“We cannot recommend Lori and Frank more highly. This was Daisy’s very first time with a pet sitter, and as a rescue pup she can be a bit nervous in new situations. From the moment we met them, Lori and Frank immediately made her feel comfortable—not just with them, but also with their wonderful adult children. They took exceptional care of Daisy and truly made her part of their family. Thanks to their calm, loving environment, Daisy even gained the confidence to make a new doggy friend with another pet guest during her stay, which meant so much to us. We loved receiving regular updates and photos, and it was clear every step of the way that Daisy was happy, relaxed, and well cared for. Leaving your dog for the first time is never easy, but Lori and Frank made the entire experience completely stress-free. We are so grateful for the love and attention they gave Daisy and would trust them again without hesitation.”

“Lillie was wonderful, and I would highly recommend her! It was our first time leaving Bear with her- she sent lots of photos and videos which gave us peace of mind. Bear has issues with anxiety but came home a very happy boy! Thank you Lillie!”

“Wonderful sitter! Took great care of Scout and kept me updated with photos/videos. Scout went on fun hikes and looked so happy and well cared for the entire time. Highly recommend!”

“Sylvie was an excellent host for our golden retriever. Luna clearly had a blast and we will definitely be booking with her family again. Thank you for taking great care of our girl!”

“Holli had a great time with Melissa and Archie! It was so nice getting updates and seeing photos of her while we were out of town. Holli loved all of the attention, and exploring the parks around San Francisco. She came home happy and healthy. Holli will definitely be back next time we’re out of town!”

“11/10 recommend Sara. She goes above and beyond- tons of photos, fun beach adventures, and I could tell my dog was super happy while we were away. She’s flexible and a great communicator. So glad we found Sara!!”

“We are SO grateful we found Luna! Our usual dog care fell through right before a long out-of-state trip, and we were genuinely considering postponing because our senior dog, Indi, has recently been diagnosed with IBD and needs a specialized diet, daily meds, and a calm, attentive environment. She can get stressed easily in new places, which has previously led to tummy issues and even skin flare-ups — so we were very nervous about leaving her with someone new. From the very first message, Luna was incredibly warm, proactive, and thoughtful. She even offered to set up a meet-and-greet right away before we could ask, which immediately put us at ease. Once we dropped Indi off, it was clear Luna treats animals like family. Her own dog, Jim, also has IBD, so she had first-hand experience and comfort caring for a pup with similar needs. Throughout the two weeks, Luna provided detailed updates every single day — including meals, meds, walks, and yes, digestion reports (very appreciated 😂). She took so many adorable photos and videos that we could see how happy and relaxed Indi was. Our dog walker also commented on how noticeably happier and healthier Indi seemed while staying at Luna’s — her stools even improved (a true win for IBD dog parents!). Communication was flawless, kind, and reassuring the whole time. We felt completely at ease, which is priceless. We would absolutely book with Luna again and recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a sitter who is caring, attentive, and truly exceptional. Indi came home happy, calm, and healthy — we couldn’t ask for more. 💛🐾”

“This was our first experience with Kevin and Rosa and we were nervous about our newly adopted puppy who had separation anxiety. It turns out that she had a wonderful time with Kevin and Rosa, who showered her with individual attention and she bonded with their big friendly other dog. Kevin and Rosa were responsible, kept in close touch, and we hope to work with them again.”

About: I grew up with dogs and I’ve been a dog owner most of my adult life. I’ve also been a dog owner from the puppy age of eight weeks all the way through mature life. I can take care of other pets as well, and I can be available for dog boarding, dog sitting, dog walks, and other pet care during your weekends and travels. I am a part-time parent and establishing this as additional income since I am a single income household in Marin county. I am available for dog walking and boarding on alternating weekends, and during periods of your travels when I am in town. I am an outdoors woman, and will get pets outside and active regularly. I know several local dog parks and dog-friendly trails since I’ve been a dog owner myself for years (I no longer have a dog as of early 2025). I have a fenced front and backyard. I can house a pet with all of your personal items for the pet anywhere in my home, and I can provide highly personalized care since I live alone (part time parent with alternating weekends on my own).

