About: I co-owned two dogs with my neighbor as a child. My jobs was to walk and feed them. The first was a Saint Bernard who "decided" he wanted more space and fresh air and moved to the country. Later came a Golden lab. Then, we had milking goats, chickens, emus and rabbits... I have 2 cats I love dearly. They love walking around the yard showing me their favorite finds; usually it's a whole of some kind. I walk a lot on my own a Marin and can talk your furry well-behaved pet around your neighborhood and beyond. I am very dependable, always on time (unless major accident happens) and love all furry friends like my own pets. Available most days and/or week-ends between 8 AM and 9 PM for in home visits or dog or cat walking. Some cats like to go on walks too! Safety and the good physical and emotional health of your pet(s) are my priority. I will follow your health guidelines carefully and provide clean water upon each visit.
About: Hi! We’re Christina & Zach—lifelong animal lovers with 40+ years of combined experience. I grew up on a farm where my mom bred Newfoundlands & Great Pyrenees, so caring for dogs has always been second nature. Over the years, I’ve had German Shepherds, an Alaskan Malamute, Boxer, Rottweiler, Pomeranian, Samoyed and mixed breeds. Zach grew up with a horse and has had Black Labs, German Shepherds, Peekapoos, Pitbulls, Golden Retrievers and Boxers—he’s known as the “dog whisperer” among friends and family. OUR HOME & CARE: We both work from home as Creative Directors & Designers, so your dog will rarely (if ever) be left alone. We provide a calm, attentive environment with long daily walks (AM + PM), playtime and a fenced backyard. We’re happy to follow your dog’s routine, preferences and any special instructions to ensure they feel safe, comfortable and loved. We also have experience working with animals in therapeutic settings (horses and dogs), which informs our calm, intuitive approach to care. THE BAY AREA / DOG & HOUSESITTING We are currently active house and pet sitting across Marin & Sonoma counties and the East Bay. We relocated to the Bay Area in summer 2026 and are settling into the region while continuing to care for pets and homes locally. All our reviews on TrustedHousesitters (dog & housesitting app) are five stars, happy to share our profile link and reviews upon request. SCHEDULE: Flexible, with daily walks (typically 2–4 miles total or more if needed). Additional walks and care tailored to your dog’s needs. We work from home for ourselves. EXPECTATIONS: I’m an interior designer and take great pride in maintaining a beautiful home. I’m on Rover for the love of dogs—not for income—so I’m selective to protect my space. All dogs must arrive freshly groomed with nails trimmed prior to drop-off. Thank you for understanding. SAFETY, TRUST, ENVIRONMENT: In our home we have a fenced in backyard they can enjoy. We can accommodate their dog bed in (or out) of our bedroom or can also crate them at night — if you prefer. RATES & FIT: We may charge higher rates for larger breeds or dogs requiring additional time, energy, or care. This ensures every dog receives the attention they deserve and that we are fairly compensated.
“Ariela was so communicative and easy to work with! We will definitely book her again. She was very responsive and was flexible with meet and greets. She is reliable, flexible, and has a warm energy.”

“Chris was easy to communicate with, thoughtful in his questions. His even keeled temperament was a great fit for our 8 month old puppy. He shared photos and potty info which was also super helpful. Our pup came home happy (and ready for a nap!)”

“Lydia is great! She helped us walk Nova while we were on a trip and had my mom staying with Nova. My mom cannot handle Nova due to her reactivity to other dogs, squirrels, and cats. Normally they would just play in the back but our yard was too flooded to permit it. Lydia jumped in to help on very short notice and in the middle of some crazy weather. She was punctual and took Nova out on a different walk each morning that we needed her. She is communicative, responsible, and took good care of our spoiled princess baby. I highly recommend her!”

About: I am a Biology student at UCSC, and I want to become a veterinarian in the future. I am participating in the Pupcycle Club, which is a foundation that recycles old clothes to make dog toys for dogs in animal shelters in Santa Cruz. I also participate in the UCSC Vet Club, which is student-run, where we learn more about the care of animals and the steps it takes to become vets. I'm bilingual, able to speak in Spanish and English. I am a student at UCSC; however, I'm in Marin over the summer for a long period of time, from early June through late September, where I'm mainly focusing on volunteer opportunities, learning opportunities, and being able to care for other animals. With a free and flexible schedule, I am able to care for pets for short or long periods of time, working at your schedule. I will make sure your home stays clean and safe while caring for and providing time to your pets. I will respect your home and the environment your pets live in. I will provide my whole attention and focus on taking care of your pets and giving them the attention they deserve.
“Samuel was incredibly easy to communicate with and was able to help with a very last minute request to watch our dog Steve! He took very good care of him, sent lots of photos and went over and above to make sure that he got the exercise and attention that he needed! Thank you Samuel!”

