About: What sets me apart is my experience caring for animals of all ages and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Last summer, I independently took care of my friend’s four dogs for an entire month, which included overnight stays and house sitting responsibilities. The dogs ranged from 1 to 10 years old, so I’m comfortable handling both energetic younger dogs and older dogs who may need extra patience and care. I’ve also been taking care of my own dog since I was 8 years old, giving me years of hands-on experience with daily care, walks, feeding, and attention. In addition, I have experience caring for less than week-old kittens on my own, which taught me how attentive, gentle, and responsible I need to be when caring for animals. During the school year, I attend school, but I have a very flexible schedule with my classes and plenty of availability before and after school as well as on weekends. During the summer, when I plan to do more pet sitting and dog walking, my schedule will be very open and flexible. I’m able to work around pet owners’ needs and can provide walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, and overnight care at a variety of times throughout the day. About: I have two pets of my own, a cat and a dog. I know the needs to take care of both of them and would find it easier to handle yours. Worked at a pet hotel for a couple weeks and dealt with a variety of dogs (even cats) and know that each pet can be different and I'm ready to accustomed to your pet to ensure they feel comfortable and safe! I currently work at a nightshift so I would prefer to work during the evening. Depending on my schedule I would be able to work nightshifts on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Wednesdays. About: I started my experience dog walking 2 years ago for a professor’s friend in Winchester, Virginia. Twice a week, I would walk her hyper pups. She then recommended me to her father, whose dog I began walking twice a week as well. From there, my mini business boomed through word of mouth. I began dog sitting in people’s homes as well for multiple individuals for varying time spans. Most of the dogs I interacted with were seniors and required extensive care. However, all dogs owners loved and recommended me to others! I still walk the original dogs and add in others as my schedule allows with two other jobs. Maddie was by far the best dog sitter. I have two golden retrievers that love to run, play fetch and go on hikes. She did all of the above and more. she sent me pictures, took the dogs hiking at the reservation, they went on 2 mile walks, played fetch and were very well taken care of. Great experience! Communication was easy and consistent, and I felt very comfortable leaving my pets in her care. She went above and beyond — Rocket is currently going through a hard time and she cooked fresh meals for Rocket every day and was able to get him to eat without vomiting, which has been a big challenge for him. She was also wonderful with Luna and made sure both of them were well cared for. I really appreciated the updates and photos while I was away. They were clearly happy and comfortable. My husband and I just came home with 2 puppies and were worried for our first day back to work. Michael made sure we had nothing to worry about.