“Drake had such a wonderful time with Tula. I loved the updates throughout his stay, which gave me comfort knowing he settled in ok and was having a good time. Would definitely recommend her to anyone needing their dog watched, especially since Drake can be reactive to strangers and other dogs. She was very understanding and handled him with a ton of care.”

“Deborah was fantastic! She was nice enough to accommodate us same day and could not have been nicer. We could tell instantly when we arrived that she was going to take great care of our dog Otto. She took him on walks, took him to the beach, sent lots of great photos, and even bought him some pup cups! Her children were also absolutely lovely and obviously made Otto feel comfortable and welcome. Highly recommend using Deborah services! You cannot go wrong!”

“Ashish was great. Good communication and very accommodating. Our dog had fun with a few other dogs about his size. It was a good experience overall. Definitely would do a repeat.”

“Ross was awesome! From our initial meeting, he asked all the right questions about the care and personality of my pup. During my pups stay, Ross was great about sending daily photos and updates on how my little guy was managing with my absence. I could see from the photos that my pup and Ross's pup were getting along really well... This left me feeling very comfortable that my pup was enjoying his 'vacation'. Thanks so much Ross! We look forward to Baxter staying with you again soon!”

“Wenxin is super friendly, a total dog lover (she has two rescue dogs who are very friendly and cheerful), and took great care of my dog while I was away. She sent very detailed, fun to read daily reports that chronicled every activity they did indoor and outdoor. Best dog sitter that you can find - no question!”

“Fabiano was great—very flexible with timing and quick to respond. He also sent photos of my dog and seemed like she har a great time with their dog, which was really nice to see.”

“Big thanks to Derek & Solip for showing such loving care to our corgi Bonnie. She had so much fun being a Marina girl for the weekend and seemed very comfortable with them. Derek made sure she got her allergy meds every day and even handled a case of giardia that popped up right before we left town. We got lovely pics of her walks on the green every day. I highly recommend and would definitely book them again.”

“This was our 7 month old puppy's first week away and she had the best time. Nadya was attentive and helped Winnie adjust to the other pups in the house. Nadya even walked Winnie and made sure she was enjoying her time. Nadya sent photos daily.”

“Matt was patient and gentle with my senior dog, which was greatly appreciated. He kept in touch, was responsive and carried out my sleepy dog when I came to pick him up. I would definitely book Matt again!”

“So thankful to have Sonia to look after our fur baby when we travel. We were able to enjoy our trip knowing he was in good hands with regular photo updates, and great communication from Sonia!”

“Audrey helped us out a lot as first-time users of Rover. She followed our instructions to a T, gave medications to our senior cat, Sweetie, and made sure to give her lots of attention. We hope to use her services again in the future. Our neighbor is also considering using Rover, so we hope to recommend Audrey when the time comes.”

“Anne is simply the best. This is the 5th time we have booked with her and we will continue to use her for all of our trips in the future. She is loving to the animals, timely, and attentive to details!”

“Great communication, friendly, very patient with my shy dog who required coaxing out of his crate initially but was getting belly rubs by the end of the visit. Would absolutely recommend!”

“Great experience. Jennifer was the perfect sitter for our family (cat). She is attentive, kind, caring, and knowledgeable. We hit it off quickly. She is easy going, and genuinely loves what she does. I will definitely book again.”

“We were away for 2+ weeks and Trisha made sure our cats had all the attention, communication, care, and love they needed. There were many additional odd things that came up with our house while we were away and she offered to handle everything with total professionalism. About: I love cats and while I've never had cats of my own, I've provided drop-in care and even walking services for the cats of family members, friends, and colleagues. I've worked with kittens, adolescent cats, adult cats, and senior cats.

“Abbey went beyond the call of duty in taking care of my two kittens. She spent so much quality time with them and even left toys for them to play with in the evening when they would be alone. She supervised them outside in our backyard and when they fell into the marsh, she gave them baths! She's an excellent cat herder. I came home to two very happy and well-fed kittens! I would definitely recommend Abbey, she demonstrates a genuine love of animals!!”

