Pet care is my full-time profession, so my entire day is structured around giving each pet the attention they deserve. I don’t overbook or cram visits together, I intentionally keep my schedule flexible so I can stay reliable, punctual, and fully present with every animal I care for. Spacing out visits allows me to maintain a calm, stress-free routine and gives me room to handle any unexpected needs that might come up, such as extra cleanup, weather changes, mobility issues, or a pet who needs a little more time and reassurance that day. Your pet never feels rushed, and you never have to worry about me balancing other jobs or squeezing you in. This is what I do, all day, every day.

Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s comfort and safety always come first. I care for pets in their own home because that’s where they feel most secure, confident, and relaxed. I follow your routines exactly, feeding times, walks, medications, training cues, preferred routes, and house rules , so everything stays familiar and predictable for your pet. I pay close attention to details like behavior changes, energy levels, appetite, and overall mood, and I communicate anything I notice. I’m extremely reliable, gentle, and respectful of your home, and I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are always handled carefully. My goal is simple: your pet feels safe and understood, and you feel completely confident trusting me in your home.

Information Terilyn D. would like to know about your pet

During our meet and greet, I like to learn anything that helps me give your pet the safest, most comfortable care. This includes their daily routine, feeding schedule, medication needs, favorite activities, and any quirks or sensitivities. Let me know if they have leash reactivity, separation anxiety, special handling needs, or if certain situations make them nervous. For cats and kittens, I also ask about their preferred hiding spots, how they feel about visitors, and any door-dash tendencies. For dogs, it’s helpful to know their walking style, training cues, and how they typically react to other pets or people. Anything you share big or small helps me step into your home ready to meet your pet exactly where they are. The more I know, the smoother and happier the visit will be for everyone.

A typical day

My visits with your pets is built around their routine and what makes them happiest. We start with a quick check-in ,fresh water, food, litter box or potty break, and a few minutes to let them warm up and show me how they’re feeling. For dogs who love getting out, we head out for a walk that mixes exercise and sniff time. Afterward, we do enrichment that fits their style: fetch, tug, puzzle toys, scent games, or a little training practice for puppies or dogs who enjoy the extra mental work. Cats and kittens get their own version of fun. That might be wand toys, a laser session, puzzle feeders, or simply keeping them company while they lounge in their favorite window spot. I always follow their lead, some cats want active play, some want gentle pets and quiet reassurance. Seniors both dogs and cats, get a slower pace with extra comfort, soft encouragement, and low-impact activities that keep them engaged without feeling rushed.

Terilyn is absolutely wonderful! I have very shy dogs, and I was nervous about how they would handle a new sitter, but Terilyn was patient and intuitive. She came up with creative ideas to help them feel comfortable and safe in her presence. Her communication was top-notch; she sent frequent updates that really put my mind at ease. I’m so happy I found her and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, professional sitter!"

Teri is terrific … she is punctual and takes her time with my Bodhi . He is a slow walker because he has back issues and she is very patient with him .
