“Charles did a fantastic job taking care of my two cats. He was very good about following instructions. He even helped me take out the trash, which was not a part of his job description. Super nice guy. I would definitely book him again.”

“Kathryn is wonderful. We have appreciated her good humor and patience during the long (but very worthwhile) process of our dog Hildy getting to know a new person. We look forward to working with her going forward.”

About: I am not a trainer. However, I've been in the pet care field for more than a decade. My senior dog taught me a lot about her needs and abilities as she aged. So I understand that it isn't just about the walk but about communication, patience & companionship, too. You've probably seen me walking with a dog in your neighborhood or at local dog friendly venues. The dogs who walk with me are all special in their own way with behaviors or reactions that require a little patience and understanding. So, you won't see me trying to manage five or six dogs at a time; just one. If one of the dogs in my care requires medication, I'll administer an oral med but I will not administer injectable medications or fluids. I'll always make sure when dropping off a dog that there is fresh water and, if necessary, make sure that the crate is clean & dry.
“Lydia did a stellar job! She is reliable, on time and a she understands how to take of a cat, which is rare. I can tell she was here and actually paid attention to our cat because of the cat’s behavior when I got home. I would recommend her to another cat owner”

About: Hi! I have always loved animals. I have had dogs my entire life since we adopted my first dog, a black lab, from the humane society when I was 5. I have also volunteered at the humane society for many years on a regular basis. I am home full time right now and my priority is giving the animals I look after the best possible care and of course lots of love! I just want them to be happy and comfortable with me. Reach out with any questions you may have. This is my main job at the moment so I have a very flexible schedule during the week. Therefore, my number one priority is making sure your pet is happy and safe while at home or out on an adventure. I have no pets myself right now so I have a lot of time and energy to care for your dogs and cats. I have cared for many of my own pets, and they lived happy, long lives. With me, you have a trustworthy, competent, and caring animal lover.
“Natalie has been amazing with our 4-month old pup! She’s been coming regularly to walk/play/feed him, and is super responsive, reliable, always updates me, and most importantly, our puppy loves Natalie! She’s also brought her dog with her (after asking me if it was ok, which I gladly said yes to!), and her dog has also been great with my puppy and helps tire him out:) would highly recommend.”

“If you have any doubts about leaving your furry friend in the care of a home sitter, Marisa will put your anxieties to rest. She took great care of my good buddy Gus the Cat, hanging out with him, giving him treats, and sending daily images of the little guy. I simply could not be more pleased, or grateful.”

“Our rebooking with Tara was so smooth. She took great care of our pets and house, sent excellent updates and was flexible when we extended our trip! Great sitter. Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve worked with many different animals, including cats, dogs, birds, hamsters. I love them all and know that patience is needed for them especially with making sure they’re comfortable. I’ve also worked with many large dog breeds, which include malamutes, German shepherds, pitbull, Akita’s. I’m currently work during the day so I am free most evenings Sunday through Thursday. I am more available on Fridays and Saturdays during the day. I make sure the pets are in safe areas for them so that they don’t get into anything that isn’t safe. I make sure to give them space but follow them just in case. I want them feel comfortable in their space.

About: As a life-long pet owner, I am familiar with all stages of love and life that go into having a dog as a family member. Compassion and empathy are my specialty when it comes to these beautiful furry choices we’ve made! All dogs have their own personality and it is my pleasure to work with your dog and your needs for them to ensure happiness and calmness. I communicate well and share what I see in them so that we all have a better understanding of how to keep the happiness flowing! Caring for pets comes naturally to me and it would be my pleasure to care for your pet during the times when you are called away. I am always available to discuss whatever may come up. Cheers! I’m currently working part-time and back in grad school for art therapy. Hanging out with pets is one of the better ways to earn a little cash. I follow whatever rules and guidelines you have in your home in mine. Trust in a person’s home is paramount so please leave me a list and let me know your terms.
About: I have 2 dogs of my own at home! We love spending our nights after work at the dog park or going on hikes together on the weekends. Most of my friends and neighbors ask me to take care of their pups whenever they travel and it’s something that brings me a lot of joy! I work from home so my schedule is flexible. I can take breaks and go for long or short walks throughout the day. I am most free before work, during my lunch break 1:00-2:00pm or after 5:30pm I am very attentive to the needs of each pet and make sure they feel relaxed in any situation. I have dogs of my own at home and understand the importance of keeping them leashed and safe.
“Melina was great! Very flexible with my last minute drop in request. My dogs loved her and she took great care of them. Went above and beyond in a rain storm to make sure their paws were dry and the floors were not muddy. Checked in regularly and made me feel at ease knowing my dogs were taken care of.”