“I couldn’t be happier with the care our two cats received! From the very first visit, it was clear that Abby has a genuine love for animals. Abby kept us updated with photos and notes, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. We highly recommend Abby to anyone looking for reliable, caring, and professional pet sitting. We have worked with Abby a few times this year and will absolutely be booking again! 🐾💛”

“So grateful! This was my first time using Rover and I am thrilled with the match. Kathryn was awesome and took great care of our kitten. Our kitten was happy and very relaxed and this made for an easy transition. Kathryn kept us up to date with sweet pics which made it even easier to enjoy the trip and not worry at all about a thing. Kathryn also took wonderful care of our house. She even noticed some of our plants needed water and offered to take care of that. Very much looking forward to working with Kathryn again and Peanut has made a fast new friend.”

“Chuck was fantastic and went way above and beyond for me when he watched my cat. He was very responsive and kind and patient when I was worried. I can’t recommend him highly enough. There should be more than five stars available for someone as good as he was.”

“Devon was so great with my cat Peanut and helped me out when my other sitter had to cancel last minute! She was very prompt with her responses, came on time to feed Peanut, and sent the cutest updates and photos! Felt super comfortable leaving Peanut in her care and would definitely recommend her services! Thank you!!”

About: I also love taking care of cats if you need your kitty to be fed, checked on, and loved while you are away. My sister was allergic to cats growing up and we never had one so I’m getting all the time I can in now- and I found I really enjoy cats and their different personalities!
“If you have any doubts about leaving your furry friend in the care of a home sitter, Marisa will put your anxieties to rest. She took great care of my good buddy Gus the Cat, hanging out with him, giving him treats, and sending daily images of the little guy. I simply could not be more pleased, or grateful.”

She also was available on short noticed and was super easy to coordinate and communicate with. I am grateful to have found her!”

“Lori and Frank were incredibly warm to me and my dog! They welcomed him with open arms and gave him so much love - I was able to happily be without him knowing he was in great hands with Lori and Frank. They loved his idiosyncrasies and did everything they could to make my dog comfy - he can’t wait to go back and I will definitely use Lori and Frank regularly!”

Holistic Health Professional for over 35 years, a Magical Genius in the Gene Keys system - my conscientious care and versatile tool kit are on offer throughout the Bay Area I am semi-retired from my professional practice as teacher of healing arts, and individual and couples therapist. I have a lot of experience with service animals. I love to connect the dots in terms of the stresses that we are experiencing in our own bodies and then how our animals respond, and sometimes they carry our burdens. I love to support clearing and balancing for everybody's health! Since my journey in the last decade, which I call my radical sabbatical, I am ever grateful to be connecting differently with people rather than simply as a therapist. We are all in this together, and love abounds! I grew up with dogs, and more dogs. We had German shepherds and a Mastiff when I was very young, later my mother raised Border Collies, and my sister raised Jack Russells. I do love to help train dogs when they need it, it is ever so important, and help the owners get in the best groove with their relationship to their precious companions... My mother also had a Maine Coon cat and a small dog that were best friends and I have to say this is my favorite thing ever... In the '70s I hitchhiked across the country with a kitten tucked in my parka...

“Ariane was amazing with my dog, Porkchop! She was super friendly, kept me updated, and made sure he got lots of love and attention. I felt so comfortable knowing he was in such good hands. Highly recommend Ariane!”

About: I was raised in a home full of dogs and cats. We took in any and all strays. Even had a pet duck that lived to be 12 years old. I have bottle fed puppies that the mom dog was too spoiled to care for and my English Bulldog taught me so much about how to deal with a dog with medical challenges. I'm patient and kind. I'm currently working as an assistant TK teacher and I only work part-time so I have plenty of time to watch over your fur babies. My apt is safe and I can take them on neighborhood walks or hikes. I'm fully capable of taking care of dogs or cats in my home or yours.
“Halee was very welcoming and kind towards Teddy. He had a couple of long walks during his visit with her, which he loves to do. He was well-cared for and we appreciated her support”

About: I grew up with cats and dogs and even started my own dog walking business when I was ten. I love animals … maybe even more than people. 😂 I’d be honored to care for your cats and dogs while you’re away. I would love to help you care for your pets when my children are at school…and if it’s okay for them to visit with your sweet dogs and cats as well I have TONS of flexibility all day. I am very careful with pets. They are part of the family. Please tell me what you feel comfortable with and I will follow the instructions to the last detail. I have so much love to give these animals and am hoping to get to spend my time with helping them not miss you too much while you’re away.
“Amber was great! She took the trouble to come over for a "meet and greet" with Leo and Bailey the day before her job, which not only established a relationship in advance but gave us a chance to discuss the drill with them in unrushed fashion, ahead of time. Amber has a great chill way with dogs and is a reliable and cheerful person to work with. Would definitely use again.”

