“Leonard was awesome to work with on all levels! He took care of my dog both as an in home sitter for overnight stay and for day sitting. He was extremely easy to work with as he would flex his hours everyday according to my schedule. My dog absolutely loved him! He took her to the beach and hiking and was always with her at home. He even bought her a toy on his last day which he let her select (not surprising that the toy closely resembles a squirrel :). Leonard also has a very pleasant and approachable personality - I would highly recommend him to take care of your dog. I look forward to Leonard and my dog reuniting on another stay!”

About: Experienced in dog caretaking and confident in their abilities working with dogs. Raised with dogs in their family home and continued spending time with dogs as they grew up. In 2024, lived with 25+ dogs at a dog shelter in Central America. Usually walked six dogs at a time as they walked all the dogs in the shelter daily. Have experience hiking with dogs as well. During their time living at the dog shelter, would constantly wash dogs, clean up after them, give them medications, feed them, and attend to any other needs that they had. When volunteered with 25+ dogs at a dog shelter in Central America for a semester, the owners developed enough rapport with me to leave me in charge when they traveled. I was able to attend to each individual dogs’ needs, giving medication to certain dogs and giving specialized care to others. I have also been in charge of taking care of our family pets growing up.

He is eager to get outside with the dogs on trail runs and nature hikes. Most importantly, Taylor cares holistically about the dogs, including 1) getting them out into nature to run and explore, 2) socializing the dogs with other dogs, people and children, 3) personally connecting with dogs through touch and play, and 3) the health of dogs with what they eat and getting good sleep. “Lydia is great! She helped us walk Nova while we were on a trip and had my mom staying with Nova. My mom cannot handle Nova due to her reactivity to other dogs, squirrels, and cats. Normally they would just play in the back but our yard was too flooded to permit it. Lydia jumped in to help on very short notice and in the middle of some crazy weather. She was punctual and took Nova out on a different walk each morning that we needed her. She is communicative, responsible, and took good care of our spoiled princess baby. I highly recommend her!”
