About: A little about me: I'm a lifelong critter lover - dogs, cats, rats - you name it, I love it. For 4+ years, I ran with dogs at an animal shelter in Chicago (PAWS, for those who are familiar), allowing me to work with dogs with all types of breeds and temperaments from nervous, anxious dogs, to high-energy assertive dogs. I'm a careful observer around any new animal (particularly dogs), making sure I understand their personality, comfort level, and needs. Most of my time is spent walking, hiking, or running with best friend and roommate of 2+ years, Fennec. I adopted him from a border collie rescue to be my running companion and since then, has humbled me (daily) with his endless enthusiasm and energy. He's the bestest boy. What to expect dog-sitting or walking: My approach will be to make your dog comfortable, happy, and fulfilled. In our initial meeting, I'll ask a ton of questions to understand your dogs likes, dislikes, schedule, and personality. Then, I'll make sure to fill in where I'm needed (couch cuddles, play time, sniffy walks, etc.) - giving your loved one (your dog), a great experience while giving you peace of mind. Afterwards, you can expect pictures and a quick summary, so you know exactly how the visit / walk went. If a walk isn't enough for your dog, consider this: I own a border collie, so I know how hard (i.e., impossible) it is tire out a high-energy dog. If your dog is like mine and needs WAY more than a walk (or three), let me take them on a run at their distance, at their pace. I'll just ask that you have the proper equipment (harness, leash) for your pup and I've got the rest. If you’d like me to run with your pup, select dog walking services and note you’d like a run. Note that running is a flat $5 surcharge (for either a 30 or 60-minute run). If your dog is friendly / likes other pups, I'll bring Fennec along too. #packrun Pet care fits right into my day to day right now. I'm currently taking a break from work, so I've got a lot of flexibility with my schedule and can work around whatever days and times suit you and your dog best. I tailor my approach to each dog and each owner. Before anything starts, I like to get a sense of your dog's routine, habits, and preferences, along with any specific instructions you have, and I'll work around all of that. Whether it's a walk, a run, or sitting in your home, my goal is to keep things as close to your dog's normal routine as possible so they feel comfortable and cared for the whole time.

About: I co-owned two dogs with my neighbor as a child. My jobs was to walk and feed them. The first was a Saint Bernard who "decided" he wanted more space and fresh air and moved to the country. Later came a Golden lab. Then, we had milking goats, chickens, emus and rabbits... I have 2 cats I love dearly. They love walking around the yard showing me their favorite finds; usually it's a whole of some kind. I walk a lot on my own a Marin and can talk your furry well-behaved pet around your neighborhood and beyond. I am very dependable, always on time (unless major accident happens) and love all furry friends like my own pets. Available most days and/or week-ends between 8 AM and 9 PM for in home visits or dog or cat walking. Some cats like to go on walks too! Safety and the good physical and emotional health of your pet(s) are my priority. I will follow your health guidelines carefully and provide clean water upon each visit.

About: Hi! We’re Christina & Zach—lifelong animal lovers with 40+ years of combined experience. I grew up on a farm where my mom bred Newfoundlands & Great Pyrenees, so caring for dogs has always been second nature. Over the years, I’ve had German Shepherds, an Alaskan Malamute, Boxer, Rottweiler, Pomeranian, Samoyed and mixed breeds. Zach grew up with a horse and has had Black Labs, German Shepherds, Peekapoos, Pitbulls, Golden Retrievers and Boxers—he’s known as the “dog whisperer” among friends and family. OUR HOME & CARE: We both work from home as Creative Directors & Designers, so your dog will rarely (if ever) be left alone. We provide a calm, attentive environment with long daily walks (AM + PM), playtime and a fenced backyard. We’re happy to follow your dog’s routine, preferences and any special instructions to ensure they feel safe, comfortable and loved. We also have experience working with animals in therapeutic settings (horses and dogs), which informs our calm, intuitive approach to care. THE BAY AREA / DOG & HOUSESITTING We are currently active house and pet sitting across Marin & Sonoma counties and the East Bay. We relocated to the Bay Area in summer 2026 and are settling into the region while continuing to care for pets and homes locally. EXPECTATIONS: I’m an interior designer and take great pride in maintaining a beautiful home. I’m on Rover for the love of dogs—not for income—so I’m selective to protect my space. All dogs must arrive freshly groomed with nails trimmed prior to drop-off. Thank you for understanding. SAFETY, TRUST, ENVIRONMENT: In our home we have a fenced in backyard they can enjoy. We can accommodate their dog bed in (or out) of our bedroom or can also crate them at night — if you prefer. RATES & FIT: We may charge higher rates for larger breeds or dogs requiring additional time, energy, or care. This ensures every dog receives the attention they deserve and that we are fairly compensated.