About: I have taking of dogs for about to years of all kind. I love them. Neighbors have relied on me to take of there dogs. Hi, I work part time and I go to school over the weekdays.so, I’m free to take care of your dogs over the weekend, and during school breaks. I I live by myself in my apartment of a bedroom and a living room and there is a patio that I could walk with your dog or take him for a walk or just play with him. I really love dogs and I really want to have one, but I can’t at the moment because I don’t make that much money to have one.
“Guillermo was so helpful and great to work with! He answered all my messages right away and was very thoughtful about asking questions to make sure my nervous dog would feel as comfortable as possible. Really appreciate his help with doggy daycare so my pup didn't have to be home alone!”

“We’re repeat clients. Jelly loves spending time with Etienne, Emilie and kids. He gets multiple walks a day and we get great communication/pictures throughout the visit.”

About: I co-owned two dogs with my neighbor as a child. My jobs was to walk and feed them. The first was a Saint Bernard who "decided" he wanted more space and fresh air and moved to the country. Later came a Golden lab. Then, we had milking goats, chickens, emus and rabbits... I have 2 cats I love dearly. They love walking around the yard showing me their favorite finds; usually it's a whole of some kind. I walk a lot on my own a Marin and can talk your furry well-behaved pet around your neighborhood and beyond. I am very dependable, always on time (unless major accident happens) and love all furry friends like my own pets. Available most days and/or week-ends between 8 AM and 9 PM for in home visits or dog or cat walking. Some cats like to go on walks too! Safety and the good physical and emotional health of your pet(s) are my priority. I will follow your health guidelines carefully and provide clean water upon each visit.

