About: I have hosted dogs for over 15 years and have experience with many breeds. My dog Harvey was a member of Therapy Dog International. I believe that the key to well-behaved dogs is plenty of exercise so aside from wrestling and chasing, we go for long walks preferably off-leash. Our home is on the Mohawk River so water loving dogs get to swim. I take care of dogs full time. I live on a dead end street so we can take frequent short walks. We also go to the dog park. Every dog has unique qualities that require special attention and care. I watch for fear-based reactions and avoid certain situations or help to overcome anxiety.

She stayed several days at the house and sent so many nice pictures and videos of the dogs enjoying her stay. It was so nice to go out of town and not worry. We received thoughtful updates and wonderful photos throughout our trip, which gave us complete peace of mind. During an intense heatwave, our central air unexpectedly started making a loud noise. While we were hundreds of miles away, she calmly troubleshot the issue with us over the phone, and together we were able to solve the problem quickly. That level of care and willingness to help went far beyond what anyone would expect. As if that wasn't enough, she even surprised Steele with a new toy. It was such a thoughtful gesture that perfectly reflects the kind of person she is. When we returned home, Steele was happy, relaxed, and clearly loved. Our home was also in excellent condition. Finding someone you trust with both your home and your beloved dog is priceless. We cannot recommend her highly enough, and we will absolutely book with her again. She turned what started as a stressful situation into one of the best Rover experiences we've ever had. (I tipped Shannon in cash prior to us leaving).
Duncan was a great fit to watch our dog, Bear. He was really thoughtful in his care of Bear and was knowledgeable about breeds of his size (he's a Newfoundland). He kept us informed of how he was doing the whole time we were away. Bear seemed very at ease with him. We will definitely book with Duncan again!
