“Diana and Andrew took great care of our cat, visiting her twice a day as scheduled and checked in with us frequently on anything that might have been unusual (for instance, it was very hot so she checked in with us about turning on the AC out of concern). Would highly recommend and use again!”

About: Animals have been at the heart of my life for as long as I can remember. Over the years, friends, family, and neighbors have relied on me to care for their pets—from energetic puppies and curious kittens to sweet, gentle seniors. My experience spans every stage of a pet’s life: Puppy & Kitten Care: I’ve assisted with newborn litters, from bottle/supplement feeding to early litter box training and basic social habits. Active Adults: I have extensive experience with daily routines—interactive play, consistent feeding schedules, and plenty of long walks for dogs of all sizes. Senior & End-of-Life Care: Seniors hold a deeply special place in my heart (I’ve lovingly adopted two of my own since 2020!). I’ve also provided compassionate end-of-life care for a senior lab, prioritizing comfort, gentle routines, and peace of mind during tender transitions. Beyond cats and dogs, I’m also comfortable caring for birds and reptiles. Whether your pet needs high-energy playtime or soft, quiet companionship, I’ll treat them with the exact same love, patience, and devotion I give my own! After graduating from college, I moved to the Hackensack area with my boyfriend. I am currently unemployed and seeking a position at an elementary school for the 2026-2027 school year. During this period, I have all the time in the world to give to your pet! Above all, I treat your home and your pets with the utmost care, respect, and discretion. I know how much trust it takes to welcome someone into your space, which is why I honor your household rules, maintain a clean and secure environment, and treat your pets with the same unconditional love and safety I give my own. You can relax knowing your home is in thoughtful hands and your pets are receiving dedicated, affectionate care while you’re away.
“Peter was great and I would definitely book with him again. He was very thorough, prompt, and followed all of my instructions exactly. I really appreciated the detailed notes he left after each visit, and it was clear from his updates that he took his time and genuinely interacted with my animals instead of just rushing through the visits. He made me feel comfortable knowing my animals were taken care of, and everything was handled professionally from start to finish. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone reliable, attentive, and great with pets.”

About: Though it's been some time, I gained hands-on experience caring for my grandmother’s Golden Retriever when I was younger (ages 6-12). I handled everything from feeding and playtime to washing and general care. This early experience taught me responsibility and a deep understanding of dogs' needs. My background in caregiving and fitness also adds to my ability to provide attentive, active care, ensuring every dog feels loved and well-cared-for. As a second-year Physical Therapy student at the University of Washington, I'm currently on break with no classes, giving me ample time to dedicate to pet care. This break allows me to be flexible and fully available to assist with your dog care needs, ensuring your pet gets the attention and care they deserve! While I don't currently have a pet myself, my experience as a personal trainer and future Physical Therapist has taught me the importance of care, attention, and empathy. Just as I prioritize the well-being of my clients, I bring that same level of dedication to caring for pets. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I ensure that each dog receives personalized care, tailored to their unique needs, much like I do with my human clients.
About: I've had many pets in my life, I've raised 3 dogs and have two cats. I've given basic training to my cats and given senior care to many a dog. I'm in school virtually so I have a lot of flexibility within my schedule and am open to traveling for services. Owning cats also allows me to be free in case of emergencies (they are really understanding). My railroad style apartment was decorated with two frisky kittens in mind so my place is pretty tamper proof. It's easy to isolate them from the rest of the space when (or if) introducing guests and easy to navigate for them with adequate space for play/sleep/snacking or whatever their little hearts desire.

About: After moving from the UK and recently adopting a little pup from 10 weeks who’s now just under a year old, I’ve had lots of experience training, caring for and playing with energetic dogs! With dogs all throughout my childhood including my springer spaniel Meg, I will always look after your pup as if it were my own, tailoring the energy to exactly what they need. I’m available to walk your dog, have a play with them in your home or mine, or just drop in and feed them! I’m able to look after your pup on my days off from work so I can give them full care and attention! My husband also works from home regularly so will have lots of presence and get plenty of walks and plays in the area around you or our place. I am happy to look after your pup however you need for your home - playing in the yard, relaxing in the living room or just out on a walk, I can always be flexible!
About: I've cared for dogs for 18 years as an owner, so I know the day-to-day realities of feeding schedules, exercise needs, and reading a dog's mood. I also served as a foster caregiver, acting as the transition home between rescue organizations and a dog's new family — which means I'm comfortable with dogs who are anxious, adjusting to a new environment, or still learning house manners. I treat every dog in my care like they're my own, with patience and attention to their individual needs. And I have a sister with over 2 years of consistent, 5-star reviews in South Jersey - we're a dog lover household! Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I'm available weekday evenings and weekends (with occasional flexibility weekday mornings/afternoons too). This means I can offer reliable, consistent walks and visits without rushing, so your pet gets my full attention every time. Since I focus on walks and drop-in visits, I prioritize your home's security every visit — locking doors behind me, following any specific instructions you leave, and sticking closely to your pet's normal routine. I stay alert to their comfort and body language throughout, so they feel safe and at ease with me the whole time.