About: Dogs have been my one constant companion since I was born. Our little family joined Rover in 2017 as clients for our gorgeous cream golden retriever, who passed away at 14 from old age, and we started sitting in late 2019. We now have a 3-year-old cheeky Irish Setter. We are a family offering your dog a family life while you are away. We are not a professional dog kennel, we do not use crates or cages, and we do not leave dogs outside after dusk. Also, please note that we cannot take dogs with contagious conditions. The dogs usually go on about 3 to 4 walks and errands a day and stay with us at home, where they can access a fenced garden. I work from home, so your pet will not be alone. We offer treats (you will provide/ per your instructions), walkies, fun-filled days, tummy rubs, etc. Pets will sleep in the house in our living/kitchen area (I try to keep them out of the bedrooms). Walks are calibrated to the dogs' needs; we never push dogs, but most of the time, we provide them with more opportunities to go out than they may be used to. As a result of the increased activity and the stress of being away from you, especially the first time, they might seem a little tired and sleepy upon returning home, which is normal. Strict drop-off and pickup times: earliest: 6:30 AM, latest: 6:00 PM. Please do not book outside these hours (no exceptions). ALL Drop-off and pickup take place at Doc Edgar Park in Fairfax. Our small road ends in a trail (dead end); it is easier to meet at the park. Also, we do not allow clients on our property at present. We keep more than one dog at once. If your dog does not get along with other dogs, we are probably not the right sitters for you. For New Clients: meeting you and your dog before booking the stay is essential. We need to see if we are a good match. We offer free 30-minute preliminary meetings during the week only. Due to our insurance, we no longer take: Rottweilers, Pitbulls, American Bullies, Great Danes, Staffordshire Terriers, or mixed breeds, including any of the above, Chihuahuas, French Bulldogs, Bulldogs, or any dogs showing aggressiveness, and we cannot take dogs with contagious illnesses (Kennel cough or intestinal parasites). Puppies: need to be fully vaccinated, and the vet must approve taking them to a dog park. Unfortunately, we cannot accept puppies on heat. Please understand that we are not responsible for any items you bring with your dog (bed, crate, soft toy, etc). These items may be damaged, buried, or torn during the stay as dogs play with each other, especially puppies. LOGISTICS - FEES - CANCELLATION - POLICY - BOARDING IS PER 24-HR Periods. For example, if you drop off the dog at 9 AM on day one but pick it up at 5 PM on pickup day, I will add a daycare fee. We do not charge per hour. The Rover app lets you enter any time in your initial booking request and does its own calculations, but it is up to the sitter to specify and apply their rates and procedures. PAYMENTS - Payments must be made through Rover; we do NOT accept cash or any other form of payment. - I do not control how visible Rover makes the rates or cancellation policy on their website; I do not control their terms either - please get in touch with them directly for any payment-related or lack of clarity regarding their terms. - Rates: Please check the rates; they are different if you book for a holiday or a puppy CANCELLATION POLICY - Details of the Rover Seven Days Policy - I do not control the wording or updates to the policy (by calling Rover) OVERNIGHT KIT REQUIRED - FOOD: Please measure the amount of food the dog needs for the stay and for one or two more days (just in case). WE NO LONGER TAKE WHOLE FOOD BAGS OR TUBS. At drop-off, you will be asked to measure the food if it has not already been calculated. - No bowls needed – we use stainless steel bowls and labyrinth stainless steel for those fast eaters – no plastic - No beds needed – we have beds with removable covers that we wash between dogs TOYS: We can NO LONGER ACCEPT toys - We do not take responsibility for toys when dogs play together; toys may be destroyed, lost, or mixed up on pickup day. CRATES: Up to you - We do not have any. COMMUNICATIONS - I take photos of your dog and send them to you. I cannot control service connection or download times, and we might be on a trail with limited receptioso n, photos might be delayed. - I answer inquiries (change in drop off pick up, new requests, etc.) as best I can between 8 AM and 6 PM during workdays and more sporadically at weekends (I am usually out with the dogs in places where the connection may vary). I do NOT provide a summary of everything your dog did each day; the photos are the vehicle to communicate how your dog is doing. I only reach out if I have a question (running low on food) or if it is an emergency. Pet Care – SHAMPOOS: We are not a salon; we are not equipped to pamper your pet. We love dogs, and dogs love to run in the grass, in the rivers, on the beach, and often in the mud. Very few dogs like tarmac. We clean their paws, but if you want a squeaky-clean, fragrant dog, please book an extra cleaning service with your usual pet salon for the pickup day. Should we have to wash your dog due to excessive dirt or extended stays, we would use Burt's Bees for Puppies Tearless Shampoo for puppies or Burt's Bees Hypoallergenic Shampoo for adult dogs. You must list any known medical issues on your dog's profile, including allergies, and let us know if your dog has any known allergies and/or if you have a specific shampoo you use; please bring it. Your dog must be tick-treated. We walk on trails, and there are lots of deer and ticks around. I tried to cover everything, but if I forgot anything, don't hesitate to ask when we meet! We look forward to meeting you and your furry friends! Working from home, we provide several walks daily. Max time on their own would be a couple of hours. All details of our day will be discussed during the preliminary meeting. We have a fenced garden and a cosy home; dogs enjoy both; we do not use kennels, and dogs are always inside after dark. Usually, they like to stretch under my desk after a long walk or listen to my son playing the violin.
“Chris was easy to communicate with, thoughtful in his questions. His even keeled temperament was a great fit for our 8 month old puppy. He shared photos and potty info which was also super helpful. Our pup came home happy (and ready for a nap!)”

“Thomas has been a life saver for us with our dog Guinness. He is always on time, he is reliable, he is patient with our somewhat moody, large dog, and he has become our regular walker 3x per week. Thomas is super responsive to messages and seems to genuinely enjoy spending time with Guinness. I highly recommend Thomas !”

Whether it’s dogs or cats, being with them brings me so much joy and fulfillment. When caring for pets, I always prioritize their comfort and well-being, whether at my home or a client’s. In my home, I create a safe, clean, and cozy environment where pets can relax and feel at ease. I ensure they have fresh water, regular meals, and plenty of playtime and exercise. When visiting a client’s home, I follow their specific instructions to maintain the pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, walks, and any special care needs. I treat every pet as if they were my own, providing affection, attention, and consistent care to make them feel secure and loved.

