“Teddy loves coming here. He can’t wait to get out of the car when we get close and never wants to get in the car when I pick him up lol. I know Rocío takes very good care of him when I’m working! He gets to play in the yard and rests inside.”

“She is really thoughtful and caring! She sent us lots of pictures to keep us updated on our dog, and I could tell from those photos that she truly loves dogs. She pays great attention to detail and makes sure everything is done properly. I feel completely safe and comfortable leaving my dog with her — highly recommended!”

“Denise was excellent! She took great care of my dog by making sure he was slowly introduced to her own dogs, gave him lots of space to play, and gave thorough report cards. She was very personable and was available for my family at the last minute. Thank you, Denise!”

About: I have extensive experience working in Veterinary Emergency Care, which has given me a strong understanding of animal behavior, safety, and how to recognize subtle changes in a pet’s well-being. I provide personalized boarding in my home and accept only one family at a time, allowing me to give each pet individualized attention in a calm, low-stress environment. I have experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, high-energy dogs, anxious pets, and dogs that require additional monitoring or support. I am also happy to reinforce training and routines that owners are already working on at home. I understand that being away from home can be stressful for some pets, so I do my best to maintain their normal routine and make their stay feel as familiar and comfortable as possible. Whether your dog sleeps in a crate, on a dog bed, on the couch, or in bed with their family, I will follow the routine you have established at home whenever possible. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, secure, and cared for while you’re away. I provide personalized care and keep my schedule flexible so that the pets in my care receive plenty of attention throughout the day. I rarely leave the house for more than an hour, and only occasionally for up to two hours if I need to run an errand. This allows me to provide regular potty breaks, playtime, walks, companionship, and plenty of supervision. Because I only host one family at a time, I am able to give each pet my full attention and maintain the routine they are used to at home. Whether your dog enjoys playing, going for walks, relaxing on the couch, sleeping in a crate, or curling up on the bed, I do my best to make their stay feel comfortable, familiar, and stress-free. Providing a safe, clean, and comfortable environment is extremely important to me. My home is organized with pet safety in mind, and I strive to create a peaceful setting where dogs can relax and feel at home. Communication is also a priority, and owners can expect regular photos, videos, and updates throughout their pet’s stay.
“Andrew took fantastic care of our puppy, Ace. He always responded promptly and kept us updated with pictures and videos. We were thrilled with his service and will definitely use it again. Highly recommend! 😊😊”

I use to make and sell healthy dog treats when I lived in NM for 2 years. ❤️Quality over quantity, your dog will always be my priority and never be in a crowded environment such as having too many dogs in one space.❤️ Usually open availability, if there are any scheduling issues I will be sure to let you know in advance and try to work something out. Please do not hesitate to ask! When first meeting your pet I take care to respect their boundaries and build trust with them. You will receive text and photo updates during the visit or walk always!

