About: I offer thoughtful, detail oriented pet care with a strong focus on consistency, safety, and communication. I’m comfortable caring for senior pets, managing routines, and providing a calm presence for animals that may be anxious or sensitive to change. I am also comfortable with medication management. I take the responsibility of being in someone’s home seriously and aim to create a seamless experience both for pets and their owners. You can expect clear communication, reliability, and a high level of respect for your space. My dog, Tessie, is so important to me so I treat your pets with as much love and care that I would want her to have. My work experience includes firefighter/paramedic, ER nurse, clinic work, and am certified in Pet First Aid. I am the Clinical Director at a local free clinic. This allows me to have flexible but predictable hours each week. Because of this I can provide consistent, punctual visits with compassionate care for your pets. For house sitting I can make mid day visits so that your pets are not alone for longer than needed. I cater each experience to the needs of you and your pet. I prefer to have clear communication of your preferences so that I can ensure that you are as happy with the visit as your pets are. For house sitting, I stay in the home so pets can remain in their familiar space with minimal disruption. I follow their usual feeding, walking, and medication schedules, provide companionship throughout the day and evening, and ensure the home is cared for as well (lights, plants, mail, basic tidiness). My goal is to maintain a calm, consistent presence so pets feel safe and relaxed while their owners are away. For in home drop-ins, I provide feeding, fresh water, litter box or yard clean up, medications if needed, and quality time with each pet. I tailor each visit to the pet’s energy level and personality including playtime, short walks, or quiet companionship. I also provide updates after each visit so owners feel connected and reassured. For dog walking, I focus on safe, structured walks that match your dog’s pace and needs. I prioritize leash safety, positive reinforcement, and a calm walking experience. Walks can include neighborhood routes or familiar areas your dog enjoys, or local dog parks, and I always ensure they return home settled, hydrated, and comfortable.

“Our dogs LOVED their time with Katie. The meet and greet helped ease my worries (our one dog is a young puppy who hadn't been away from home before). We were able to see how she handles the dogs, her procedures for meal time and play time and were so impressed. Our dogs stayed two nights and we loved the photos via phone she sent us of our dogs happily playing and lounging with the others. We've not had a better boarding experience, thank you Katie!”

She took him to the vet right away and managed his care for the remainder of his time there before we were able to come home. I feel really lucky to have found Tami and to have had her serve as a trusted surrogate through our dog's medical issue, if you're looking for a home-like environment with a caretaker who will love your dog the same way you do, I can't recommend Tami highly enough.”
