Lori was amazing and took excellent care of our dog for an overnight stay. We discovered that our dogs had met, walking at Capital Hills and had hit it off right away, so that was an added bonus. But I immediately felt very comfortable and when I dropped Clover off, I truly felt like I was leaving her with a friend. Clover came home clean, happy and exhausted. I can't recommend Lori enough and would absolutely reach out to her again when the need arises. Thank you, Lori!

Ginger is a fantastic human, Sheba seemed very content to cohabitate with. Ginger went above and beyond in her care for my girl. She sent texts, pictures and videos to keep me posted on how my husky was doing throughout her stay. If I go out of town again I know the exact person I will contact through Rover. Thanks again Ginger

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the level of individualized care and attention I give every dog. I don’t just “watch” pets — I truly get to know their personalities, routines, and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I have experience training puppies, including basic commands, leash manners, crate training, and reinforcing positive behaviors. I’m also confident caring for senior dogs who may need a slower pace, extra patience, or mobility support. Whether your pup is high-energy and playful or calm and cuddly, I adapt to their unique temperament. I prioritize clear communication, regular photo updates, and creating a stress-free experience for both pets and owners. Your dog’s safety, happiness, and well-being always come first. Pet care is a natural part of my daily and weekly routine — I intentionally structure my schedule to make sure I have dedicated, unhurried time for each dog. Whether it’s morning walks, midday check-ins, playtime, feeding schedules, or evening cuddles, I plan my days around the pets in my care so they receive consistent attention and companionship. I build flexibility into my week to accommodate different energy levels and needs, from active pups who love longer walks to seniors who prefer shorter, gentler outings. Because I prioritize reliability and routine, your dog can count on consistent care, and you can count on dependable communication and updates. Caring for pets isn’t something I squeeze in — it’s something I genuinely make space for. In My Home: When pets stay with me, I create a calm, safe, and welcoming environment that feels as close to their normal routine as possible. I follow your feeding schedules, potty routines, exercise needs, and any specific instructions you provide. Dogs receive plenty of supervised playtime, walks, mental stimulation, and affection. I’m mindful of introductions (if other pets are present), keep the space clean and secure, and make sure every dog has a comfortable area to rest and relax. In Your Home: When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their usual routine to reduce stress. I stick closely to feeding times, walks, and preferred activities. I also respect your home by keeping things tidy, bringing in mail if requested, and ensuring everything is secure before I leave. My goal is to make your absence feel as smooth and normal as possible for your pet. For both services, I prioritize safety, communication, and regular photo updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I treat every animal as if they were my own — with patience, attentiveness, and lots of love.

Mellysa was absolutely amazing with our puppy, Juniper! She kept her over Thanksgiving and made sure we knew what Junie was up to the whole time. Mellysa sent adorable photos and videos several times a day, let Junie sleep with her, and just made sure she was safe and happy. Mellysa’s home is safe, her yard is fenced, her pups are friendly. We were able to relax and not worry about our Junie at all, even knowing that she usually hates being away from us. We can’t recommend Mellysa strongly enough and we’ll definitely use her in the future! 🙏

The dog was happy and healthy when we picked him up, and we received a photo with update on Friday. I can’t complain, and I don’t understand the barking to know the dog can so I assume everything is good.

Brian is an awesome pet sitter and we appreciate that he was able to take our 3 dogs into his home. He was very accommodating to our quick travel needs to head out of town for a family funeral. Communication and updates were appreciated as well as his flexibility. Our 2 Chihuahuas are very anxious and uncomfortable with anyone other than family. After communicating with Brian I felt comfortable leaving them in his care and felt he would be able to handle their quirkiness. He also administered their medications. We will definitely be calling on Brian again for his services.

She even mended a bandana he was wearing. On top of it, she sent him home with a Halloween bandana she sewed! We will definitely request her care again.

We have used Sheronda two times within the last couple of months. We have nothing but praise for her and her family as well as the care she has given to our Elly. She was also understanding when we had a medical emergency on our most recent trip. We love how many updates and pictures we get. You won't get a better dog sitter anywhere. We look forward to using her service again.

Again Dawn was great taking care of our pup while we were gone for 9 days — make that 11 days, thanks to Southwest Airlines’ massive series of cancellations. Dawn updated us twice daily and sent cute pix of our pup every day. We’ve had Sunny stay with her several times now and are booking another stay soon.

This was our first time using Peggy on Rover. Our cocker spaniel, Sadie did awesome at her home. My Sadie really took to and loved spending time with her husband. Peggy was in contact with us daily with a picture and updates. We never worried while away we knew Sadie was in good hands. Our experience was everything we had hoped for. Thank you Peggy and we will definitely use you in the future and pass your name onto our friends.

I dropped Stella off with a large cut on her lip (lord only knows what she got into) and she when I picked her up not only was that looking so much better but she was enriched (not a maniac by the time we got home) and Amber was able to administer pain killers to her. Best rover I've had in a while.

Amber took such good care of Sunny while we had to travel. She provided us updates almost instantly after we dropped him off and all through the long weekend. Other than sending pictures, she provided feedback on how he was getting along while staying at her home. The constant communication truly made us happy to know what kind of fun our boy was getting into. We highly recommend Amber!!

Tracy was absolutely wonderful. She has a big beautiful yard for my old girl to sniff around. And Tracy was extra attentive, because Loosey will run off and has absolutely no recall. I will happily hire Tracy over and over. Loosey came back to me happy and healthy. Couldn't ask for anything more.

FAQs for Dog Boarding - Rotterdam

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Boarding in Rotterdam on Rover is $49.95 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 385 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in Rotterdam. About 90% of Rotterdam sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
