“Brooke was phenomenal. I feel lucky to have found her and think she's an absolute gem on this app. I will definitely be using her again to take care of Luna, would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter! It was a huge relief to know that Luna was being so well attended to. She seemed really happy and like she settled in with Brooke right away and Brooke's communication was amazing. I received lots of updates and photos.”

“It was wonderful getting videos of my dog Clio having a great time staying with Allegra and family—and then to get back to a happy and healthy Clío awaiting me. Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve had 3 dogs of my own and have cared for many more! I’m communicative, dependable, and will make your dog feel safe and comfortable. I just might become your dog’s new best friend! I work from home so your pet can have company all day long! I am active and go for long walks every day and hikes most weekends. I live right near the river trail and Patrick Smith park! If your pet likes adventuring I’ll take them with me! I have a fenced in backyard! I have no other pets in the house so your dog will be king/queen of the house while they’re here! I only book pet(s) from one family at a time.

About: I offer thoughtful, detail oriented pet care with a strong focus on consistency, safety, and communication. I’m comfortable caring for senior pets, managing routines, and providing a calm presence for animals that may be anxious or sensitive to change. I am also comfortable with medication management. I take the responsibility of being in someone’s home seriously and aim to create a seamless experience both for pets and their owners. You can expect clear communication, reliability, and a high level of respect for your space. My dog, Tessie, is so important to me so I treat your pets with as much love and care that I would want her to have. My work experience includes firefighter/paramedic, ER nurse, clinic work, and am certified in Pet First Aid. I am the Clinical Director at a local free clinic. This allows me to have flexible but predictable hours each week. Because of this I can provide consistent, punctual visits with compassionate care for your pets. For house sitting I can make mid day visits so that your pets are not alone for longer than needed. I cater each experience to the needs of you and your pet. I prefer to have clear communication of your preferences so that I can ensure that you are as happy with the visit as your pets are. For house sitting, I stay in the home so pets can remain in their familiar space with minimal disruption. I follow their usual feeding, walking, and medication schedules, provide companionship throughout the day and evening, and ensure the home is cared for as well (lights, plants, mail, basic tidiness). My goal is to maintain a calm, consistent presence so pets feel safe and relaxed while their owners are away. For in home drop-ins, I provide feeding, fresh water, litter box or yard clean up, medications if needed, and quality time with each pet. I tailor each visit to the pet’s energy level and personality including playtime, short walks, or quiet companionship. I also provide updates after each visit so owners feel connected and reassured. For dog walking, I focus on safe, structured walks that match your dog’s pace and needs. I prioritize leash safety, positive reinforcement, and a calm walking experience. Walks can include neighborhood routes or familiar areas your dog enjoys, or local dog parks, and I always ensure they return home settled, hydrated, and comfortable.
“Leahlani Was fantastic. She took great care of my pup and was very responsive with communication. Sam had a ton of fun during his visit, and I picked him up happy and very tired from all the playing he got to do.”

“Clearly had activities planned with the doggo. Her dog oatmeal got along with mine at the meet and greet, and from photos seemed to be getting along during the stay as well. Communicative and friendly, would use again”

“Ari had probably his best stay ever with a sitter at Cressendra's. He was welcomed and understood and photographed (*great* photos!) and - although often skittish with other dogs - was exuberantly engaged with Amigo from the beginning. Cress is communicative, flexible, truly cares about the dogs, 'gets' them. A great photographer. A stellar person. Will definitely leave Ari with her again if she will have him!”

“Christina did a great job with our pup. She was extremely communicative and allowed my girlfriend and I to enjoy a day trip to the caverns/Guadalupe mountains with ease of mind.”

“Patricia, her husband Sam are ideal dog sitters. They offer 100% dog sense, a yard that our border collie, Olli, could run around in and enjoy, and friends for Olli - Gila and Amber - two lovely dogs. Olli was taken for a run and allowed to sleep where he wanted. (important to us because he roams at night) Their home is calm and relaxed and dog friendly! Worth the trip from Santa Fe to their home near Pojoaque.”

