Skills

20 years of experience
Oral medication administration
First aid/CPR
Senior dog experience
Special needs dog experience

Safety, trust & environment

I typically take dogs on 3 walks a day, and like to take breaks from whatever I'm doing to pet them and tell them how cute they are. A little playtime as well. With cats I try to do a little play break a couple times a day if they show interest.

Information Tim B. would like to know about your pet

Any medication, allergies, health needs are very important to know about. Also how long they like to walk, when they like to eat, and what their aggressiveness or tolerance for other dogs and kids may be. Do they like to cuddle or prefer some distance?

A typical day

Walks, pets, maybe sketch your pet if there is time. Playtime and treatz! Pets, baby talk, and singing songs about how fuzzy their butts may be featured as well.

Pet care experience

Hello and howdy! My name is Tim and I have landed in Santa Fe after traveling the country for a few months, working remotely on freelance projects as I prepare to start an art therapy masters program this fall. I am indebted to animals for all they have done for me and taught me over the years. Currently, I have a lack of fuzzy friends in my life, so would be delighted to spend a little time with your critters. I hold a valid red cross dog and cat first aid/cpr certification, have experience as a pet sitter through Trusted Housesitters, have many varieties of pets throughout my life, volunteer at the animal shelter, and was a professional pet sitter/pet care provider in Asheville, North Carolina. Here is a review of my work from the pet care business owner, Caroline, there: "As a pet sitting business owner, I can confidently say that Tim is one of the best! Tim is one of those rare people who consistently goes above and beyond in his care, without hesitation. His love for animals is genuine and immediately apparent. He’s also an incredibly talented artist, and if you’re one of his lucky clients, you might even receive a funny yet impressive portrait of your fur babies. A true gem of a gift you will want to laminate and put on your wall! Tim was previously part of my team, and I truly miss having him. He was one of our clients’ favorite house sitters for a reason, he’s just that good. Don’t hesitate for a second to hire him. And if anyone would like a personal reference, I’m more than happy to speak with you directly. You can contact me through the email listed on my business website, WNC Pet Care." I am also an experienced gardener and plant lover. In addition, I am currently working on a graphic novel about a canine revolution, so a portrait of your pooch might appear in the story :).

Tim has taken care of our pup many times, always without issue. As a devoted dog parent himself, Tim is tuned in to the needs and emotions of dogs to an uncommon extent. I fully recommend him as a dog sitter. Kind, patient, and attentive, your dog will be in good hands with Tim.
