“Great first Rover house sitting experience! Whitney was reliable, communicative, and took excellent care of our senior dog while we were away. We really appreciated the updates and felt completely at ease knowing she was in good hands. Whitney also left our house nearly spotless — it barely looked like anyone had been there for four days. Highly recommend!”

“When my usual pet sitter was out of town recently and I needed someone pretty last minute, I frantically started looking for someone to come for my dog and cat’s first in-home overnight stay. Libby was SO sweet, accommodating and patient with me, and immediately seemed to have a connection with my fur babies. She was prompt and courteous, and kept in touch during the stay including pictures. I’ll absolutely be calling Libby again!”
“Kevin was fantastic with Cosmo, we had scheduled him to watch Cosmo at our house for a long weekend and he took care of Cosmo and the house. He sent regular updates of the dog with images during the weekend and had let us know that his food was getting low so that we could order a new bag while we were out. I hope to schedule Kevin again in the future, he did a fantastic job.”

About: Hello there, fellow pet parents! I’m Taylor and I can’t wait to meet your furry, feathery, and scaly companions! I have spent as much of my life as I can remember caring for and being around all types of animals. Honestly being around animals just makes me the happiest I could be. I have 5 rescue animals of my own! 2 dogs, 2 Cats, and a bird! All of which I rescued not from a shelter but by very happy coincidences! I work part time at a boarding facility so I’m with animals not just at home but at work as well!! I work remote for my full time job half the week so my availability is pretty open. As I work at a boarding facility I have a wealth of experience when it comes to a wide verity of pets. I understand the importances of feeding times, administration of medication, and routines in general. Your pets health and safety is my top priority. I know when I am away from my animals I love getting updates so I believe communication is key. I love sending photos and updates so when you’re not there you can still feel with them! I am dedicated to providing the service that I would want for my pet family. Your pets happiness is my top priority! I am very excited to meet your pets! I work remote half of the week so I have plenty of time to spend with your animals on the other days I can be there before and after my shift. I will treat your dog and your home as if it were my own. I follow the established routine provided by the owner to ensure a stress free and fun time
“Nicole was just excellent with our dog Josie. She handled Josie’s anxiety so well and did so much to make sure Josie had a good time! She kept us updated frequently, and asked all the right questions. We would not hesitate to book Nicole again!”

“Anna was awesome!! I really appreciated her updates and communication. She left the house in great shape. Most importantly, my cat Azi clearly adored her, and I could travel knowing he was safe and happy. Will definitely hire again :)”

“Danica was great! I can't recommend her enough. My pup was well taken care of and I got numerous updates on how he was doing. He is a bit of an anxious boy but any concerns I had of him being uncomfortable were erased at the meet and greet!”

About: I am currently attending Long Island University College of Veterinary Medicine to become a veterinarian! I have experience in pet sitting as well as hospital settings including boarding and being a veterinary assistant. I have provided care for a variety of animals from dogs and cats to goats and chickens! I have experience with all kinds of breeds and different personality types like skittish or reactive pets. I grew up rescuing and fostering animals so my animal experience has been my whole life. Professionally I’ve worked with animals for 6 years. While I am currently in school my schedule is limited to weekend availability. I may be able to do week night care like drop in feedings or walks. I am very respectful of others homes and understand I am providing professional yet caring services for their animals! I treat every pet I work with as my own! I want to make sure everyone including the pet is comfortable!
“1st time Rover user. I cannot say enough good things about Miles. He is kind, compassionate, responsible. He sent pictures and communicated everyday. He took care of the mail and my house. I feel safe leaving my 3 boy cats with Miles, anytime. I certainly will be booking him again. Thank you, Miles.”

“Madalyn continues to be our go-to sitter when we will be away. She has great communication with us throughout and sends pics to know our dog is in great hands. Ruby also loves playing with her dog which is amazing to see!”

“Repeat customer, Stephanie (Net) is the best and goes above and beyond. We have a bunch of pets including a senior dog and a high energy middle age pup (cats, a lizard, oh my!) and she’s great with everyone. Highly recommend!”

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life, I was a bather in a dog salon, and my sister is a vet assistant and pet groomer who I have been learning from. I have spent the last 5 years dog sitting for various friends and family. I currently care for my three year old niece during the day and I have the ability to be home with your pet all day during their stay :) We have a fenced in yard, we live on a quiet dead end street and my sister (who also lives in the home) is a vet assistant and pet groomer who knows emergency protocols. I also care for her pets throughout the day, but separate from boarders during their stay. However, since they are dog-friendly and well socialized, you also have the option to add playtime with them to your dog’s stay!
“Alyssa did a great job watching our two dogs. She fed them and let them out according to directions and they enjoyed spending time with her. We would book her again in the future.”

About: I have hosted dogs for over 15 years and have experience with many breeds. My dog Harvey was a member of Therapy Dog International. I believe that the key to well-behaved dogs is plenty of exercise so aside from wrestling and chasing, we go for long walks preferably off-leash. Our home is on the Mohawk River so water loving dogs get to swim. I take care of dogs full time. I live on a dead end street so we can take frequent short walks. We also go to the dog park. Every dog has unique qualities that require special attention and care. I watch for fear-based reactions and avoid certain situations or help to overcome anxiety.

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for all kinds of breeds, from tiny Chihuahuas to giant Newfoundlands, and have experience with puppies as young as 3 weeks old as well as senior dogs up to 14 years old. I’m comfortable with dogs of all temperaments, energy levels, and care needs. Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime, learning basic commands, or prefers a slower pace, I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and care. I have experience with basic training and enjoy helping reinforce good habits and routines in a positive way. Every dog has their own personality, so I like to take the time to get to know what makes them feel coming. My goal is to provide dependable care while giving pet parents peace of mind. At the end of the day, our pets are family, and I’ll treat yours like they’re part of mine. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, having pets myself, and I make it a priority to be dependable and punctual. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I do my best to maintain their normal schedule, whether that means walks, feeding times, play sessions, or drop in visits. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, making pet care something I genuinely look forward to each day. Safety is a top priority for me, especially during walks. I take the time to properly understand each pet’s behavior, triggers, and comfort level before heading out, and I stay attentive to their surroundings at all times to ensure they are secure and well managed. I like to follow key safety precautions like using properly fitted leashes and harnesses, avoiding high-traffic or overstimulating areas when needed, checking gates and doors carefully, and always keeping a secure hold on pets when entering or exiting spaces. I also focus on building trust with each pet by moving at their pace, using calm and consistent body language, and allowing them to become comfortable with me before expecting too much interaction. I pay attention to their signals and respect their boundaries, which helps create a sense of safety and reliability. Over time, this helps pets feel more at ease with me, making walks and in home care smoother and more comfortable for them.

Rexford pet parents share their Rover experiences
This was our first time using an in home pet sitter! We (and our dogs) knew Jenna from our veterinary practice and while our latest rescue has special needs (super high fear-anxiety), we were hesitant to take a vacation. Jenna took away our hesitations staring with the in home meet and greet. Peach quickly became friends with Jenna! Communication was top notch! We received pictures and messages daily. Our flight was cancelled due to weather and we were gone an extra couple of days which was no problem! Jenna is trustworthy, neat and clean. We will welcome her back again and again! Thank you for loving our babies as much as we do!!

Kimberly is an exceptional sitter! We went away for a long weekend and she took excellent care of our Lab-mix, Penny. Her communication was excellent and she regularly sent photos and videos of Penny during her walks and play time. Kimberly was also very thoughtful and considerate while staying in our home - she even brought in the mail and packages for us. We would recommend Kimberly 100%, and so would Penny!
