Pet care experience

Experienced pet-sitter/pet artist

Hello and howdy! I am indebted to animals for all they have done for me and taught me over the years. Currently, I have a lack of fuzzy friends in my life, so would be delighted to spend a little time with your critters. I hold a valid red cross dog and cat first aid/cpr certification, have experience as a pet sitter through Trusted Housesitters, have had many varieties of pets throughout my life, volunteer at the animal shelter, and was a professional pet sitter/pet care provider in Asheville, North Carolina. Here is a review of my work from the pet care business owner, Caroline, there: "As a pet sitting business owner, I can confidently say that Tim is one of the best! Tim is one of those rare people who consistently goes above and beyond in his care, without hesitation. His love for animals is genuine and immediately apparent. He’s also an incredibly talented artist, and if you’re one of his lucky clients, you might even receive a funny yet impressive portrait of your fur babies. A true gem of a gift you will want to laminate and put on your wall! Tim was previously part of my team, and I truly miss having him. He was one of our clients’ favorite house sitters for a reason, he’s just that good. Don’t hesitate for a second to hire him. And if anyone would like a personal reference, I’m more than happy to speak with you directly. You can contact me through the email listed on my business website, WNC Pet Care." I am also an experienced gardener and plant lover. In addition, I am currently working on a graphic novel about a canine revolution, so a portrait of your pooch might appear in the story :).

Safety, trust & environment

I typically take dogs on 1-2 walks a day, and like to take breaks from whatever I'm doing to pet them and tell them how cute they are. A little playtime as well. With cats I try to do a little play break a couple times a day, as well as brushing them, giving them treats.

Tim was amazing! It seems our animals loved him, Dakota sleeping with him at night and such. I was actually able to enjoy my trip knowing that he was caring for them. His kindness and attention to leaving the house ready for our return was something I never experienced before. We will definitely be using his services again! Thank you!

Let me start by saying that Tim is the best! He was available on short notice to walk my pup while I was working extra long days this week. He gave SO much care and attention to her, and it really showed when I came home from work and she was contently napping :) he took the time to send detailed updates and adorable photos of one happy pup. Highly recommend Tim, and will definitely rebook next time I need help!

Excellent! Would definitely recommend. He was great with updates including photos and continued all her routines! Our place was also spotless when we came home with fresh sheets on the bed. Thanks Tim. Chula already misses you.

Tim is very responsive and understanding. We have a new rescue from the shelter who is still getting used to her new environment. He was not only kind and patient but also willing to come and meet her so that she could get used to him before an upcoming dog sitting with her. She warmed up to him wonderfully and didn’t even look timid when he took her on a walk.

I currently am balancing between remote freelance illustration work and some day jobs as a substitute teacher. My schedule is mostly flexible but there may be some days where I am out of the house ifI am house sitting - morning to mid afternoon (7-8hrs max) other days I’d be home most of the time.

Any medication, allergies, health needs are very important to know about. Also how long they like to walk, when they like to eat, and what their aggressiveness or tolerance for other dogs and kids may be. Do they like to cuddle or prefer some distance?
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