About: I have experience caring for and training my own dogs. I had one dog growing up and currently have another that I’ve trained and cared for daily. I truly enjoy being around dogs, spending time with them, and making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I always prioritize their health, happiness, and well-being, and I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and attention when caring for pets. As a college student currently on summer break, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I absolutely love dogs and enjoy spending time with them, whether it’s going for walks, playing, or simply providing companionship. I am a very caring, responsible, and attentive person, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to make sure pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. In my home, pets are treated like family. I have a securely fenced yard with plenty of space for dogs to run, play, and get exercise in a safe environment. My home is very dog friendly, clean, and welcoming, and I make sure pets receive lots of attention, affection, and supervision throughout the day. I also have an extra crate available if needed, as well as plenty of toys to keep pets entertained and comfortable. I follow each pet’s regular feeding, potty, exercise, and medication schedule to help them feel at home and maintain their routine. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, my priority is always their safety, happiness, and well being.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs for years through family and friends, and I’m always the person they trust to watch their pets. I genuinely love animals, and dogs tend to feel comfortable with me very quickly. I have experience with small and medium-sized dogs, and I’m comfortable adapting to different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I’m especially patient with more anxious or sensitive dogs. I have an anxious dog of my own, which has taught me how to read body language, build trust, and create a calm, safe environment. I’m very attentive and detail-oriented, so I always follow care instructions closely, whether it’s feeding schedules, medications, or specific routines. I can also help reinforce basic training like leash manners and structure during walks. My goal is to make every dog feel cared for, understood, and happy while giving owners complete peace of mind. I treat every dog like my own and always keep communication open and consistent. I’m available Thursday through Sunday, with the most flexibility on weekends. On Thursdays and Fridays, I work part-time and am home by early afternoon, so I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and evening care. I prioritize safety, trust, and clear communication above everything. I follow each pet’s routine closely and take the time to understand their individual needs, behaviors, and comfort levels. I have a fenced yard for safe outdoor time, as well as a very friendly Shihpoo who is used to being around other dogs. I always supervise interactions and make sure every dog feels comfortable and secure. I also have a pet camera at home for added monitoring, and a baby gate if a dog feels more comfortable in a smaller, more confined space. I’m especially mindful with more anxious dogs, as I have one of my own, so I understand the importance of patience and creating a calm, safe environment.
About: I have over two years of professional pet care experience working for Animal Loving Care (ALC) in New York City. During my time there, I worked as a dog walker, pet sitter, and in the dog daycare department, caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. The company even invited me to return after I moved to New Jersey, which I consider one of the greatest compliments to my work. I now provide reliable, loving, and personalized pet care in New Jersey. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. My availability: • House Sitting (Client’s Home): I am available on weekends to stay with your pet throughout the day and evening. I return early the following morning to continue their routine, ensuring they receive plenty of attention, companionship, walks, meals, and playtime. • Boarding in My Home: I can welcome pets into my home any day of the week, as long as they are friendly and comfortable around young children. • Dog Walking & Drop-In Visits: I am available seven days a week for walks, feeding, potty breaks, medication (if needed), playtime, and companionship. Depending on the time of day, I can accommodate visits with or without my son, depending on the schedule and your pet’s needs. I’m always happy to arrange a meet-and-greet before the first booking so you and your pet can get to know me. I treat every animal with patience, kindness, and the same love and respect I would give my own. I am a stay-at-home mom raising my two and a half year old son. I am available full time to care for your pet, taking him/her for walks, feeding it, and playing with them. We live in an apartment, but we have parks nearby, and there is plenty of green space right downstairs. My son is a calm child, and he likes animals. He doesn't hit, bite, or scratch, neither the animals nor us.
About: I have over 3 years of hands-on dog care experience, including working at two dog daycare/kennel facilities for approximately six months each. In these roles, I was responsible for supervising dogs of all sizes and temperaments, cleaning and sanitizing play areas, handling waste, bathing, brushing, de-shedding, and treating minor wounds. I am very familiar with dog body language and behavior. I can recognize signs of anxiety, stress, fear, overstimulation, and potential aggression, and I know how to respond calmly and safely. I have experience separating dog altercations and maintaining a controlled environment. I am also a dog owner of a Golden Retriever and a rescued Labrador Retriever. I raised my Golden Retriever from puppyhood, so I am highly experienced with puppy care, potty breaks, feeding schedules, and exercise needs. My Labrador was rescued with injuries, and I cared for him during recovery, including wound care and post-neutering recovery. I provide attentive, compassionate care and believe in building trust with every dog. I communicate clearly with pet parents and always prioritize safety, comfort, and emotional well-being. Dogs tend to bond with me quickly, and I take pride in creating a calm, loving, and structured environment Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I structure my schedule around walks, feedings, playtime, potty breaks, and rest periods. I am flexible, reliable, and able to accommodate early mornings, evenings, weekends, and recurring care needs. I prioritize safety, cleanliness, and routine at all times. I closely follow pet parents’ instructions, monitor behavior and body language, and maintain a calm environment. I properly supervise interactions, secure doors and leashes, administer basic care when needed, and provide regular updates to ensure trust and peace of mind.
About: I have been around animals since I was born. I have had several dogs as pets. They were/are all very well loved and taken care of. I trained our Zoe since she was a puppy. She knows all her basic commands and even a few tricks. I am comfortable with dogs or all sizes and age! I am a stay at home mom so I am always home! My priority will be your pet so that their needs are always met and satisfied. I have a big fenced in backyard. Your dog(s) are welcome on my furniture as well considering they will be part of my family while they will be with me.
About: I just spent a year caring for an adorable English Bulldog and it gave me the skills and wisdom I need to care for yours. Dogs require lots of love, attention and patience and that’s what I have to offer. I am currently working from home so I can help before work, during the day and in the evenings and weekends. I spend a lot of time at home so having a pup here to look after would be perfect! I will ensure that your pups are well taken care of and I will provide a clean, safe and comfortable environment where they’ll feel happy until your return.
About: I have extensive experience working in Veterinary Emergency Care, which has given me a strong understanding of animal behavior, safety, and how to recognize subtle changes in a pet’s well-being. I provide personalized boarding in my home and accept only one family at a time, allowing me to give each pet individualized attention in a calm, low-stress environment. I have experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, high-energy dogs, anxious pets, and dogs that require additional monitoring or support. I am also happy to reinforce training and routines that owners are already working on at home. I understand that being away from home can be stressful for some pets, so I do my best to maintain their normal routine and make their stay feel as familiar and comfortable as possible. Whether your dog sleeps in a crate, on a dog bed, on the couch, or in bed with their family, I will follow the routine you have established at home whenever possible. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, secure, and cared for while you’re away. I provide personalized care and keep my schedule flexible so that the pets in my care receive plenty of attention throughout the day. I rarely leave the house for more than an hour, and only occasionally for up to two hours if I need to run an errand. This allows me to provide regular potty breaks, playtime, walks, companionship, and plenty of supervision. Because I only host one family at a time, I am able to give each pet my full attention and maintain the routine they are used to at home. Whether your dog enjoys playing, going for walks, relaxing on the couch, sleeping in a crate, or curling up on the bed, I do my best to make their stay feel comfortable, familiar, and stress-free. Providing a safe, clean, and comfortable environment is extremely important to me. My home is organized with pet safety in mind, and I strive to create a peaceful setting where dogs can relax and feel at home. Communication is also a priority, and owners can expect regular photos, videos, and updates throughout their pet’s stay.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lodi
Lillian was absolutely wonderful with our two Shih Tzus, Smokey and Bandit. From our initial meet-and-greet to a last-minute request for a walk and feeding, she was professional, reliable, and incredibly easy to communicate with. She kept us updated, responded promptly, and gave us complete peace of mind knowing our dogs were in great hands. It was clear that she genuinely cared for Smokey and Bandit, and they were happy and well cared for every time she looked after them. We highly recommend Lillian to anyone looking for a trustworthy, dependable, and caring dog sitter. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again!

