About: 🐾 QUICK OVERVIEW • Private in-home dog boarding & limited doggy daycare • Calm, low-volume care (typically 1–2 dogs at a time) • Work-from-home dog sitter with a large, securely fenced yard • Excellent for anxious, sensitive, senior, or routine-loving dogs • Pet CPR & First Aid certified • Mindful walks, attentive companionship, and overnight care (A peaceful, boutique alternative to traditional daycare or kennels.) ––– ✨ABOUT ME Experienced • Attentive • Grounded • Quality-Focused Animals feel safe and deeply cared for in my presence—and I treat that trust with the utmost respect. – I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs (puppies and adults), cats (kittens and seniors), birds, fish, and other small animals. From childhood through adulthood, animals have always been part of my life, including personally caring for multiple dogs and cats, as well as animals while living abroad in Bali, Indonesia—where attentive, mindful care and environmental awareness were essential. – My primary focus is private in-home dog boarding and limited doggy daycare, allowing me to offer consistent companionship, a calm nervous-system-friendly environment, and truly individualized attention. I intentionally limit the number of dogs in my care so each dog can fully settle, relax, and feel at ease—never rushed, overstimulated, or overlooked. – I’m certified in holistic health, mind/body somatics, and breathwork with a trauma-informed lens. This means I’m especially attuned to nervous systems, subtle behavioral cues, routines, emotional regulation, and safety. My care is particularly well-suited for dogs who are sensitive, anxious, elderly, or adjusting to change. – This is boutique, quality-focused care—designed to feel steady, thoughtful, and deeply supportive for both you and your dog. ––– 🐾 What Sets My Care Apart • Work-from-home dog sitter with a securely fenced yard • Calm, grounded presence dogs respond to quickly • Excellent for dogs who value routine, familiarity, and predictability • Attentive observation with proactive, thoughtful care • Clear, dependable communication and updates • Respectful, low-stimulus environment • Pet CPR & First Aid certified • Very large, spacious backyard with outdoor doggie lounge (see photos) • Sun-filled doggie studio space with large doggie door (see photos) • Orthopedic, washable pet beds (small, medium, large) with blankets • Stainless steel feeding bowls, leashes, toys, grooming basics on hand – This is quality—not quantity—care. Your dog will never be rushed, ignored, or treated as “one of many.” ––– 🏡 Home & Environment My home offers a spacious, serene environment designed for comfort and ease. Dogs have access to a secure sunroom/studio for lounging and rest, with a large doggie door opening to an expansive, fully fenced backyard. A front side patio provides additional fresh-air space (see photos). – I’m also a mom to two kind, animal-loving boys (ages 8 and 12) who have grown up around dogs, cats, birds, and fish. They are gentle, respectful, and understand boundaries. They are mostly at school and are not caretakers. All animals in our home are treated with respect and consent, and quiet companionship is always honored. ––– 🐕 MY SERVICES OFFERED (Dog-Only): 🏡 Boarding & Doggie Daycare (Primary Services) I specialize in overnight dog boarding and dog daycare in a private home, offering a low-volume alternative to traditional kennels or group-style daycare. – Dog boarding and daycare is offered in my home for a very limited number of dogs (typically 1–2 at a time). Dogs enjoy a clean, hygienic, serene environment with access to a large, securely fenced yard and a predictable daily rhythm. – Doggy daycare is available in a private, low-volume setting—generally one or two dogs per day if they are compatible—to maintain calm, attentiveness, and safety. – Available upon arrival: • Orthopedic washable pet beds (small, medium, large) with blankets • Stainless steel feeding bowls • Extra leashes, toys, brushes, poop bags • Pet wipes and plant-derived deodorizing dog spray • Light grooming for small and medium-sized dogs A meet & greet is optional to all boarding and daycare bookings. ––– 🚪 Walks and Drop-Ins (Limited Availability) Ideal for pets who need feeding, walks, playtime, or check-ins. I’m punctual, attentive, and communicative. I offer dog walking and drop-in visits in a limited capacity to maintain high-quality care for boarding and daycare clients. – 🐈 Cat Care (Limited Availability) From playful kittens to senior cats who prefer quiet companionship—I’m especially skilled with various feline personalities and subtle cues. – 🦜🐠🦎 Other Care (Limited Availability) (If you have birds, fish, or other small animals, I’m happy to care for them too—just ask!) ––– 💛 MY APPROACH & PRICING I focus on quality, not quantity. My care is intentionally low-volume and highly attentive. Dogs in my care receive consistency, calm, and genuine presence—never rushed or overstimulated service. – My pricing reflects private, individualized care, limited availability, and the level of attention I provide. This is not a high-volume or rotation-based setting. Clients choose my services for peace of mind, reliability, and the quality of care their dog receives. – Meet & greets are always encouraged to ensure the right fit. ––– 🤍 BEST FIT/ NOT A FIT My care is an excellent fit for dogs who: • Thrive in calm, predictable environments • Are comfortable with structure and routine • Enjoy individualized attention and companionship • Do well in a low-volume, private home setting • Are sensitive, anxious, elderly, or adjusting to change • Are potty-trained and comfortable with basic obedience – My care may not be the best fit for dogs who: • Require constant high-energy play or group-style daycare • Are not comfortable in a calm, low-stimulation environment • Are not potty-trained or have ongoing marking behaviors • Need intensive behavioral training beyond routine support • Do best in large, high-volume or highly social pack settings – If you’re unsure whether your dog is a good fit, I’m always happy to have a conversation. My goal is to ensure every dog in my care feels settled, supported, and genuinely at ease. – My services are intentionally designed for families seeking private, attentive, low-volume care rather than traditional or high-energy daycare environments. I work from home, allowing me to offer a highly attentive and flexible schedule. Your dog’s day is thoughtfully shaped around their established routines for meals, walks, companionship, and rest—never forced into a rigid or overcrowded timetable. – I intentionally limit the number of bookings I accept so each dog receives unrushed, individualized care and consistent presence throughout the day. This allows me to maintain a calm, predictable environment and respond thoughtfully to each dog’s needs. – My approach is designed to feel steady, considered, and reliable—providing peace of mind for you and a sense of ease, security, and familiarity for your dog. 💛 A safe, and loving environment for your dog Safety, trust, and calm are at the heart of the care I provide. – My home includes a large sun-filled studio space with access to a spacious, securely fenced and gated backyard. Dogs can safely move between indoors and outdoors through a doggie door, allowing for plenty of fresh air and gentle movement throughout the day. If your dog uses a crate or has specific containment preferences, I’m happy to follow whatever routine feels most familiar and supportive for them. – I live on a quiet, peaceful street in a safe neighborhood, with access to a beautiful nearby walking path. I offer structured, mindful walks that are tailored to each dog’s comfort level, energy, and needs. – I care for every dog as an individual and follow your established routines as closely as possible. I’m very attentive to doors, gates, leashes, and overall environment safety, and I always communicate clearly if anything out of the ordinary comes up. – For daycare and boarding, I provide clean, comfortable orthopedic bedding suitable for small, medium, and large dogs. I also keep extra leashes, dog wipes, poop bags, plant-based deodorizing pet spray, toys, and a ChuckIt ball set on hand. – My goal is to offer a clean, nurturing, low-stress environment where your dog feels relaxed, secure, and genuinely cared for while you’re away.

