“Absolutely Amazing! I have a full hand 3 month puppy that was so happy in her house. She kept Natti schedule with no accidents! She’s kind and a true animal person. Jillian has a lovely home and backyard for the pups to play and explore. Definitely Natti is going back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!”

“Addy took such wonderful care of my pup, Gabriel. She sent pictures twice a day with an update. He always looked so relaxed and happy. Addy is very kindhearted - I would recommend her again and again!”

“We don’t let anyone else watch our French bulldog. David takes her for plenty of walks, gives her lots of attention, and makes sure she gets her medication. She’s very happy with David, as are we!”

“Natthinee took great care of Bowser. Every day she messaged me how he was doing and sent me lots of photos. The communication was great! It helped me feel comfortable leaving Bowser for so many days. I’d definitely use Natthinee again to watch Bowser.”

“Jonathan was great with Annie. He was careful with the food instructions and let me know how the stay was going. He was flexible with drop off and pick up times, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend Jonathan as a dog boarder!”

“Kyle has care for my pup overnight, for anything from 1 night to 9 nights. She is amazing. My dog clearly loves her and is very comfortable each time I bring him. Kyle is extra communicative and shows my dog love in ways that go above and beyond. My pup and I find Kyle to be very trustworthy and safe. We really appreciate her.”

“Jacqueline was super confident about watching Beaumont and clearly had experience with dogs. She offered flexibility with our days/timing due to weather (didn’t want to subject the dog to walking town in the pouring rain!). Overall great experience, would use Jacqueline again!”

“Megan took great care of my 2 dogs while I was away and terrific to deal with. She really went out of her way to make sure they were taken care of and providing me with updates and pics throughout thier stay. She was also very accomadating when my schedule was changing as well as dealing with my one dog who is very anxious and hyper active. He was more at ease with her than I would have anticipated after meeting for the first time. I will be using her again in the near future and would definitely recommend.”

About: I have grown up with several dogs and cats that I have taken care of. My dad is also a dog trainer, so I often go out on walks and play with the dogs he cares for. I am very active, so your pets will never be bored! My schedule varies biweekly, so I am home every other week. The weeks I am off i have lots of free time, so I can be very flexible. The weeks I do have to work, I work nights, so I can be free during the afternoons for walks or drop-ins. I live without children, so your pets will be my priority. I have a fenced in yard for your pets to play in! I do own two cats and share my mom’s small dog part time, so i prefer pets that are friendly with other animals! If your pet needs to be crated I can accommodate that, but I also allow pets on furniture and on the bed if that is what they are used to at home. I am very flexible and am willing to accommodate most things to make your pets feel comfortable.
“Anna was absolutely wonderful with my rescue dog, who can be very timid and anxious in new environments. She was so patient, kind, and gentle, taking the time to help my pup feel safe and comfortable. I could tell she truly cares about the animals she looks after. I’m so grateful to have found someone so compassionate, we will definitely use Anna in again—highly recommend!”

“We have used Sheronda two times within the last couple of months. We have nothing but praise for her and her family as well as the care she has given to our Elly. She was also understanding when we had a medical emergency on our most recent trip. We love how many updates and pictures we get. You won't get a better dog sitter anywhere. We look forward to using her service again.”

“Mery and Brad were great! They sent photos of our dog while we were away on vacation. They were flexible and allowed us to add on days at the last minute to accommodate for travel time to and from our vacation even though it delayed their day trip plans.. Our dog came back happy and obviously well taken care of. Definitely will use them again!!”

“Mellysa was amazing with our high energy puppy. She was available even though it was a last minute booking and sent pictures and follow up throughout the stay. Our puppy had so much fun and came home exhausted from all the play. Pur puppy loved her dogs and cried when she had to leave. Highly recommend for a safe and loving sitter while you are away.”

“Mikaela was really great! She was gracious to watch our pup while we attended a wedding nearby and was extremely communicative leading up and throughout his stay! We would absolutely book with Mikaela again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Greenfield Center
I can’t say enough good things about the care Julia and Adam provided! They cared for my dog, Rocky for 8 nights while I was on vacation. They are both warm and friendly people and their facility is exceptional. While I was away, they communicated frequently and posted pictures for me to see. It was great peace of mind and made my vacation more enjoyable knowing Rocky was happy and loved. Rocky had so much fun with them and his doggy buddies. In fact, I don’t think he wanted to come home. 🤣 I wouldn’t hesitate to send Rocky here again. 10 out of 10 recommend!!

Addy was a perfect sitter for our dog, Hobbes. Hobbes is a bit of a challenging dog - he’s very good with people but can be a bit territorial and is very aggressive toward other dogs. Addy spent time getting to know him before our visit and asked great questions about how to care for him. We had absolutely no worries while we were away that he was safe and well taken care of. She provided so many wonderful photos and updates, gave him lots of treats, and worked with his quirks/personality to give him the most comfortable stay while we were gone. It is so nice to have such a patient and kind sitter available for dogs that are a bit challenging! Thank you Addy!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
