“Jamie was great! I just adopted Manny and he is not housebroken yet. Jamie came for a meet and greet, and then walked Manny two days later. Jamie reported how well Manny did and I was very grateful! Thanks Jamie! I continue to use Jamie for my little guy.”

About: I don’t just love animals, I have been around them since the day I was born. I have had cats, dogs, birds, and small rodents since I was born. I have taken care of these animals from a very young age and believe I have a natural understanding of pets and their behaviors! I currently work full time at a middle school in Albany where my hours are 8 AM to 3 PM. Otherwise, I am usually free and have more availability on weekends, during school breaks and over the summer. I currently am a cat mom and keep all of my cats indoors. When I owned dogs and other animals in the past, I make sure to tend to their unique needs whether that mean adhering to a medication regimen or putting them in their cage/crate as needed.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the level of individualized care and attention I give every dog. I don’t just “watch” pets — I truly get to know their personalities, routines, and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I have experience training puppies, including basic commands, leash manners, crate training, and reinforcing positive behaviors. I’m also confident caring for senior dogs who may need a slower pace, extra patience, or mobility support. Whether your pup is high-energy and playful or calm and cuddly, I adapt to their unique temperament. I prioritize clear communication, regular photo updates, and creating a stress-free experience for both pets and owners. Your dog’s safety, happiness, and well-being always come first. Pet care is a natural part of my daily and weekly routine — I intentionally structure my schedule to make sure I have dedicated, unhurried time for each dog. Whether it’s morning walks, midday check-ins, playtime, feeding schedules, or evening cuddles, I plan my days around the pets in my care so they receive consistent attention and companionship. I build flexibility into my week to accommodate different energy levels and needs, from active pups who love longer walks to seniors who prefer shorter, gentler outings. Because I prioritize reliability and routine, your dog can count on consistent care, and you can count on dependable communication and updates. Caring for pets isn’t something I squeeze in — it’s something I genuinely make space for. In My Home: When pets stay with me, I create a calm, safe, and welcoming environment that feels as close to their normal routine as possible. I follow your feeding schedules, potty routines, exercise needs, and any specific instructions you provide. Dogs receive plenty of supervised playtime, walks, mental stimulation, and affection. I’m mindful of introductions (if other pets are present), keep the space clean and secure, and make sure every dog has a comfortable area to rest and relax. In Your Home: When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their usual routine to reduce stress. I stick closely to feeding times, walks, and preferred activities. I also respect your home by keeping things tidy, bringing in mail if requested, and ensuring everything is secure before I leave. My goal is to make your absence feel as smooth and normal as possible for your pet. For both services, I prioritize safety, communication, and regular photo updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I treat every animal as if they were my own — with patience, attentiveness, and lots of love.

About: I have watched 2 dogs for a family on Rover, but that is the only professional experience i have. I used to walk my neighbors dog & I dog sit for my family all the time. I've watched them overnight and during the day. Also I've had different kinds of animals throughout my life that I've had to take care of, including dogs. My sisters have smaller dogs, but a lot of my family friends have bigger dogs like pitbulls. I personally love animals a lot, especially dogs. I work very well with them because of that. I currently work as a supervisor at a restaurant in latham. I have pretty open availability and can work around my schedule to accommodate pet care. I have 2 cats and a bearded dragon that I love very much. I am currently not taking overnight stays because of it. My cats get stressed out and high anxiety with too much going on. My cats were only 2/3 weeks old when I rescued them, so they have some lingering issues from being separated from Mom too soon.
“Gillian is a dream! She was an instant hit with our pups and meeting her prior to the day the dogs needed her care put us at ease as her warm and welcoming personality instantly confirmed for us that she would take good care of our dogs. Her availability is awesome and she was even able to help us with a very last minute request. Rest-assured, your beloved pets will be in great hands with Gillian 🩷”

About: I love dogs so much. From big to little and any size in between. Varying energy levels too. I adopted my first dog when she was a little older than a puppy, but friends and family have asked me for tips and tricks for years. I love working on leash manners and playing, as well as being able to relax and snuggle on the couch. I have a soft spot for any kind of dog, and I love finding out their little quirks and watching their personalities develop. I volunteer at different animal shelters, so I have experience with dogs in all kinds of situations. I am currently looking for a job, which means that I will have plenty of time to care for and look after animals. All of my attention will solely be on the dogs, and I will do whatever I can to help. I have a very gentle approach to the way that I care for animals. I love lists and knowing all about small details, so anything important that you would like me to know about your dog would be very beneficial. I am very partial to detail, and try to remember everything I am told about the animal's wellbeing. I strive to make sure that they are comfortable and happy, while following and respecting the rules of the client's home.
“Julianna was a lifesaver when our housesitter sprained her ankle and couldn't take our dog our for longer daily walks. We really appreciated the help & would happily hire Julianna again!”

