax and enjoy the wedding. It was clear how much Anna genuinely cared about Levi, and we felt completely comfortable knowing he was in such good hands. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will absolutely be using Anna again. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and dependable to take care of their fur baby! 🐾❤️

Mery and Brad were so warm and loving to our little Rosie! She was very happy in their home and played endlessly with the other dogs in their care. They sent pictures of her cuddling with them and having fun with the other dogs which was so reassuring. We will definitely be using their services again!

Marianne provided the perfect home away from home for my pup, who was very well cared over the couple of days she spent under her roof. I received lots of pics and videos and pupdates, and I know my dog would go back in a heartbeat! Can’t recommend Marianne highly enough.

I dropped Stella off with a large cut on her lip (lord only knows what she got into) and she when I picked her up not only was that looking so much better but she was enriched (not a maniac by the time we got home) and Amber was able to administer pain killers to her. Best rover I've had in a while.

Amber took such good care of Sunny while we had to travel. She provided us updates almost instantly after we dropped him off and all through the long weekend. Other than sending pictures, she provided feedback on how he was getting along while staying at her home. The constant communication truly made us happy to know what kind of fun our boy was getting into. We highly recommend Amber!!

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
