For cats and kittens, I also ask about their preferred hiding spots, how they feel about visitors, and any door-dash tendencies. For dogs, it’s helpful to know their walking style, training cues, and how they typically react to other pets or people. Anything you share big or small helps me step into your home ready to meet your pet exactly where they are. The more I know, the smoother and happier the visit will be for everyone.

My visits with your pets is built around their routine and what makes them happiest. We start with a quick check-in ,fresh water, food, litter box or potty break, and a few minutes to let them warm up and show me how they’re feeling. For dogs who love getting out, we head out for a walk that mixes exercise and sniff time. Afterward, we do enrichment that fits their style: fetch, tug, puzzle toys, scent games, or a little training practice for puppies or dogs who enjoy the extra mental work. Cats and kittens get their own version of fun. That might be wand toys, a laser session, puzzle feeders, or simply keeping them company while they lounge in their favorite window spot. I always follow their lead, some cats want active play, some want gentle pets and quiet reassurance. Seniors both dogs and cats, get a slower pace with extra comfort, soft encouragement, and low-impact activities that keep them engaged without feeling rushed.
