Lianna was amazing. This was my first time using Rover and Lianna helped relieve any anxiety I had. Great communication, pictures sent multiple times a day, and answered any questions I had in a timely fashion. I 100% recommend her for your next fur baby stay.

Maegan took great care of both my dogs on a short notice. Sent pics daily to make me feel more at ease and reminded that they were in great hands. Love the indoor space she has created for dogs with direct access to her fenced in back yard so dogs were able to go outside at their free will. Will book with her again in the future.

Peg was very responsive, friendly and helpful. She is organized and new the right questions to ask to ensure a successful stay for our pet . From the way copper was bouncing around when we picked him up really enjoyed his stay. I think he loved the freedom of the fenced yard and running free with the other dogs. For Copper, the freedom to run un-tethered is such a treat after spending most of his time on a chain and runner.

Chris was a wonderful sitter. With Chris, you also get Jia, his girlfriend, as a bonus second sitter who loves dogs. Bentley made immediate friends upon the preliminary meet and greet. The couple has no pets currently, so they were able to give Bentley loads of personal attention and play time. Chris lives near Washington Park, so Bentley had plenty of grassy area to run around and meet other dogs. Chris and Jia worked with our high energy, young pyredoodle, so Bentley would respond to commands more readily. We highly recommend booking with Chris.

Amanda is the best dog-sitter ever and Woodrow had a fantastic time with her!!!! Amanda was very transparent, kept in constant contact and sent plenty of pics of Woodrow on hikes, walks, sleeping, sun bathing and playing. I can leave Woodrow without any concerns at all. I would definitely recommend Amanda and leave Woodrow with her again for future trips! Thank you so much for taking care of my boy and allowing me to have a worry-free vacation. 🫶🏼

About: With years of devoted pet care, puppy training, senior support, rescue volunteering, fostering, and animal‑care schooling, I bring heartfelt, family‑level love and patient, intuitive attention to every dog I care for. Pet care is woven into my daily rhythm — from morning check‑ins to evening walks, caring for our three rescues in my wide, fenced‑in backyard is my daily cup of sunshine! Their love fuels my purpose and inspires me to help other pet parents care for their furbabies while they handle life’s responsibilities. My home was chosen with dogs in mind. Our wide, fenced‑in backyard offers shade, space, and freedom — originally built for our first rescue who needed safety, comfort, and room to explore. With no stairs inside, senior pups move easily and confidently. Every room is pet‑friendly, and dogs are welcome on furniture to relax as part of the family. Crates are available only if your dog feels safe choosing one — never forced. Our three rescues freely roam indoors and outside, receiving gentle, attentive care, and your furbaby will be treated with the same love, respect, and family‑level comfort. Today, I operate with strict capacity limits and automated schedule rules to ensure a flawless, ultra-safe care environment.) Caring for my three resident pup-rescues, 3 indoor cats, as well as our 13year old male cat who is feral, is my primary passion and my full-time daily focus. Because this is my dedicated lifestyle, I provide a highly structured and dependable environment for your furbaby. **(Note on my Review History: If you scroll down, you will see two negative reviews from 7 years ago regarding scheduling issues. We began to call our home "Park-In-The-Yard on Lee Ave"-- Our backyard is a park, and every dog is treated like family. Our daily lives revolve around rescuing and fostering small and medium dogs. This patient & unconditional love became second nature to us. We open our hearts and our home to your furbabies, treating them exactly like members our own pack. Daycare operates Monday through Friday with a strict drop-off window between 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM, aligning perfectly with my morning routine. Our weekend boarding begins on Friday evenings as daycare wraps up and runs through Monday morning. This predictable schedule ensures that transitions are always calm, organized, and stress-free for the dogs. **(Note on my Review History: If you scroll down, you will see two negative reviews from 7 years ago regarding scheduling issues. I enforce strict safety boundaries: I only accept small-to-medium dogs and strictly limit care to a maximum of 3 guest dogs at any time. My home features a secure, attached garage breezeway that serves as a double-gated transition zone, ensuring no dog can ever bolt near the street during drop-offs.Inside, my home is a staircase-free, pet-friendly environment where dogs are welcome to lounge on the furniture, beds, or right in my lap. Crates are entirely optional and only used if a dog seeks one out for feeling safe and secure. Our wide, securely fenced chain-link backyard is a true outdoor paradise built for comfort, safety, and freedom to experience zoomies! Katie was amazing. I have 2 hounds that are a handful and I get nervous leaving them anywhere because it takes a very patient person to deal with them at times! She sent pics and updates and I truly felt comfortable the whole time they were with her and her son. Will be booking her everytime we head upstate.

My dog Ginger is full of energy and loved zooming around with Marianne's young daughter, and I am sure she appreciated the frequent walkies. Ginger does get a little anxious and can be a picky eater when in new places, but Marianne was communicative and flexible in her approach to help Ginger get comfy and eating well. Lots of updates and pictures/cute video clips. Overall a pleasant experience and I will definitely book with her again if I need a sitter.

Selfishly I would love to keep this my best secret , but John is the best sitter you could possibly hope for. I am actually blown away by the amount of attention and care my pup received here. We got constant updates and had no doubts at all about Winston being spoiled while we were spoiling ourselves. Couldn't ask for more.

A huge thank you to Anna for taking such wonderful care of my puppy while we were away! I was really nervous because she’s still very young, and this was the first time we had ever left her with a pet sitter. But everything went wonderfully. Anna is an experienced and caring sitter who made sure my puppy felt safe and comfortable and took excellent care of her. I’m so grateful and would absolutely trust Anna with her again!

I dropped Stella off with a large cut on her lip (lord only knows what she got into) and she when I picked her up not only was that looking so much better but she was enriched (not a maniac by the time we got home) and Amber was able to administer pain killers to her. Best rover I've had in a while.

Amber took such good care of Sunny while we had to travel. She provided us updates almost instantly after we dropped him off and all through the long weekend. Other than sending pictures, she provided feedback on how he was getting along while staying at her home. The constant communication truly made us happy to know what kind of fun our boy was getting into. We highly recommend Amber!!

We would absolutely recommend Sarah and Anthony to anyone looking for reliable and caring pet care!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Boarding in Scotia on Rover is $42.18 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 382 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in Scotia. About 91% of Scotia sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
