“Michael is the BEST. He took care of our house and our cats with patience, humor, respect, and care. He sent photos, funny info, and kept us updated on their antics. A couple of things went wrong in the house while we were away (nothing to do with Michael) and he handled them with complete grace. I felt at ease while we were away and would not hesitate to hire Michael again. And again!! We recommend him 200%!!”

“Sean was great with Asher and took wonderful care of him! He sent some pictures to keep me up to date and was a good communicator. I certainly recommend him and will reach out again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Noelle was wonderful with our cat and large dog, and I really appreciated her great communication throughout. She was observant in caring for them, checked in regularly as we'd agreed, and was a very considerate houseguest while we were away. This was our first time entrusting our pets and home to another person, and it really put me at ease to come home to happy animals. We look forward to working with her again soon!”

“Stephanie stayed with our baby girl Zoe for the second time and we were just as happy as the first time. She is easy to deal with, confident, calm, and kind to our Zoe. And on top of taking good care of Zoe, she also left the house spotless. Definitely use Stephanie!”

“I highly recommend Charlie as a dog sitter! He took wonderful care of our grandma Carlee over the busy 4th of July weekend. At 15, Carlee is very low maintenance but has some special needs. Charlie was attentive to all of them and we especially appreciated seeing her so comfortable and cozy in the updates he provided whenever we requested them. We weren't able to respond immediately to early questions about her care, but it was clear that Charlie had everything under control. When we returned home, Carlee was safe, happy, and clearly well-cared for. That's all that truly matters, and we're so grateful for Charlie's excellent service!”

“Thoughtful and great with our puppy!”

About: I cared for my yellow Labrador, Sparky, for 12 years. From puppyhood to his senior years, our daily walks, playtime, and belly rubs were some of my favorite ways to connect and spend quality time together. Over the years, friends, family members and neighbors have also trusted me to care for their pets while they were away. Whether it’s walking, feeding, or providing companionship during vacations, I’ve always treated every pet like my own, with patience and love. Your pet’s safety, comfort and happiness are my top priorities. I understand how important it is to have someone reliable and caring looking after your furry family member, and I’m here to provide that peace of mind. I work full time during the week, so I’m available for walks after 5pm on weekdays and anytime on weekends. I am also available for house visits and stays from Wednesday evenings after I get out of work through Sunday evenings. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space with the same respect and care I would my own. I understand how important it is to maintain your pet’s routine in a familiar environment, and I always aim to create a calm, comfortable, and safe experience. During visits, I follow your instructions closely, ensure your pet is fed, exercised, and given plenty of attention, and keep you updated with regular check-ins. Daily walks were one of my favorite bonding activities with my dog, Sparky, so I truly understand how important they are for both physical health and mental stimulation. Whether your pup loves a leisurely stroll or a more energetic walk, I tailor each outing to their pace and personality. Safety is my top priority. I make sure the leash is secure, stay alert to surroundings making sure it is a safe area to walk in, and follow your dog’s routine and preferences. I make sure walks are not only safe but also enjoyable, giving your dog a chance to explore, exercise and return home happy and relaxed.

About: I've owned dogs since I was 10 years old and had three (2 pitbull mixes and 1 doberman) while being teenager. I assisted with feeding, toileting, walking, and bathing them. I am now 33 years old and I own two cats who I care for (feeding, entertaining, cleaning up after, etc.). Cats arguably have different needs :P One of my hobbies is to watch dog training videos and I don't know if I can put that to good use on your pets, but maybe you'll come back and find your pooch knows some new tricks (or manners)! At the moment, I am not working at a job, so my availability is quite open to the needs of my clients and their pets. I will not be able to bring your furbabies to my home, but given the tools at your home, I will be able to care for them to the best of my ability there! I will ensure your pets have the food and water they need, have a clean litterbox (or take them out), and ensure that the home is safe for the pet in question. I would do a sweep of the house and ensure nothing is out of place or has been messed with (by your pet) before continuing with the duties you've requested me for!

“Alexandra is an excellent pet sitter. I highly recommend her. She did an awesome job. I had peace of mind knowing she was there. I would definitely reach out to her again if I need a pet sitter. She sent me pictures and was always letting me know what was going on. Truly remarkable!!”

“Amanda is awesome! She took great care of our senior dog while we were on vacation. She was extremely patient and attentive to her needs, gave her all her meds, and plenty of walks and attention. She was also very communicative which helped ease our anxiety about leaving our dog. I highly recommend her!”

About: Small breeds up to 30 lbs. I'm a passionate pet sitter who adores animals, providing exceptional care privately for the last 13 years, and with Rover for the last 5 years. Ever since I was young I noticed I tend to attract animals and vice versa. Over the years I turned my passion into a hobby and began caring for friends/family's pets, as well as having my own. I believe pets are more than just companions -they're cherished members of the family; my empathetic nature helps me understand pet parents' concerns, making me the perfect companion for your pets. Whether it's a cat, dog, or exotic pet, I treat them as my own. I will make sure your fur babies have a Pawsome time!!! I have a flexible schedule during the week, and available all weekend-which allows me to provide individualized care for your pets. Serving Passaic and Bergen counties. I am Pet-CPR Certified by The American Red Cross A meet and greet is required before the service, to ensure your pet and I are a great match. I will take all the sanitary precautions during our meet and greet and will be diligent in following your instructions to provide the best care.