About: Hi, I’m Alex! Dogs have been part of my whole life — I grew up on a farm where we always had a pack of them around, learned early on how to read a dog's body language, energy, and needs. As an adult, I've channeled that into being a dog mom as well as fostering rescue dogs — helping them decompress, build trust, and find their footing — and also spending years caring for elderly dogs with the patience and gentleness they need. Now I'm a mom of 3 kids and 1 dog in Marin County. With a new baby and a serious need to get outside every day, walking dogs is my most perfect answer — and your dog gets a genuinely experienced, gentle, fully present walker who loves this as much as they do. I look forward to getting out on the trail or taking to the cool pavement with your pup and getting to know their unique needs and walking wants. Accepting small to medium size dog requests for walking. Let me know if you’d like to connect. I’m walking dogs for about an hour every day to get outside with my new baby and some furry friends. Fitness and fresh air for everyone! My environment of care I expect to provide will generally be the gentle neighborhood hike or neighborhood walk. I only walk one dog at a time, so this is a calming and personal experience for them. I may also have my baby with me so he can enjoy the outside from his carrier.
About: I am a person that has grown around dogs and I really care for each and every dog I have owned. I personally enjoy going out to walks and runs with dogs and having a great bond with them. I believe every dog shows a special connection to us and they are very caring so we should as well show our care for them providing our help when they need it. I have interacted with all types of dogs and even though you can have a favorite breed, every dog is important and beautiful in their way. I am definitely a dog person and would like to get to know more dogs of any type of breed and create a good bond with them regardless of their age.

“First time experience with this sweet family dog-sitting for me. They went above & beyond to ensure a good experience for both my dog and me. We had our dogs pre-meet at a park a week before, they made drop-off-pick-up easy, and gave my pup lots of love & walks. They were great communicators throughout. Highly recommended!”

“Henri had a great weekend at Paulina’s! She came out to greet us and then took the leash and introduced Henri to her home-he was so comfortable with her from the start. Our dog has hardly been away from us in his 7 years and I was a little nervous about leaving him with someone new, but I soon realized I had nothing to worry about. Paulina is a very relaxed person and sent updates and adorable photos each day. It made me happy to see him look so at home with her. Don’t let her lack of a backyard discourage you-Henri was happy and tired when we picked him up. We will call on her whenever we need a dog sitter for when we visit our daughter in SF. Paulina was an absolute lifesaver and we are so happy to have found her!”

“Megan was fantastic! She took such great care of our poodle, Messi, and kept us updated every day with photos and messages, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Messi also loved spending time with Megan’s daughter and quickly became friends with her sweet pups. It was clear he was happy and well cared for the entire time. Thank you, Megan! We’ll definitely be booking with you again and highly recommend you to anyone looking for a wonderful dog sitter.”

“Samantha is an absolute gem! Leaving Angel for 8 days was daunting, but Samantha's exceptional care put my mind at ease. As a repeat client, I'm discerning about who I trust with Angel, and Samantha exceeded all expectations. Angel was visibly happy and comfortable in Samantha's care, which was such a relief to see. Thank you, Samantha, for your wonderful attention to detail and genuine love for animals. I'm officially your biggest fan on Rover! :-)”

“Thank you Bianca! Bianca took wonderful care of Kuma and we appreciate her excellent communication and flexibility. We would absolutely ask Bianca to dog sit again. Thank you!!”

“Foxy was very happy to spend four nights with Tamara. She took care of our little dog exactly the way she likes to be taken care of. We will definitely use Tamara‘a services again.”

“Molly and Stephen were awesome with our pup, Stu! They watched him for two weeks while we were on vacation, and we felt totally at ease the whole time. Stu had a great time - lots of walks, cuddles, and hanging out in the yard. Their dog Duke was so sweet and very tolerant of our younger, energetic pup. We appreciated that Stu got the chance to have a canine companion around, too. We came back to a happy, relaxed pup (always the best sign). Would definitely book with them again!”