Trigger and I were passing through town, and I needed a pet sitter for a sightseeing opportunity. Trigger has PTSD and anxiety, and can't be left alone. Emma took me on short notice, did a quick meet and greet the day before, and then took very good care of him while I was gone. A long walk for Trigger, and she let him play in the river (with my permission of course!) , and then hosted him at her house til I got back. Excellent, professional pet sitter, and I hope this review brings more customers her way, because she is definitely two thumbs up!

About: Hello and howdy! My name is Tim and I have landed in Santa Fe after traveling the country for a few months, working remotely on freelance projects as I prepare to start an art therapy masters program this fall. I am indebted to animals for all they have done for me and taught me over the years. Currently, I have a lack of fuzzy friends in my life, so would be delighted to spend a little time with your critters. I hold a valid red cross dog and cat first aid/cpr certification, have experience as a pet sitter through Trusted Housesitters, have many varieties of pets throughout my life, volunteer at the animal shelter, and was a professional pet sitter/pet care provider in Asheville, North Carolina. Here is a review of my work from the pet care business owner, Caroline, there: "As a pet sitting business owner, I can confidently say that Tim is one of the best! Tim is one of those rare people who consistently goes above and beyond in his care, without hesitation. His love for animals is genuine and immediately apparent. He’s also an incredibly talented artist, and if you’re one of his lucky clients, you might even receive a funny yet impressive portrait of your fur babies. A true gem of a gift you will want to laminate and put on your wall! Tim was previously part of my team, and I truly miss having him. He was one of our clients’ favorite house sitters for a reason, he’s just that good. Don’t hesitate for a second to hire him. And if anyone would like a personal reference, I’m more than happy to speak with you directly. You can contact me through the email listed on my business website, WNC Pet Care." I am also an experienced gardener and plant lover. In addition, I am currently working on a graphic novel about a canine revolution, so a portrait of your pooch might appear in the story :). I'm a remote freelance editor and illustrator so have a flexible schedule and just need a comfortable place with internet connection to be able to work. I typically take dogs on 3 walks a day, and like to take breaks from whatever I'm doing to pet them and tell them how cute they are. A little playtime as well. With cats I try to do a little play break a couple times a day if they show interest.

Hannah started regular dog walks for our sweet girl last week. After two weeks of daily walks (M-F), we are as big a fan of Hannah as she is of our pup. Daily reports are a treat to read and we know Sophie’s leash is in capable hands each afternoon while we are at work. Hannah is prompt and reliable and great with our dog. Five stars.