“Rachel was FANTASTIC with our 70+ pound Rottweiler/Husky with separation anxiety. She played and engaged with him when his energy was up, and let him lounge and rest when he needed it. We got frequent photo and text updates (and she takes really great doggy photos), and she even did an art project with him. He was happy and relaxed when we got home. Would definitely use her again for dog sitting in our home and might event try boarding him in her home when the need comes up. Thanks Rachel!”

About: I've loved animals my whole life and have been around cats in one way or another for most of my life. I grew up with multiple cats and I've been taking care of my cat Cole since adopting her in 2018 as a kitten. I've been volunteering at a cat shelter for several years as a socializer and love visiting as many cats as I can when I'm there (I always stay longer than my shift). I love them dearly, always want what's best for them, and would treat your cat with the same care concern I'd treat for my own. I'd be happy to provide drop-in visits for feedings/etc or to provide your cat with some play/social time! I love meeting new cats and taking in their unique quirks! While I've had a lot more exposure to felines, I'd also happily walk/spend time with your dog. I've had a lot of good experiences with them as well - me and my landlady's dog are good pals! I'm between jobs at the moment, so I am fairly flexible in terms of availability with some notice. Sunday is my day for volunteering, though I can potentially swap my shift in an urgent situation. I'm happy to arrange for shorter/longer visits on single/recurring basis. Can assist with feedings, playtime or just hang out and provide them a loving lap! Also happy to provide photo/video updates of your fur babies to help put your mind(s) at ease!

About: First time using Rover? Use code YONGL37332 for $20 off your first booking! As a parent of two lovely cats, I have consistently provided attentive care for both my family and friends' pets, ensuring their well-being through meticulous feeding, walking, maintenance, and, crucially, fostering joy and connection through engaging play sessions. With generous weekend availability and flexible weekday hours, I am well-suited to offer dedicated and compassionate care to both cats and dogs. Currently, I am not accomodating any pet care in my home. I prioritize creating a familiar environment for pets by adhering to their routines. This includes maintaining consistent feeding schedules, ensuring clean and comfortable spaces, and engaging in activities that align with their preferences.

“Monica was a great choice for house sitting our three boys! She was responsive and sent updates daily. When we got home we could tell our guys had been well taken care of!”

“Denise was a great sitter! She had great communication, she was very friendly and my dog Marley really enjoyed her company. Your pet would be in good hands with Denise. Book her now! :)”

About: Hello! I’m Denise. I am a pet parent and have trained and raised small dogs for 20 years. I am currently raising a small dog that I care and love for so I understand the quality of proper care when a pet’s family is away. I plan to have my dog at home with your dog if you’re ok with it. Both dogs will eat, walk and play together freely. I don’t cage unless told otherwise. I work full time Monday to Friday, 9 - 5. I plan to pet sit weekends: Friday 12pm into the evening and all day Saturday and Sunday. I live in an apartment so I will plan frequent walks around the block and play time at local dog parks. Whatever the owner is open to is how I will host pets.

Saddle Brook pet parents share their Rover experiences
Melissa was amazing! So sweet. She kept me updated all weekend long with photos and videos. She went above and beyond during her stay at our house and took good care of our fur babies (and our house!). We will most definitely be booking Melissa again!

Lia is attentive and so caring with my three cats and senior dog. She’s extra communicative, sending pictures every day…often multiple times a day. I booked her for another stay before the first one was even over. I highly recommend her. ♥️

Taina watched our dog for 10 days while we were on vacation and she was great! Our dog generally doesn’t open up to anyone quickly and always barks at strangers, but she let Taina pet her belly the very first time they met which was such a pleasant suprise lol. She was great with our dog and kept updating us on the latest with her. We’d hire Taina for our dog again!

I highly recommend Charlie as a dog sitter! When we returned home, Carlee was safe, happy, and clearly well-cared for. That's all that truly matters, and we're so grateful for Charlie's excellent service!

Kimberly arrived right on time. She communicated very well while we were away. And left the house etc in perfect order! We will definitely use her again!!

Anxhela was an amazing dog sitter for us. She stayed at our house for the weekend. We were updated constantly. We are already talking about booking her again!

Lesly was wonderful with our little anxious pup Holly. Holly warmed up to her quickly and she was very attentive while giving her the space she needed. It was clear Holly had been well taken care of when we got home. Would definitely have her watch our puppy again!

Elizabeth was absolutely amazing while watching our 2 dogs and 2 cats while we were away! She gave us daily updates along with photos. She was very patient with them and gave them a lot of love and cuddles. I definitely recommend her and plan on rebooking her in the future if she is available!

Layla was great watching Gus for us. He can be a bit of a handful at 8 months old and she was communicative and took great care of him.

Kristina is an exceedingly thoughtful, responsible, and caring dog sitter. She was able to build trust and get cuddles and belly rubs from our two anxious and reactive rescue dogs. It was our first time leaving the dogs with someone and we were really worried they wouldn’t warm up to anyone new to them. Kristina agreed to scheduling walks for a few weeks to allow time for the dogs to get to know her. Her patience and gentle persistence paid off. I know the dogs were sad to see her go. We will definitely be scheduling her again for our next family vacation. Thank you, Kristina!
