I work full time in Espanola, but have relatively flexible hours to fit in morning check ins and staying overnight into my schedule. Midday breaks are not possible during my working days, unfortunately.

I have five lizards at home that I absolutely adore, they aren’t reactive to the presence of other animals, so they won’t be bothered by your lovely critters. They are also very low maintenance, and don’t seem to notice when I’m not around and don’t get jealous if I’m staying with your pets at their homes.

I love all dogs, big and small! Before caring for an animal I like to know their personal preferences, no matter how bizarre or unique. I'd also ask about their normal behaviors and personality in order to know how to best care for them.
A typical day
I love going on long walks and hikes and would love to take your pup along for the adventure! Depending on your pet's interests I'd be happy to take them swimming, to a dog park or even for a drive if that's their favorite activity!

I grew up surrounded by all sorts of animals; large dogs, livestock, reptiles and exotic parrots, which makes me super comfortable around all matter of species. I would love to care for your furry, feathered and scaly friends! I work professionally in animal care and have experience with all matter of exotic and domestic animals. Working in zoos and rehabilitation centers has given me a lot of experience spotting any health care concerns as well as being comfortable in emergency situations and providing medical care. I am looking forward to caring for your critters!

Once again Amanda was a wonderful sitter. Our kitty was clearly so relaxed when we returned from our travels. We got updates and photos, and she even took out the dirty litter on her final visit before we got home. Amanda is our go-to kitty sitter from here on out.
Amanda has been the pillar of patience with Duke. We have been slowly introducing her with us on walks and in our home. She has been kind, patient, thoughtful and truly wonderful to us and Duke.

Amanda was obviously such a great sitter. Our kitty, Indra, is a very snuggly cat and if you leave her alone for a day she is desperate for attention by the time you get back. When we returned from our trip we could tell Indra was happy to see us, but she wasn’t desperate for attention. She clearly got so many snuggles from Amanda, beyond even what her pictures showed. Indra was obviously well cared for and loved while we were away. We feel so comfortable asking Amanda to watch her again!