Let me help make your time away stress-free—for both you and your pet! Pet care is my full-time focus, and working from home gives me the flexibility to provide attentive, consistent care throughout the day. Whether it's morning walks, midday playtime, or evening routines, I’m able to stay present and responsive to each pet’s needs. My remote work lifestyle means I can offer dependable care, accommodate last-minute requests, and maintain a calm, reassuring environment for pets. Whether your pet is crashing at my place or I’m swinging by yours, I’m all about making them feel safe, happy, and loved. About: I have over two years of professional pet care experience working for Animal Loving Care (ALC) in New York City. During my time there, I worked as a dog walker, pet sitter, and in the dog daycare department, caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. The company even invited me to return after I moved to New Jersey, which I consider one of the greatest compliments to my work. I now provide reliable, loving, and personalized pet care in New Jersey. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. My availability: • House Sitting (Client’s Home): I am available on weekends to stay with your pet throughout the day and evening. I return early the following morning to continue their routine, ensuring they receive plenty of attention, companionship, walks, meals, and playtime. • Boarding in My Home: I can welcome pets into my home any day of the week, as long as they are friendly and comfortable around young children. • Dog Walking & Drop-In Visits: I am available seven days a week for walks, feeding, potty breaks, medication (if needed), playtime, and companionship. Depending on the time of day, I can accommodate visits with or without my son, depending on the schedule and your pet’s needs. I’m always happy to arrange a meet-and-greet before the first booking so you and your pet can get to know me. I treat every animal with patience, kindness, and the same love and respect I would give my own. I am a stay-at-home mom raising my two and a half year old son. I am available full time to care for your pet, taking him/her for walks, feeding it, and playing with them. We live in an apartment, but we have parks nearby, and there is plenty of green space right downstairs. My son is a calm child, and he likes animals. He doesn't hit, bite, or scratch, neither the animals nor us.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lodi
Our dog is so sweet but very discerning when it comes to food, puppy friends, and people. It’s always so reassuring how happy and cozy she is when staying with Chris. It’s so clear they care about her well being and that she is in trusted hands. Not to mention the stellar communication and accommodating schedule. We especially love seeing the beautiful photos of her while we are away. Thanks again!

Xunzi was very flexible and accommodating, even accepting our last-minute booking and adjusting to our schedule without any issues. Bacon was a little nervous on his first day, but she was so patient and understanding. She paid close attention to his emotions and made sure he felt comfortable and settled in. It gave us great peace of mind knowing he was in such caring hands. She is someone we can truly trust with Bacon, and we wouldn't hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend!

Jinghong is a very caring sitter. My dog Bacon fell in love with her starting from meet and greet. Bacon was well taken care of, and I really appreciated the updates and photos. It was obvious he was happy and comfortable during his stay. Thank you for treating him with such care—I would absolutely book with you again and highly recommend you to others!

Paloma was very responsive and always updated on how Ace was doing with the other little fur babies (he can be a handful at times). She even used her time with him to train him on basic commands. Overall very happy with how she babied my baby boy 🩷 will be going back!!

They accepted my last minute booking. Very communicative and just really friendly people. They were accommodating with my senior dog needs. You could tell they have alot of experience caring with pets. Such and pawsome sitter. Thank you and I hope you’ll accept our future requests.

As always Catherine is reliable. Cub is used to her and her sweet Cashew. Her place is dog-friendly and so is the area by her apartment. She takes Cub for walks and sends us photos. She just knows what to do and we trust her. Thank you so much, Catherine for caring for Cub.

Benji had such a great day with Gargi and Sourav and Archie! He got to run around in the yard, play, and was clearly super well cared for the whole time. I loved getting all the photo updates throughout the day. It was so nice seeing how happy and comfortable he was. You can really tell he was in good hands, and Archie was such a fun buddy for him to hang out with. Benji came home happy :) Would definitely book again!

I cannot thank Karla enough for providing an amazing care to our dog, Miley. I had to book her as last min booking while we were traveling and we couldn’t leave our dog for long hours at the hotel. Karla sent us numerous photos throughout the day when she was taking care of Miley from 9am-5pm. She was informative on how our dog was settling in, how she was spending time, or taking treats etc. She made our travel stress free because we knew Miley was getting a gray care. I would highly recommend her to any dog owners 🙌🏻👏🏻❤️

My dog sitter cancelled last minute before a friends wedding, Kat was able to take my dog in on an hours notice. Kat provided pictures/updates through out the stay, and was exceptionally accommodating to the last minute booking. I highly recommend Kat for your pet sitting needs.
Erica was AMAZING with Chloe! 🐶 My pup spent the entire day with her and did wonderfully. It was clear from the beginning how caring, patient, and attentive Erica is. Chloe came back home happy, relaxed and very well taken care of, which gave me great peace of mind. I would absolutely book with Erica again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving dog sitter. Thank you, Erica! 🙌💙

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Lodi commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 11,387 sitters in Lodi, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
