I work from home, allowing me to offer a highly attentive and flexible schedule. Your dog’s day is thoughtfully shaped around their established routines for meals, walks, companionship, and rest—never forced into a rigid or overcrowded timetable. – I intentionally limit the number of bookings I accept so each dog receives unrushed, individualized care and consistent presence throughout the day. This allows me to maintain a calm, predictable environment and respond thoughtfully to each dog’s needs. – My approach is designed to feel steady, considered, and reliable—providing peace of mind for you and a sense of ease, security, and familiarity for your dog.

Safety, trust & environment
💛 A safe, and loving environment for your dog Safety, trust, and calm are at the heart of the care I provide. – My home includes a large sun-filled studio space with access to a spacious, securely fenced and gated backyard. Dogs can safely move between indoors and outdoors through a doggie door, allowing for plenty of fresh air and gentle movement throughout the day. If your dog uses a crate or has specific containment preferences, I’m happy to follow whatever routine feels most familiar and supportive for them. – I live on a quiet, peaceful street in a safe neighborhood, with access to a beautiful nearby walking path. I offer structured, mindful walks that are tailored to each dog’s comfort level, energy, and needs. – I care for every dog as an individual and follow your established routines as closely as possible. I’m very attentive to doors, gates, leashes, and overall environment safety, and I always communicate clearly if anything out of the ordinary comes up. – For daycare and boarding, I provide clean, comfortable orthopedic bedding suitable for small, medium, and large dogs. I also keep extra leashes, dog wipes, poop bags, plant-based deodorizing pet spray, toys, and a ChuckIt ball set on hand. – My goal is to offer a clean, nurturing, low-stress environment where your dog feels relaxed, secure, and genuinely cared for while you’re away.

Information Stephanie L. would like to know about your pet
📝 To provide the best possible care, it’s helpful to know: – • Your dog’s daily routine and energy levels (feeding, walks, rest) • Any health considerations or medications • Behavioral preferences or sensitivities • Triggers or situations that may cause stress • Leash manners and recall reliability • Emergency vet contact information – Clear communication allows me to create a safe, predictable, and supportive experience for your dog while you’re away.
A typical day
☀️ A calm, consistent day designed around your dog A typical day in my care is gentle, structured, and centered around your dog’s existing routine. – Mornings begin with a relaxed check-in, outdoor time, and a walk or movement that matches your dog’s energy and needs. Meals are served according to your instructions, followed by quiet companionship or rest. – Throughout the day, I offer attentive presence rather than constant stimulation. Dogs enjoy time outdoors in the secure fenced yard, appropriate movement and play, and plenty of opportunities to relax and settle. I’m home for much of the day, which allows me to closely observe behavior, respond to needs, and maintain a steady, consistent rhythm. – Evenings are unhurried and grounding, with another walk or outdoor time, dinner, and a calm wind-down before rest. My intention is for dogs to feel secure, relaxed, and at ease — not overstimulated or disrupted. – “Fun” looks different for every dog, so activities are always tailored to each dog’s age, temperament, and preferences. – Activities may include: • Calm, structured walks on nearby paths • Safe outdoor play time in the fenced backyard • Gentle or more active play based on energy level • Relaxed companionship and quiet presence – I don’t rely on constant activity or high-energy play all day. Instead, I focus on balanced engagement — a healthy mix of play, movement, enrichment, and rest — so dogs feel regulated, content, and well cared for.

