“This was our first time using Rover and we count ourselves lucky to have had Nadia to take care of our two Siamese cats in our home. She was terrific in communicating how things were going each day and kept us updated (and stress-free!) with photos from her visits. She even cleaned up the occasional kitty barf and litter mess around the pan! Aside from doing all of these wonderful things to keep our pets feeling cared for in their own home, she is a lovely person to work with. We hope she'll want to work with us again!”
“Gillian was awesome and took great care of our dog! I reached out to her last minute and she made herself available same-day to meet our dog. She showed up at each scheduled time and provided pictures of my pets. I hope Gillian is available to check on my dog every time we go out of town going forward!”

“Bri was responsive, so friendly and accommodating! She made me feel at such ease to leave my pups with her and not have to worry if they would be okay. She was timely in communication and I appreciated her willingness to ask questions/ask what she needed to know.”

“We have used Rachel twice now and she has been wonderful both times! She took great care of our kitties and kept us updated the entire time and sent photos. I appreciated the open communication. Thanks, Rachel!”

“Felicity has taken care of my cats several times and i just love her. She goes above and beyond and I really appreciate her so much. My kitties also love her which is the most important thing to me.”

“Best sitter we've had from Rover so far. (We have talked to several sitters, we liked and were highly qualified). Scott was above and beyond. He had Gremlin be a lap kitty (which he isn't usually, unless he'sstressed) and gave him extra love. It was Gremlin's first time w/o his people since he lost his housemate Dany. Will definitely be our first go to from now on.”

“Best cat sitter in Albany!!! Whitney is so attentive and caring. I’m always anxious being away from my fur baby but Whitney eased my anxieties and took such good care of my boy!! Highly recommend!!”

“Mary was absolutely amazing with our puppy for lunch drop-ins! She’s great with instruction, respectful, and fantastic with communication. We will absolutely be using Mary again in the future.”

“I am so happy with my experience using Amy to watch my lab when I was away for a week! She is excellent with communication. I could tell from the photos updates that Stanley was having a great time. I definitely plan on using Amy again in the future!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I could not be happier with the experience! My cats were very well cared for by Megan while we were gone for the week. They are usually skittish for a little while when we come home from being away, but this time they came right out as if we were only gone for a few hours! I will definitely utilize her services again when needed.”

“Elizabeth was wonderful - she was very prompt with all the time frames and took great care of our feline overlord! Lots of pictures, and we could tell that our cat enjoyed her company, would absolutely recommend her services!”

About: What sets me apart is my hands-on experience with dogs of all ages and personalities. I’ve volunteered at a dog shelter, cared for my own dog Missy for 9 years, and worked part-time at Camp Bow Wow (located in Bound Brook, NJ). This background helps me create a safe, structured, and positive environment where your dog can relax, have fun, and feel well cared for. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to fit pet care into my weekly routine. I’m able to schedule visits, walks, and drop-ins around my work hours, so your pet can get consistent attention and care. I plan my days with your pet’s needs in mind, making sure they stay on their usual feeding, play, and walk schedule while you’re away. I care for pets by following their usual routines for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest so they feel secure and comfortable. I pay close attention to their behavior and body language, give them plenty of affection and enrichment, and keep their space clean and safe. I also stick closely to any instructions you provide, from favorite toys and treats to specific schedules, to make sure your pet’s day feels as normal and stress-free as possible.
“Karina has been great with my pets. My dog Finn loves her and is always so happy to see her. She is reliable and follows instructions well. It is clear she is truly a pet lover. I know my babies are in good hands with her ❤️”

“Adrianna did a couple drop in visits while we were out of town on vacation to hang out with our cat. Adrianna was amazing with our Zoey, giving Zoey the attention she deserves while we were gone, and was prompt and friendly to communicate with. We plan to hire her again for other times we need someone to stay with our cat or dog!”

“I highly recommend Lydia. Her calm energy is exactly what my dogs need. My lively dogs are happy and tired after her walks and drop-ins. What I appreciate most about my interaction with Lydia is her communication. She is proactive and thoughtful in the way she communicates. She asks for clarification and she anticipates any possible needs that may come up. It was great to see photos and get her updates when she spent time with the dogs. I feel confident she will carry out whatever we discuss. She is also reliable and timely. I would definitely call on her again!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I was nervous. We have FIVE dogs. Yes FIVE. So it’s a big job for anyone. Lianna was spectacular. She was on time. She sent us pictures. My dogs looked happy and well cared for. I cannot recommend her enough. Anytime we are away we will definitely rebook. She is THE BEST!!!! Definitely FIVE STARS!!!”

“Danica was great with my beloved pup! She was very willing to also take care of our ducks as she is a chicken mom herself. Danica was very punctual, communicative, and caring. I’ll definitely use her again and would recommend her to anyone!”

“Katie was amazing! She is incredibly kind and the fur babies loved her. She gave detailed recaps of her visits and went above and beyond while we were away. 🐾”

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Nadia! She watched my dog, Sammy, and my cat, Gizmo, while I was away, and I felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands. I started referring to Nadia as “the dog whisperer” because I’ve been told in the past that Sammy is usually sad and misses us when we’re away. But every single picture Nadia sent showed Sammy smiling, relaxed, and as happy as could be! It was such a relief to see her genuinely enjoying herself!. Nadia was attentive, caring, and wonderful with both Sammy and Gizmo. The regular pictures and updates gave me so much peace of mind and allowed me to truly enjoy my time away without worrying about them. I would absolutely trust Nadia with my pets again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will care for their animals like they’re her own. Sammy and Gizmo definitely give her five stars too! ❤️🐾 Thank you Nadia!

Alexis did such a great job checking in on my cat. :) She told me my cat war very loving to her which is very rare for her to open up to strangers. Was very open to communication, asked if there was certain things my cat liked to do like getting brushed (which she melts when getting brushed lol) She did a great job and will have to for sure have her do it more and do a stay over with Sapphire sometime too when i need to leave for a few days. Thank you Alexis :)

Mary took such good care of our gang of quadrupeds. We booked last minute but she was still able to schedule a meet & greet with the crew prior to caring for them. One of our dogs (ok, 2) struggles with new people, but Mary was patient and took her on a little trust walk to get acclimated, which meant a lot to us. She was a dream and we highly recommend her to care for your loved ones too!

Alyssa did an amazing job taking care of Huxley! She arrived on time, followed all directions perfectly, and was reliable and communicative throughout. It’s clear she genuinely cares about animals. She also kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us real peace of mind. We would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and caring dog sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
