About: I have hosted dogs for over 15 years and have experience with many breeds. My dog Harvey was a member of Therapy Dog International. I believe that the key to well-behaved dogs is plenty of exercise so aside from wrestling and chasing, we go for long walks preferably off-leash. Our home is on the Mohawk River so water loving dogs get to swim. I take care of dogs full time. I live on a dead end street so we can take frequent short walks. We also go to the dog park. Every dog has unique qualities that require special attention and care. I watch for fear-based reactions and avoid certain situations or help to overcome anxiety.

About: I have, of course experience as a pet lover as a young child, merely watching and walking the dogs, feeding and changing litter/ picking up after the dogs. I never fully had responsibility and experience until I adopted my pal Leo. He is a high energy lab retriever and puts me through every step of patience! All in all, it has taught me to be stern and serious when needed, but flip it around to fun and playful as well. My boy knows to respect me and listen when i give a command. Kathryn stayed in our home for three nights while caring for our 9-month-old puppy, Steele. Steele is still young and requires a good amount of structure and attention—she can only be crated for up to four hours at a time and eats three meals a day. Kathryn handled all of this seamlessly and kept Steele on her routine without any issues. What we especially appreciated was Kathryn’s care during a slightly more challenging time—Steele was just finishing her heat cycle, and Kathryn managed everything with professionalism and ease. It gave us real peace of mind knowing Steele was in such capable hands. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup and a house that was just as we left it. Duncan was a great fit to watch our dog, Bear. He was really thoughtful in his care of Bear and was knowledgeable about breeds of his size (he's a Newfoundland).
