About: Hello! My name is Karissa and I am a big animal lover. I've had dogs and cats my whole life, and have always enjoyed spending time with and caring for them. I have trained and competed in agility with my Australian shepherds, and I have worked with and trained dogs of all ages. I have also cared for and loved many cats (both my own and for clients and friends). When I played varsity polo for Virginia Tech, my team was charge of all aspects of care for our 16 horses during the school year. I have ridden and cared for over 100 horses since I was young. Through these experiences, I have administered medications, handled behavioral issues, fed a variety of foods, and cared for and diagnosed illnesses and injuries. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, cared for, and loved while their favorite people are away. Your pet should feel like they are on vacation too! I am available and excited to care for your pets on any schedule that works best for them! My schedule is quite flexible right now. Because I offer care in your home, I strive to ensure that you and your pets feel safe, respected, and cared for. I emphasize safety, privacy, cleanliness, and happy animals. Especially with the temporary change in caregiver, I believe it is extremely important to maintain the routine your pets are used to while you are away, with maybe a couple extra treats (with permission, of course) :) Above all, I adhere to the care rules and instructions given to me, because you know your pets better than anyone.

About: I’ve spent more than 35 years caring for cats and dogs, including two German Shepherds, four Shelties, and my current cat—who adopted me after I found her asleep on my bed one day and she simply never left! I understand that every pet has a unique personality. Some cats want affection and playtime, while others feel safest hiding, and I always respect their boundaries while making sure they have fresh food and water, a clean litter box, and a comfortable environment. I’m equally at ease with dogs: I’ve trained dogs to sit, stay, lie down, and heel; I’m patient with teething, rambunctious puppies; and I love taking older dogs on relaxed walks where they can sniff and enjoy the world. About: Hi! I have always loved animals. I have had dogs my entire life since we adopted my first dog, a black lab, from the humane society when I was 5. I have also volunteered at the humane society for many years on a regular basis. I am home full time right now and my priority is giving the animals I look after the best possible care and of course lots of love! I just want them to be happy and comfortable with me. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Parker was absolutely wonderful! He took such great care of our two cats, Ahsoka and Anakin, while we were away. He didn’t just make sure they were fed—he spent time playing with them, gave them their snacks, kept everything clean and cared for, and truly made us feel like our pet babies were in great hands. When we arrived home, we could tell immediately that Ahsoka and Anakin had been happy, comfortable, and very well cared for. Our home was also left in wonderful condition, which we really appreciated. There is such a sense of relief that comes with being able to travel and know that the pets you love so much are safe, happy, and being genuinely cared for. Parker gave us exactly that peace of mind. Trisha was fantastic. She took such good care of our cats while we were away. Every day, in addition to feeding, water, and litter, she played with and snuggled them. She even helped us with watering my daughter’s herb garden. Trisha also sent detailed notes and pictures. We could tell they were happy and well-cared for when we returned.
