I work from home part time. I do daily walks and supervised yard time. I leave the home for a few hours several times a week. If your dog is here for a longer stay, I will have to leave the home for a few hours while they are here. Let’s talk about what you want that to look like. Creating an engaging, calm, and clean environment for my pups is something I put a lot of time and effort into.

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a house with a large, fenced in yard. This allows for frequent potty breaks and playtime, or a space to decompress if the dogs are stressed out. Please note that my yard does have wildlife visitors from time to time (Deer, squirrels, possum, etc). I live with my husband and we do host friends and family in our home occasionally. Let’s discuss if your dog is shy!

Home

Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 1 dog

Dogs not allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Information Veronica V. would like to know about your pet

What would be helpful for me to know about your dog is: medication, diet (please bring your food so they don’t feel sick), stranger danger issues, house trained y/n (it’s ok if not, I have house trained several fosters), do they eat toys or soft objects or any other chew risk, can they do stairs (it’s ok if not for dogs 40lbs and under). Please make sure your dog is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and has an ID tag.

A typical day

My go to things to help enrich my dog sitting dogs are: going on walks, puzzle toys, ice cube treats when it’s hot, supervised yard time, local hikes or beach days.

Dog Trainer w/ rescue experience

Pet care experience

⭐️Please read before booking⭐️ I work through Rover full time, year round. My husband and I own our home here in San Anselmo and love this community. I have my dog trainer certification from Karen Pryor Academy, and I also work a part time remote job from home. I grew up with dogs and currently have a dog of my own (Bowie). Bowie is couch potato type. He is interested in new dogs upon first meeting but for the most part he prefers to nap in the sun. Every once in a while a dog will entice him to play. Between fostering and sitting, I have brought home something like 50+ new dogs so he is very used to a wide variety of other dogs being in the home. Many of my clients have noted that having Bowie around has created a sense of ease for their dog in a new environment away from family. He has a calming (lazy) presence in the home. He does not get along with aggressive players who will not respond to boundaries. I am selective with the dogs that I bring into our home so let’s definitely discuss and do a meet and greet. Boarding dogs must be dog friendly, no exceptions. My passion is animal rescue. I also volunteer with SFSPCA, Coppers Dream, and Rocket dog Rescue. I’ve seen a lot of behaviors/ medical needs and can adapt to challenges easily, especially shyness and anxiety. I am comfortable administering oral and topical medication and will consider injectable medication on a case by case basis- let’s discuss! Animal CPR/ First Aid certified. Safety first! Because I have a dog of my own, all in home boarders or day care clients must be dog friendly.*** I do not accept intact males over 6 months for in home services**** Let’s do a meet and greet! 5% of all earnings will be donated to Copper’s Dream rescue (check them out!) All dogs deserve love ❤️

Veronica did a fantastic job walking my dog! She was punctual, kind, and clearly great with animals. My pup came back happy and well-exercised. I appreciated the updates and care she provided—highly recommend!