“Calista and her roommates were amazing! They loved having my pups! With her professional expertise in animal care I felt very safe leaving them with her. She kept me updated everyday and whenever I asked with pics and videos! I can’t thank them enough! Highly recommended 100%”

About: I’ve been a dog owner for over 10 years and have experience caring for both small and large breeds. I grew up with a dachshund and now have a Bernedoodle, so I’m comfortable with everything from little lap dogs to energetic, larger pups. I know that every dog has their own personality and routine, and I always do my best to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or just hanging out on the couch, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at. I’ll care for your pet like they’re one of my own and keep you updated with photos and messages along the way! I provide attentive, reliable pet care tailored to each dog's individual needs. Services include walks, playtime, feeding, fresh water, administering basic medications if needed, potty breaks, companionship, and plenty of love and attention. I enjoy keeping dogs active through outdoor play, neighborhood walks, and enrichment activities while also respecting the routines and preferences that help them feel comfortable. My home has a secure fenced backyard where dogs can safely run, explore, and burn off energy under supervision. I've been a dog owner for over 10 years and have experience caring for both small and large breeds. I previously owned a Dachshund and currently have a friendly Bernedoodle, giving me firsthand experience with different personalities, energy levels, and care requirements. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I've spent years looking after pets for family and friends, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I understand the importance of clear communication, consistency, and treating every pet like a member of the family. I work from home, which allows me to spend the majority of the day with the pets in my care. This means they'll receive frequent potty breaks, regular exercise, lots of attention, and very little time left alone. My flexible schedule allows me to stick to your pet's normal routine as closely as possible, helping them feel comfortable, secure, and happy while you're away. I believe every pet deserves patience, affection, and dependable care, and I strive to make them feel like part of my own family from the moment they arrive. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor play and will always follow your pet’s routine, feeding schedule, and any special instructions. Whether we’re playing, walking, or relaxing at home, I’ll treat your dog like one of my own and keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages while you’re away.
“Christopher was a very reliable sitter who communicated clearly and definitely has a lot of experience! Our pup loved boarding with Christopher and we loved knowing that she was safe and happy!”

“Good communication, smooth drop off and pick up, reasonable rate. Was very welcoming to Nala and made her comfortable with other dogs Will see her in our future trips through Sante Fe”

“What a guy! Iosif took great care of our senior dog during our last minute weekend away. He took care to send pictures and gave updates even though it was just a quick overnighter. Super flexible and accommodating with pick up and drop off times. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“David is a true dog lover. Our two pups quickly bonded with him and his mellow dog, Sprex, who provided great companionship both at home sleeping on David’s bed and walking on leash with the “pack” in nearby parks. We definitely will use David (and Sprex) again.”

Lily is a wonderful and attentive doggie-sitter! Our girl got along beautifully with her and her furry family, and had so much fun while she stayed there. Lily sent great photo updates and videos throughout our girl's stay, and it was clear how much she enjoyed her own doggie vacation while we were away. We look forward to booking with Lily again.

Joy was great! She responded quickly and was able to Accommodate my dog Smokey with short notice. She was extremely kind and very sensitive to his needs. Her home was very clean and welcoming. Smokey loved his stay there. Well definitely book with Joy again should we ever need boarding in SF again.

David took excellent care of my dog Lizzie with no issues at all. He sent photos & videos daily and kept me updated on how she was doing. It is great he has a calm dog to be a companion , too. It was such a relief to know she was being well taken care of while I was away.

Gavin is absolutely amazing. He was amazing with our boy and so communicative . Finding someone who takes such great pride in their role as caregiver for pets is special. Fur babies are our children and Gavin takes it to heart. I guarantee you won’t find anyone who loves and cares for them as much like we as owners do. Thank you Gavin!!
Mark took such good care of my cat Yosemite while I was away. Through daily photos I could tell Yosemite was loved, entertained, and happy. Mark has such a positive energy and made sure to ask all the right questions beforehand to ensure Yosemite had the best care and easiest transition possible. I highly recommend Mark for pet-sitting!!

Brooke was an amazing dog sitter for our furry friend. She sent us pictures of Winnie doing all the things that let us know she was happy and settled while we were gone. I would highly recommend Brooke and I’m sure we will be booking a stay for Winnie there again!

Ari had probably his best stay ever with a sitter at Cressendra's. He was welcomed and understood and photographed (*great* photos!) and - although often skittish with other dogs - was exuberantly engaged with Amigo from the beginning. Cress is communicative, flexible, truly cares about the dogs, 'gets' them. A great photographer. A stellar person. Will definitely leave Ari with her again if she will have him!

Austin is a great Dog sitter! I had to find a sitter for my senior dog last minute and was anxious about leaving her with someone I didn’t know. But it was obvious she was in good hands right away. I got lots of pictures of my dog through out the trip and he was always very responsive with his communication. Will definitely use again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NM ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