About: I’ve had animals my whole life and have been solely responsible for my own pets for the past 7 years, so I understand the level of care, attention, and trust that’s required. I’ve cared for a sick, older dog and am comfortable supporting senior pets with patience and attentiveness. I also have experience working with rescue animals who may be a bit more wily or need extra understanding and consistency. One thing that really sets me apart is my ability to stay calm and steady in unexpected situations. Through my professional background working with people in high-stress environments, I’ve learned how to respond thoughtfully rather than react - something that translates directly into creating a safe, grounded environment for animals in my care. I approach each pet as an individual, tuning into their energy, needs, and routines so they feel as comfortable and cared for as possible while you’re away. I currently work remotely with a flexible schedule, so I’m able to incorporate pet care easily into my day. I’m available for walks and check-ins Monday through Friday between 9am–5pm, with additional flexibility for evenings and weekends when needed. I currently offer care in my client’s home only. I understand how important it is to respect both your space and your routines, and I approach each home with care, cleanliness, and attention to detail. I follow all instructions closely, from feeding schedules to walking routines, and aim to keep your pet’s environment as consistent and comfortable as possible. I’m mindful that every home and lifestyle is different, and I adapt accordingly - whether that means maintaining a quiet, low-impact presence, keeping things tidy, or following specific household preferences. My goal is to ensure your pet feels secure and your home is treated with the same respect I would give my own.

Eileen is fantastic. I absolutely trust her with my home and my family. I have one sweet butterball of a Labrador that a child could walk, but I also have a 95 lb impulsive shelter rescue that needs a strong head a fast eye and a firm hand to be safe. She's not an easy animal to walk and Eileen has complete command of her, and can walk both of these very different animals together at the same time. She's smart, sensible, prompt, professional, and has good strong boundaries with the dogs while still being kind to them. It's absolutely perfect and I'm beyond grateful that she's available to walk the dogs. ❤️🐾💪

About: I have cared for dogs and cats my whole life so I understand the basics of training and taking care of them. I currently have an orange tabby named Prince who gets along super well with other dogs and cats! No worries if your pet doesn’t get along with others though, I can also have other people watch him while yours stays. I can care for pets whenever, I have classes throughout the week but since I stay on campus I’m never more than 5 minutes walking distance away from my dorm. On average I have about 3 hours of classes per week day so I’m home the rest of the time. I will be able to board always and do dog walks any day of the week. I have reliable transportation as well. My dorm is quite large so I have space to take care of pets, as well as toys and food and a litter box for cats if you can’t bring yours. I also live in a very outdoorsy campus so I can take dogs on long nature walks.

About: I've grown up around dogs my whole life, including being a regular dog walker & dog sitter for my neighbors as a kid. I love dogs and very attentive to their needs. I would love to meet your special dogs! I've worked with young puppies to senior dogs. I am a patient person who understands that each dog is different, so each needs different care. I grew up with dogs since I was a kid. I currently have one dog named Slinky! Slinky was a foster fail, and now I can't imagine my life without him! I love to give long walks to my dog & any other dogs everyday. I also have an active lifestyle so I would be happy to take your dogs on any runs or hikes if they need to burn that extra energy!

About: I have been caring for people’s pets in and out of their homes since college in 2002…. Most recently I cared for 3 dogs and a litter of puppies, which required four trips to the homeowners house per day. I would spend nights over at times to make it easier. The pet owner was a pilot. I have a reference for this too. I have stayed for long stretches of time at someone’s home to care for their pets and small farm. I also have a reference from another client whose dog stayed at my home for several weeks. Her cat stayed over too. I am reliable, flexible and I adore animals. Well, let me tell you… I am a Medicare beneficiary advisor and I work from home! It’s great. I have ample time during parts of the year as well. My home space is fenced in, and large enough to roam and even run. It backs up to an arroyo, where I love to walk. There are also many trails that can be walked. I always do what’s needed and best for the animal and according to the owner’s wishes.

About: I love meeting new pups and helping them live their best life! Safety is first and I will communicate with you to make sure your dog enjoys their walk and has all their physical or medical needs accounted for. Having two of my own dogs I know how important it is to have peace of mind! My background in addition to pet care and sitting has also involved working with herding dogs on ranches as well as many years of horse, goat, and chicken care! Animals have always been a part of my life and I look forward to using my experience to help you and your animals. SAFETY, COMFORT, and FUN are my highest priorities! I work as a full time artist and walk dogs part time. Typically Sunday through Wednesday are my available days! I’m happy to accommodate your schedule as much as possible. Safety is the priority. Before any walks I will check with you about any safety concerns such as whether your dog has behavioral issues, escapes out the door or out of their collar, or any joint pain or physical limitations they may have. I will tend to stick to routes they are familiar with as this is usually the safest route.

About: Upon having taken care of pets for quite some time now. I have learned that all animals need love and compassion like us. I have cared for a variety of animals from mice to snakes and cats to goats. All of the time learning what to do and not to do with every animal. I've always had animals in my life ever since I was a little and I loved to care for them. I was a foster parent for cats a few years back but had to stop when we moved. I've own a few dogs and enjoy the company they have to give to us. I would be more than happy to take care of your babies and treat them as my own.

Tim is very responsive and understanding. We have a new rescue from the shelter who is still getting used to her new environment. He was not only kind and patient but also willing to come and meet her so that she could get used to him before an upcoming dog sitting with her. She warmed up to him wonderfully and didn’t even look timid when he took her on a walk.