About: I've had dogs in my life since I was a middle schooler. Between my family dogs and dogs who have lived in my home since then I have been responsible for at least 7 dogs, of all shapes, sizes and demeanors. I've kept moody Dachshunds, energetic Shelties, even tempered Retrievers and even rescue Pitbulls. I love hiking and getting outdoors, and bringing a canine friend along. I currently have one dog of my own, a peppy rescue mix, and he is my best friend I am available to dog/house sit very regularly. I am an ecological land designer working most days from home with the exception of days where I need to do a site visit or connect with my team in person. I can pretty much work from anywhere with a good internet connection, so most days would be able to be around in case your dog needs more frequent walks or attention. In addition to dogs I love other pets and plants! If you have house plants, a veggie garden or other plants that need some watering or attention while you're away I'll be able to help in the department as well! I work from home most days, so I am able to be flexible around a pets needs regarding feeding, walks, and medication. Ocassionally I do have to leave home for work, and that is typically up to 4 hours. We have one dog at home and since we don't have a yard, we typically take him up on the ridge to walk, or to the Red hill Dog park or San Quentin beach. These are great places to have some fun exercise

San Anselmo cat parents share their Rover experiences
Chuck was fantastic and went way above and beyond for me when he watched my cat. He was very responsive and kind and patient when I was worried. I can’t recommend him highly enough. There should be more than five stars available for someone as good as he was.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Olivia is well-loved on here for a reason! She is warm, caring and responsible. You will have nothing to worry about even if you are the most anxious type of pet parent, as I am after trying so many sitters over the years and some of them have not been great. These days I have a very shy and skittish type of kitty, he wouldn't come out at all (even after several days) for the last sitter I tried. With Liv, it's a totally different story. He not only ate well (which was an issue the last time I tried to leave him), but also he came out for his dinner while she was there, and allowed pets!! She made an effort to show that she was reading the detailed instructions I left, communicated exactly how everything went with notes and photos, and just generally has a gentle, sweet energy that would put anyone at ease. She clearly takes pride in doing things well, and it shows that she loves animals. I feel lucky to have found her to care for my little guy!

Lydia is just the best! It is always hard to leave my cat, but I know she is in the best possible hands with Lydia. When I get home, my cat is so happy and playful and thriving, and I know this is all because of Lydia. Lydia has cared for my cat several times and I will 100% ask her to return again.
Claire did a great job taking care of my cat (Kermit) while I went away for 10 days over the holidays. She showed up every morning to give him his wet food, clean his litter box, play with him and give him a few pets. Kermit was in good shape and spirits when I returned. Definitely recommend and would book with her again!

Sue did an excellent job caring for my two cats while I was away for 2 days. She came twice a day to feed them and take of litter box duty. She sent great photos from each visit that illustrated the trust the cats developed in her during this short while. This was especially noteworthy because one of my two cats is very shy and cautious around new people. She played with them each visit either an interactive wand/feather toy, much to the delight of the shy cat in particular. Sue has excellent communication skills. I had a very good conversation with her prior to the sit that led me to believe she’d be a good fit for caring for my cats. I’d love to have her return in the future when I need short-term cat care again.