About: I am a Veterinary Assistant turned Pet Groomer turned Stay-at-Home mom of a 1 year old and our 2 cats and 3 dogs! I have been taking care of others’ pets for over 10 years and cannot wait to meet yours! Along with what I offer from the app, I am a certified pet groomer so if your pet needs a haircut let me know! Check out my Instagram and Facebook pages for my experience: Puppy at Heart Pet Grooming 🩷🐩 I am a Stay-At-Home mom so your pet will have structured doggie daycare during the day with my dogs as we are here most of the time:) I have a fenced in yard on a dead end street with at least 3 neighbors home at all times on our street. Our dogs are accepting of everyone (Although everyone says this, ours have been trained and safely socialized from pet sitting for others, to coming to work with me at a vet hospital and pet grooming salons, as well as when I worked at a doggy daycare years ago.)
“Cassandra was great, she was available to walk my dog on the 4th of July holiday. She’s very caring and attentive, she made sure my dog was comfortable and had everything she needed after her walk :)”

About: With my 7+ year career in non-profit animal welfare and vet med, including running a spay/neuter and vaccination clinic, (plus 30+ years of personal experience caring for cats, dogs, small animals, horses and exotics) you can rest easy leaving your animals in my experienced and loving care. From rambunctious puppies and kittens, to shy and reactive dogs (I have one of those myself), to seniors with special medical needs (I have THREE of those!), I've seen them all. When you entrust me with the care of your animal, they become like members of my extended four-legged family, receiving the same loving attention and care as my own. My engagements (work, volunteering, assisting with family childcare, etc.) are part-time only and highly flexible. My calendar reflects times that I am available (with notice) to intentionally commit my time and attention to your animals. Cats boarded in my home are given their own private bedroom with lots of natural sunlight and views over the garden for prime bird-watching. They will receive visits and love all day long, kept separate and unbothered by my cantankerous orange fluff-ball. Because one of my two dogs is very seldomly dog-social, out of fairness to her AND to clients' dogs I do not offer dog boarding in my home. I will happily care for your dog in your home, including overnights when my schedule allows.
About: Grew up with cats and dogs. Always made myself available to watch friends pets. Have my own dog now. Want to spend more time with the good-est pooches and kitties. Looking for additional income to take on more pets in my own home! I work from home on my own schedule. So I’m generally open and have the ability to move other commitments, if needed. I’m excited to be taking on a few extra per tasks per day. I have a four bedroom house with securely fenced yard. Only occupied by myself and my friendly, easy-going 10yr old Labradoodle, Reddington. We have plenty of space to play or even just mellow out. I live in a quiet neighborhood with easily walkable streets for even more smells to explore.
“Lianna was wonderful! I knew my fur baby was being well taken care of. She knew I was anxious leaving my baby so she sent me multiple pictures of every outing so I could see how Tessie was? She was prompt, fed Tessie and made sure she took her medicine everyday for her chronic condition. I highly recommend Lianna if you are in need of pet sitter/walker. I have already booked her again for my next out of town trip when I cannot take my baby.”
About: I don’t have specific set of skills other than the fact that I am a dog mom. My dogs are my world and my main priority. I have a lot of love to give and I think animals deserve it the most. I will make myself available to be with your pet as much as needed and wanted by the client. My pets are my world and are considered each day when it comes to giving them the best life possible. I’m 44 years old with an older son who is 28. So for people my age who normally have small children I have my 2 dogs and my 2 cats. They are my children My animals are always considered in any and all plans that I may have. They are my top priority and your animal would be no different. I am a nurturer by nature. When I was in need of dog sitter Rover provided me with someone who took care of and loved my dogs just as much as I did. It motivated me to want to be that person for other people. I will love and spoil your animal as if they were my own. Allowing you to leave them knowing they are being well taken care of. I have a fully fenced in yard and I would make any special arrangements as far as feeding, crating etc that would be needed for your animal.
