We have used Sheronda two times within the last couple of months. We have nothing but praise for her and her family as well as the care she has given to our Elly. She was also understanding when we had a medical emergency on our most recent trip. We love how many updates and pictures we get. You won't get a better dog sitter anywhere. We look forward to using her service again.

Awoo was awesome and Ruby had a great time. It is always nerve wracking dropping off your dog at a new place but as soon as we got there, we knew it was a good choice. There’s lots of space for the dogs to roam in a fenced in area and Ruby made some new friends. Awoo was very responsive and sent pictures when I checked in to see how she was doing . I would absolutely send Ruby here again!

Omg, we’re so thankful for Geena! Story time, so our previous sitter was unavailable but the app said she was available (technology lol). So we were worried because we didn’t have a backup plan and we needed a sitter for my grandma’s funeral. Geena was so helpful with last minute arrangements and made us feel so comfortable with leaving our fur babies for the day. She responded to all my messages, questions and even sent pictures. We were able to attend the funeral with no worries and even booked her again for our vacation. I would definitely recommend using her and we will continue to book with her. Thank you again 💜🫶🏾💜

Kathleen took excellent care of my chihuahua, Cody. Over the course of a month, I boarded him with her a few times each week, and I always felt confident he was in great hands. She was responsive, kind, and incredibly patient, not just with my (very energetic!) chihuahua 🙃, but with me as well. I’m so grateful for the care she provided and would highly recommend Kathleen to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter.

Mary is the perfect Rover for us. We left Corby, our yorkie-mix with Mary and never worried once. We knew she missed her two little dogs and would spoil Corby. He had a great time in her fenced in yard and made himself right at home on the sofa and checking out the activity outside. A quiet country setting Corby will be visiting every time we go away. She sent us picture updates and notes.

About: With years of devoted pet care, puppy training, senior support, rescue volunteering, fostering, and animal‑care schooling, I bring heartfelt, family‑level love and patient, intuitive attention to every dog I care for. Pet care is woven into my daily rhythm — from morning check‑ins to evening walks, caring for our three rescues in my wide, fenced‑in backyard is my daily cup of sunshine! Their love fuels my purpose and inspires me to help other pet parents care for their furbabies while they handle life’s responsibilities. My home was chosen with dogs in mind. Our wide, fenced‑in backyard offers shade, space, and freedom — originally built for our first rescue who needed safety, comfort, and room to explore. With no stairs inside, senior pups move easily and confidently. Every room is pet‑friendly, and dogs are welcome on furniture to relax as part of the family. Crates are available only if your dog feels safe choosing one — never forced. Our three rescues freely roam indoors and outside, receiving gentle, attentive care, and your furbaby will be treated with the same love, respect, and family‑level comfort. I experienced burnout, took a long hiatus, and completely rebuilt my life and business. Today, I operate with strict capacity limits and automated schedule rules to ensure a flawless, ultra-safe care environment.) Caring for my three resident pup-rescues, 3 indoor cats, as well as our 13year old male cat who is feral, is my primary passion and my full-time daily focus. Because this is my dedicated lifestyle, I provide a highly structured and dependable environment for your furbaby. **(Note on my Review History: If you scroll down, you will see two negative reviews from 7 years ago regarding scheduling issues. We began to call our home "Park-In-The-Yard on Lee Ave"-- Our backyard is a park, and every dog is treated like family. Our daily lives revolve around rescuing and fostering small and medium dogs. This patient & unconditional love became second nature to us. We open our hearts and our home to your furbabies, treating them exactly like members our own pack. Daycare operates Monday through Friday with a strict drop-off window between 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM, aligning perfectly with my morning routine. Our weekend boarding begins on Friday evenings as daycare wraps up and runs through Monday morning. This predictable schedule ensures that transitions are always calm, organized, and stress-free for the dogs. **(Note on my Review History: If you scroll down, you will see two negative reviews from 7 years ago regarding scheduling issues. I enforce strict safety boundaries: I only accept small-to-medium dogs and strictly limit care to a maximum of 3 guest dogs at any time. My home features a secure, attached garage breezeway that serves as a double-gated transition zone, ensuring no dog can ever bolt near the street during drop-offs.Inside, my home is a staircase-free, pet-friendly environment where dogs are welcome to lounge on the furniture, beds, or right in my lap. Chris was a wonderful sitter. With Chris, you also get Jia, his girlfriend, as a bonus second sitter who loves dogs. Bentley made immediate friends upon the preliminary meet and greet. The couple has no pets currently, so they were able to give Bentley loads of personal attention and play time. Chris lives near Washington Park, so Bentley had plenty of grassy area to run around and meet other dogs. Chris and Jia worked with our high energy, young pyredoodle, so Bentley would respond to commands more readily. We highly recommend booking with Chris.

Chelsea went above & beyond for us. First she agreed to take on our senior dog for an extended stay on relatively short notice. The petsitter who’d agreed to take him backed out when she heard he had a cough, even though it wasn’t kennel cough. She didn’t blink an eye at the fact that he needed small meals 6 times a day due to the medications he was taking. She understood my directions (and it was complicated!). He never has accidents at home but I know he’s had a tendency towards him when boarded & that didn’t phase Chelsea either. Of course she also shared photos of him. You won’t regret leaving your dog with Chelsea, no matter their age (our dog is 15).

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 365 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in West Charlton. About 91% of West Charlton sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