We had a great experience with the pet care service for our dog, Cola! Jinghong was very patient and caring with her, especially since Cola is an older dog and needs extra attention. We really appreciated the regular visits, feeding support, walks, and overall communication. It gave us peace of mind while we were away. Thank you for taking such good care of Cola — we truly appreciate it!
I cannot recommend Maxibel enough! She has been absolutely amazing with my dog!! She is so kind, caring, and attentive. My dog genuinely gets excited to see her, which gives me so much peace of mind whenever I’m away. She is always punctual, responsible, and incredibly reliable. One thing I especially appreciate is how consistent she is with updates and photos, which always reassures me that my dog is happy and well cared for. It’s clear she truly loves what she does and treats every pet like her own. I’m so grateful we found her!

Erica is a devoted dog lover and sitter. From the very beginning (soon after my initial request) and all throughout her visits, she kept in regular contact and always communicated clearly and kindly. Our dog Ranger never had it so good. She kept us updated with photos of his activities and the love and care she provided. We'll definitely have her back. She has our highest recommendation!

Honest feedback here - I was a little hesitant in using Xavier as he was young without too many years of experience, but I was in a bind and my last two sitters flaked - I saw that he was rated as a star sitter though with great reviews, so moved forward here and I am so glad I did. His communication skills are above the charts. He is extremely responsive, communicates very well (seems to truly care about your pets and their needs) and was always great about texting updates and photos - Too boot, he was extremely accommodating as the drive was a bit far, but he knew I was in a bind and took the job without hesitation - Moreover, he was very punctual and came at the times I needed him too. I can't tell you how nice it was to come home after my trip to a home where it was very easy to see my babies were well looked after and taken care of - Lastly, he has very good energy and I felt good leaving my babies in his hands even though was a stranger -

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