“Thomas has been a life saver for us with our dog Guinness. He is always on time, he is reliable, he is patient with our somewhat moody, large dog, and he has become our regular walker 3x per week. Thomas is super responsive to messages and seems to genuinely enjoy spending time with Guinness. I highly recommend Thomas !”

About: I adopted my first cat in 2018, and have been obsessed ever since. I currently have two cats, Mac and Marty, and they are my best friends. Since owning cats, I have been dedicated to educating myself about how to keep them happy, healthy, and feeling secure in their environment. I know to be extremely patient with cats, to let them set the rules and boundaries for how they want to interact with you, and to look out for changes in behavior that can act as subtle but very important health indicators. I also know that cats require a lot of attention, different kinds of enrichment, and a high level of care. I work from home full-time, so I am available most weekdays after 5pm and all day on weekends. I have flexibility within the day as well, depending on the length of a home visit. Demonstrating a high level of care for your home and pets is extremely important to me (I respect no-shoes-inside policies). I'm happy to adjust to you and your pets needs to make sure I am providing the highest level of service that I can. I aim to build confidence and trust that things are taken care of while you are away.
About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I have years of hands-on experience as a lifelong dog owner, and dogs seem to connect with my calm, positive energy. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or simply providing companionship, I’ll make sure your dog feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away Im currently looking for as many opportunities as possible as my schedule has opened up. Currently im taking same day booking but I am open to consistent weekly work. I first ask what is expected of me , and going from there. In the past I’ve taken care of dogs in kennels, fenced off, indoor, and anyway the owner sees fit ensuring the safety of the pet ❤️
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and just recently said goodbye to my 17 year old pit bull rescue. I’ve been the go to sitter in my neighborhood for the past 15 years and I’m lucky to have been successful in our local fur community by word of mouth. I am well versed in senior dogs, dogs with physical limitations, dogs with allergies, administering medication, and handling reactive behaviors. I live in a large home with no roommates or pets, and have a large fenced yard with lots of areas to explore. There’s a hiking trail just feet away from my front door and I miss having my 4 legged companion to walk the trails with. Being the fur mom of a rescue, I understand that each dogs comes with instructions and I take that seriously. I understand the importance of activity in high energy dogs, and that new sitters need to be extra affectionate in the absence of a dogs owner. I love spending time outside and will love your fur baby as if it were my own! I generally work from home which allows for ample walks and mid day snuggles! If I need to go into the office, I am use to making time before and after work for walks. In addition the that, if owners are comfortable, dogs can have access to the fenced yard throughout the day. I have a large completely fenced yard. I have an extra large crate if that is preferred. There are no other pets on the property. There are no kids on the property and I have no roommates.

Jesse's the absolute best dog walker! My Australian Shepherd Wonder loves him. In the past wonder has been reactive towards guys, but he loves Jesse and looks forward to weekly walks and occasional overnight boarding on the weekends. Jesse's super flexible and a great communicator, highly recommend him for your pup. Jesse tends to have a bunch of doggies around, so if your dog is social like mine, they'll make lots of new friends and have a blast hiking around Marin

Delfina was a wonderful help and friend to our dog, Shaggy. This was our first time entrusting a walker on Rover, and we’re glad we did. She was easy to communicate with, friendly, and we loved the updates we got. Thanks, Delfina! We hope to cross paths again soon.

Ariela was great on her walk with Grady! I needed a very last minute walk and she responded quickly and was even able to come over and do a meet and greet before the walk the next day. I felt very comfortable having her walk Grady—he can be a lot and she was very capable. I’ll definitely have her visit for future walks!

David is AMAZING!! When my husband and I met David with our pups we knew immediately that he has a special ability to connect with animals (and humans). We have a rescue dog that is fearful of new people and is aggressive toward other dogs on walks. She took to David within seconds and he was able to calm and redirect her when a dog approached us. We were so relived because we were going out of the country for 2 weeks and our regular sitter wasn't doing home sits anymore. We scheduled a few walks with David and realized we no longer had to worry while we were away. We are continuing to schedule walks with him and our dogs are beyond excited when we tell them he is coming. Additionally, David is a calm, gentle, and kind and just a great person. We are so thankful we found him.
Jackson is great with my dogs. I have one rescue who is very nervous with new people and strangers, particularly men. She warmed up to Jackson quickly as he knew to give her space and not engaged with her until she was more comfortable with his presence. Jackson is really great to work with. He’s responsive and responsible. I look forward to working with Jackson more times..

We highly recommend Devon for any pet-sitting & dog walking needs! She leaves detailed notes and plenty of photos, great to have when we are away and want to make sure our dog is in good hands. We trust our dog is well taken care of any time we leave her with Devon, plus she is so easy-going and a pleasure to communicate with - so grateful we found her!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
