“Adrianna did a couple drop in visits while we were out of town on vacation to hang out with our cat. Adrianna was amazing with our Zoey, giving Zoey the attention she deserves while we were gone, and was prompt and friendly to communicate with. We plan to hire her again for other times we need someone to stay with our cat or dog!”

“Amber was fantastic! She set up a meet and greet with my animals and they immediately loved her. She had excellent communication and asked for expectations. We went over medications and time frames and she was very honest with her availability and schedule. Not only that, I was a dummy and had requested wrong dates in the future when I needed her that weekend. She was THANKFULLY available and we booked! The animals were well taken care of, we got tons of photos of our babies, and updates on our escape artists (cats). Not only that, I’m pretty sure she washed a few dishes in our sink which was such an amazing surprise after driving home from our weekend hockey tournament. It was a great experience and I look forward to hopefully booking her again!”

About: I’m someone who genuinely loves caring for dogs and believes every pup deserves to feel safe, loved, and comfortable, even when their owners are away! What sets me apart is that I take the time to get to know each dog individually. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I enjoy learning what makes each one unique. Whether your pup is energetic and playful, a little shy, or happiest cuddled up beside someone, I’m happy to meet them where they are and give them the care and attention they deserve. I have experience working with puppies, including basic commands, leash manners, crate training, and positive reinforcement. I’m also comfortable caring for senior dogs who may need extra patience, a slower pace, or mobility assistance. Additionally, I’m comfortable administering medication and following specific care instructions to help keep your dog healthy and on their regular routine. At the end of the day, I want you to have peace of mind knowing your dog is in caring, attentive, and trustworthy hands. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member. Pet care is a natural part of my daily and weekly routine I intentionally structure my schedule to make sure I have dedicated, unhurried time for each dog. Whether it’s morning walks, midday check ins, playtime, feeding schedules, or evening cuddles, I plan my days around the pets in my care, so they receive consistent attention and companionship. I build flexibility into my week to accommodate different energy levels and needs, from active pups who love longer walks to seniors who prefer shorter, gentler outings. Because I prioritize reliability and routine, your dog can count on consistent care, and you can count on dependable communication and updates. Caring for pets isn’t something I squeeze in it’s something I genuinely make space for. In My Home: When pets stay with me, I create a calm, safe, and welcoming environment that feels as close to their normal routine as possible. I follow your feeding schedules, potty routines, exercise needs, and any specific instructions you provide. Dogs receive plenty of supervised playtime, walks, mental stimulation, and affection. I’m mindful of introductions (if other pets are present), keep the space clean and secure, and make sure every dog has a comfortable area to rest and relax. In Your Home: When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their usual routine to reduce stress. I stick closely to feeding times, walks, and preferred activities. I also respect your home by keeping things tidy, bringing in mail if requested, and ensuring everything is secure before I leave. My goal is to make your absence feel as smooth and normal as possible for your pet. For both services, I prioritize safety, communication, and regular photo updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I treat every animal as if they were my own with patience, attentiveness, and lots of love.

“The absolute best pet sitter ever! Our cats' happiness is proof of the wonderful care and attention Camilla provides. From the moment we met her, she was kind, professional, and genuinely caring. Knowing our cats were in such good hands gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. It's not easy to earn the trust of our cats, but they were comfortable and happy with Camilla, which says everything about the way she cares for animals. We are incredibly grateful for her help and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and trustworthy pet sitter.”

About: I have taken care of many different animals my whole life, from dogs to fish to reptiles to birds! I even have a bachelors degree in wildlife biology. I am currently not working, so I am free throughout the entire day and every day of the week. I love spending time with animals as much as I can. I have a large, fenced in backyard. I also have the space to crate an animal if needed (if provided the crate as well). There is plenty of space for your animal to roam.

About: I've been walking dogs since I was 12 years old, of various sizes, behaviors, and energy levels. I also attended an Agricultural High School and learned 1 year of dog training and 2 years of dog grooming in high school. The past job I worked at was a dog daycare for a seasonal job. Then had side jobs where I walked other people's dogs and babysat cats I currently have 1 dog, 2 cats, and 2 reptiles that I care for. One of my cats is an adult, and the other is a kitten. I am a recent college graduate, and my only routine is waking up at 6 am to take my roommate to school at 7 am. Then picking my roommate up from school at 3:15pm. Otherwise, just looking for jobs. I have a fenced-in yard, and the pet would be supervised and never left alone. If they need to be left alone, there is a small room and a crate to protect them from getting into anything when unsupervised. I am the type of person who worries about the animal's health and will always let the owner know if I notice anything abnormal with the pet.

About: Hello all! My name is Carly. I am from Connecticut originally and have been living in the Capital district for about two years now. When I was back in home state, I had been sitting for about 8 years on and off and grew up taking care of all types. I used to have my own business called CA Pet Services doing pet sitting during my free time. I have taken care of all types of animals, large and small. I love meeting new furry friends and enjoy spending time getting to know them and giving them all the affection they deserve. Each animal that is under my care will get endless amounts of love and enjoyment. I want each dog or cat to feel safe, relaxed, and to feel that homey sensation when I take care of them. I also have my own 10-year-old male Australian Shepard, who is my fur child and enjoys meeting new friends that he can play with and take on adventures with. I'm currently looking to extend my pet care services for dog walking/drop ins on Mondays and Tuesdays. Some fun facts about me: • I am currently enrolled in an online vet tech program to become a licensed veterinary technician. • During my free time I like to ride horses, hike, and spend time with dog. I currently am working my full time job 4 days a week, my availability on my days off which are Mondays and Tuesdays is very flexible for dog walking and drop ins. I do not care for pets in my own home because I do have my own dog that is selective with others as he is in his senior age. If or when I do go to a clients, I respect all of the clients wishes and requests for their pet. The animal will be taken care of with thee upmost best care, as it is very hard to find reliable caretakers for our fur children.

About: I'm a reliable and compassionate dog sitter with hands-on experience caring for dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments. As a current veterinary technician student, I bring a strong understanding of animal behavior, basic medical care, and emergency response. Whether your pup needs playtime, walks, medication, or just some extra love while you're away, I provide attentive and safe care tailored to their needs. I work Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with just a 7-minute commute. This allows me ample time for evening pet care during the weekdays. I’m also fully available on weekends. I always follow the owner's instructions, as they know their pets best, and I respect any specific rules in place. I also use my best judgment to ensure your fur babies stay safe, comfortable, and happy at all times.

Fantastic as always. Patricia is a great care taker and even takes weather factors into account for the best interest of my little guy. Still took him for a short walk but watched him to make sure he wasn't out too long in the super cold temps. I always feel very comfortable with Bob in her care and confident in her abilities to do what's right for him :)

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Wyatts

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