About: I grew up with dogs and I’ve been a dog owner most of my adult life. I’ve also been a dog owner from the puppy age of eight weeks all the way through mature life. I can take care of other pets as well, and I can be available for dog boarding, dog sitting, dog walks, and other pet care during your weekends and travels. I am a part-time parent and establishing this as additional income since I am a single income household in Marin county. I am available for dog walking and boarding on alternating weekends, and during periods of your travels when I am in town. I am an outdoors woman, and will get pets outside and active regularly. I know several local dog parks and dog-friendly trails since I’ve been a dog owner myself for years (I no longer have a dog as of early 2025). I have a fenced front and backyard. I can house a pet with all of your personal items for the pet anywhere in my home, and I can provide highly personalized care since I live alone (part time parent with alternating weekends on my own).

About: I am a Biology student at UCSC, and I want to become a veterinarian in the future. I am participating in the Pupcycle Club, which is a foundation that recycles old clothes to make dog toys for dogs in animal shelters in Santa Cruz. I also participate in the UCSC Vet Club, which is student-run, where we learn more about the care of animals and the steps it takes to become vets. I'm bilingual, able to speak in Spanish and English. I am a student at UCSC; however, I'm in Marin over the summer for a long period of time, from early June through late September, where I'm mainly focusing on volunteer opportunities, learning opportunities, and being able to care for other animals. With a free and flexible schedule, I am able to care for pets for short or long periods of time, working at your schedule. I will make sure your home stays clean and safe while caring for and providing time to your pets. I will respect your home and the environment your pets live in. I will provide my whole attention and focus on taking care of your pets and giving them the attention they deserve.

About: Hello! My name is Karissa and I am a big animal lover. I've had dogs and cats my whole life, and have always enjoyed spending time with and caring for them. I have trained and competed in agility with my Australian shepherds, and I have worked with and trained dogs of all ages. I have also cared for and loved many cats (both my own and for clients and friends). When I played varsity polo for Virginia Tech, my team was charge of all aspects of care for our 16 horses during the school year. I have ridden and cared for over 100 horses since I was young. Through these experiences, I have administered medications, handled behavioral issues, fed a variety of foods, and cared for and diagnosed illnesses and injuries. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, cared for, and loved while their favorite people are away. Your pet should feel like they are on vacation too! I am available and excited to care for your pets on any schedule that works best for them! My schedule is quite flexible right now. Because I offer care in your home, I strive to ensure that you and your pets feel safe, respected, and cared for. I emphasize safety, privacy, cleanliness, and happy animals. Especially with the temporary change in caregiver, I believe it is extremely important to maintain the routine your pets are used to while you are away, with maybe a couple extra treats (with permission, of course) :) Above all, I adhere to the care rules and instructions given to me, because you know your pets better than anyone.

About: Hi, I’m Alex! Dogs have been part of my whole life — I grew up on a farm where we always had a pack of them around, learned early on how to read a dog's body language, energy, and needs. As an adult, I've channeled that into being a dog mom as well as fostering rescue dogs — helping them decompress, build trust, and find their footing — and also spending years caring for elderly dogs with the patience and gentleness they need. Now I'm a mom of 3 kids and 1 dog in Marin County. With a new baby and a serious need to get outside every day, walking dogs is my most perfect answer — and your dog gets a genuinely experienced, gentle, fully present walker who loves this as much as they do. I look forward to getting out on the trail or taking to the cool pavement with your pup and getting to know their unique needs and walking wants. Accepting small to medium size dog requests for walking. Let me know if you’d like to connect. I’m walking dogs for about an hour every day to get outside with my new baby and some furry friends. Fitness and fresh air for everyone! My environment of care I expect to provide will generally be the gentle neighborhood hike or neighborhood walk. I only walk one dog at a time, so this is a calming and personal experience for them. I may also have my baby with me so he can enjoy the outside from his carrier.
