About: I’ve had pets my whole life. I can befriend even the most skittish of pets and will love them as if they were my own. I work from home so having a companion is wonderful. I live across the street from a park, can take breaks when I want, and have a pet friendly balcony for all day fresh air. I live alone and with my young adult kids. Our dog of almost 17 years transitioned a few years ago so we all love having a dog around. I also do cat sitting and home sitting as well.

About: Dogs thrive when they get enough physical AND mental stimulation, I know how to prioritize both. There is a huge improvement in a dog's behavior if they are mentally stimulated everyday. Recently my brother and I adopted a highly anxious German Shepherd and had learned the best ways to walk and train her in order to reduce her anxious/aggressive behaviors. During the week I have a full School and Work but I have availability Friday afternoon-Sunday afternoon. I am outgoing and personable. I am a high energy person and very comfortable taking your furry loved one on vigorous or light walks. I can walk your dog and train them along the way. There's 3 types of walks or runs I take my own dog on. 1) A structured walk, which involves a lot of training and a lot of rewards. It usually is less physically strenuous but stimulates the brain. 2) A fast paced walk that is focused on exercise. Or 3) A dog lead walk, where I let the dog sniff and lead where they would like to explore. (This one usually occurs after I've established a good relationship with the dog)

Our usual dog care fell through right before a long out-of-state trip, and we were genuinely considering postponing because our senior dog, Indi, has recently been diagnosed with IBD and needs a specialized diet, daily meds, and a calm, attentive environment. She can get stressed easily in new places, which has previously led to tummy issues and even skin flare-ups — so we were very nervous about leaving her with someone new. From the very first message, Luna was incredibly warm, proactive, and thoughtful. She even offered to set up a meet-and-greet right away before we could ask, which immediately put us at ease. Once we dropped Indi off, it was clear Luna treats animals like family. Her own dog, Jim, also has IBD, so she had first-hand experience and comfort caring for a pup with similar needs. Throughout the two weeks, Luna provided detailed updates every single day — including meals, meds, walks, and yes, digestion reports (very appreciated 😂). She took so many adorable photos and videos that we could see how happy and relaxed Indi was. Our dog walker also commented on how noticeably happier and healthier Indi seemed while staying at Luna’s — her stools even improved (a true win for IBD dog parents!). Communication was flawless, kind, and reassuring the whole time. We felt completely at ease, which is priceless. Kathryn & her beautiful black lab Ogden as well as their home-sanctuary was unbelievable and the care & amount of love and attention that they exhibited for and with our little girl Aka was more than we could of expected. Aka was elated, overjoyed, and in-love from the moment we did a meet-and-greet, and the drop-off and pick-up moments felt like she was truly in heaven. Her black lab Ogden, was one of the most gentle and kind large dogs I have ever seen, he was very polite, welcoming, and was so gentle when asking Aka to play — she has been known to be shy and often struggled to introduce play with other dogs (but NOT with Ogden). I think she has found a 2nd home, a new dog-lover & best friend, and we will be returning more often to hang out & of course use Kathryn’s services in the future when needed! Julie has been absolutely wonderful taking care of my Italian Greyhound Leo for one whole week. My pup was welcomed into her family by all. Johnathan took such wonderful care of our dog, Ozzy! He came back to us looking even better than when we dropped him off — his nose was moisturized, his coat looked great, and most importantly, he was so happy. Ozzy clearly had the best time doing his favorite things: outdoor exploring and ball chasing. He even had a hard time saying goodbye, which shows just how well he was cared for. We’re so grateful for the love and attention Johnathan gave him — highly recommend and would definitely book again!