From childhood through adulthood, animals have always been part of my life, including personally caring for multiple dogs and cats, as well as animals while living abroad in Bali, Indonesia—where attentive, mindful care and environmental awareness were essential. – My primary focus is private in-home dog boarding and limited doggy daycare, allowing me to offer consistent companionship, a calm nervous-system-friendly environment, and truly individualized attention. I intentionally limit the number of dogs in my care so each dog can fully settle, relax, and feel at ease—never rushed, overstimulated, or overlooked. – I’m certified in holistic health, mind/body somatics, and breathwork with a trauma-informed lens. This means I’m especially attuned to nervous systems, subtle behavioral cues, routines, emotional regulation, and safety. My care is particularly well-suited for dogs who are sensitive, anxious, elderly, or adjusting to change. – This is boutique, quality-focused care—designed to feel steady, thoughtful, and deeply supportive for both you and your dog. ––– 🐾 What Sets My Care Apart • Work-from-home dog sitter with a securely fenced yard • Calm, grounded presence dogs respond to quickly • Excellent for dogs who value routine, familiarity, and predictability • Attentive observation with proactive, thoughtful care • Clear, dependable communication and updates • Respectful, low-stimulus environment • Pet CPR & First Aid certified • Very large, spacious backyard with outdoor doggie lounge (see photos) • Sun-filled doggie studio space with large doggie door (see photos) • Orthopedic, washable pet beds (small, medium, large) with blankets • Stainless steel feeding bowls, leashes, toys, grooming basics on hand – This is quality—not quantity—care. Dogs have access to a secure sunroom/studio for lounging and rest, with a large doggie door opening to an expansive, fully fenced backyard. A front side patio provides additional fresh-air space (see photos). – I’m also a mom to two kind, animal-loving boys (ages 8 and 12) who have grown up around dogs, cats, birds, and fish. They are gentle, respectful, and understand boundaries. They are mostly at school and are not caretakers. All animals in our home are treated with respect and consent, and quiet companionship is always honored. ––– 🐕 MY SERVICES OFFERED (Dog-Only): 🏡 Boarding & Doggie Daycare (Primary Services) I specialize in overnight dog boarding and dog daycare in a private home, offering a low-volume alternative to traditional kennels or group-style daycare. – Dog boarding and daycare is offered in my home for a very limited number of dogs (typically 1–2 at a time). Dogs enjoy a clean, hygienic, serene environment with access to a large, securely fenced yard and a predictable daily rhythm. – Doggy daycare is available in a private, low-volume setting—generally one or two dogs per day if they are compatible—to maintain calm, attentiveness, and safety. – Available upon arrival: • Orthopedic washable pet beds (small, medium, large) with blankets • Stainless steel feeding bowls • Extra leashes, toys, brushes, poop bags • Pet wipes and plant-derived deodorizing dog spray • Light grooming for small and medium-sized dogs A meet & greet is optional to all boarding and daycare bookings. ––– 🚪 Walks and Drop-Ins (Limited Availability) Ideal for pets who need feeding, walks, playtime, or check-ins. I’m punctual, attentive, and communicative. I offer dog walking and drop-in visits in a limited capacity to maintain high-quality care for boarding and daycare clients. – 🐈 Cat Care (Limited Availability) From playful kittens to senior cats who prefer quiet companionship—I’m especially skilled with various feline personalities and subtle cues. – 🦜🐠🦎 Other Care (Limited Availability) (If you have birds, fish, or other small animals, I’m happy to care for them too—just ask!) ––– 💛 MY APPROACH & PRICING I focus on quality, not quantity. My care is intentionally low-volume and highly attentive. Dogs in my care receive consistency, calm, and genuine presence—never rushed or overstimulated service. – My pricing reflects private, individualized care, limited availability, and the level of attention I provide. This is not a high-volume or rotation-based setting. Clients choose my services for peace of mind, reliability, and the quality of care their dog receives. – Meet & greets are always encouraged to ensure the right fit. ––– 🤍 BEST FIT/ NOT A FIT My care is an excellent fit for dogs who: • Thrive in calm, predictable environments • Are comfortable with structure and routine • Enjoy individualized attention and companionship • Do well in a low-volume, private home setting • Are sensitive, anxious, elderly, or adjusting to change • Are potty-trained and comfortable with basic obedience – My care may not be the best fit for dogs who: • Require constant high-energy play or group-style daycare • Are not comfortable in a calm, low-stimulation environment • Are not potty-trained or have ongoing marking behaviors • Need intensive behavioral training beyond routine support • Do best in large, high-volume or highly social pack settings – If you’re unsure whether your dog is a good fit, I’m always happy to have a conversation. Reviews

Stephanie has a wonderfully large space for dogs to play outdoors and get plenty of exercise. One of our pets was recovering from an unexpected illness and needed medications and some very specific feeding instructions which was managed very diligently. We are very happy with the care our dogs received here.

Great stay for our dog again. We will definitely come back.

Stephanie is a fantastic sitter. She is very perceptive, caring and accommodating. She was very conscientious about finding out about our dog's particular personality and needs and meeting them. He got great care and we can't recommend her enough.

Stephanie took great care of Oban, and we'd definitely book with her again! Her location is very convenient in Santa Fe, and Oban really enjoyed spending time with her and her kids. It was reassuring knowing he had a comfortable and quiet place to rest and someone keeping an eye on him throughout the day. Oban came home happy and relaxed. I would highly recommend Stephanie to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!
