About: Hello! My name is Karissa and I am a big animal lover. I've had dogs and cats my whole life, and have always enjoyed spending time with and caring for them. I have trained and competed in agility with my Australian shepherds, and I have worked with and trained dogs of all ages. I have also cared for and loved many cats (both my own and for clients and friends). When I played varsity polo for Virginia Tech, my team was charge of all aspects of care for our 16 horses during the school year. I have ridden and cared for over 100 horses since I was young. Through these experiences, I have administered medications, handled behavioral issues, fed a variety of foods, and cared for and diagnosed illnesses and injuries. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, cared for, and loved while their favorite people are away. Your pet should feel like they are on vacation too! I am available and excited to care for your pets on any schedule that works best for them! My schedule is quite flexible right now. Because I offer care in your home, I strive to ensure that you and your pets feel safe, respected, and cared for. I emphasize safety, privacy, cleanliness, and happy animals. Especially with the temporary change in caregiver, I believe it is extremely important to maintain the routine your pets are used to while you are away, with maybe a couple extra treats (with permission, of course) :) Above all, I adhere to the care rules and instructions given to me, because you know your pets better than anyone.

About: I've cared for dogs for years and would love to ensure your pup gets all the love and exercise they need to be happy and healthy! I'm also very active myself so I can also take your pup on a fast-paced walk or run to get their energy out! Very flexible schedule with lots of availability during weekdays or weekends ! Open to repeat visits as needed. I work part-time / at home providing me an versatile schedule for whatever timing works for you and your pup. During drop-in visits and dog-walks, I emphasize gentleness, attentiveness, and building trust with your animal to ensure their needs are tended to with playfulness and adaptability to your pet's unique temperament.

About: I’ve spent more than 35 years caring for cats and dogs, including two German Shepherds, four Shelties, and my current cat—who adopted me after I found her asleep on my bed one day and she simply never left! I understand that every pet has a unique personality. Some cats want affection and playtime, while others feel safest hiding, and I always respect their boundaries while making sure they have fresh food and water, a clean litter box, and a comfortable environment. I’m equally at ease with dogs: I’ve trained dogs to sit, stay, lie down, and heel; I’m patient with teething, rambunctious puppies; and I love taking older dogs on relaxed walks where they can sniff and enjoy the world. What sets me apart is my experience, attentiveness, and genuine affection for animals—I take the time to understand what makes each pet feel happy, secure, and cared for. I’m self-employed and have a very flexible schedule, so pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine. I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening visits and can often accommodate changes or special scheduling needs. At this point in my life, spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I appreciate having the flexibility to give each pet attentive, unhurried care. Since I have a cat who rules my home I'm not able to care for dogs or other cats where I live. I'm happy to come to you.

About: As a Marin County Native, I’m no stranger to the outdoors. Growing up I loved taking my dogs on long hikes, exploring the vast landscape of the Northbay. Professionally, I’ve been pet & house sitting for almost a decade. Primarily catering to a very private & discreet clientele, I am adept at managing long term or short term sittings under strict guidelines & conditions. When caring for dogs, I take them on two, 20 - 30 minute walks, one in the morning & one at night, as well an hour long dog park visit. Each dog is different & requires a specific routine, many of my clients have special requests, that are happily accommodated upon request. When sitting a clients residence, I provide quality care to all pets. Additionally, my policy is to leave the space better than I found it.

About: I treat every dog like they’re my own. I stick to their feeding schedule and make sure they get the attention and care they deserve. I also love running, so if a dog is up for it, I’ll happily take them on a jog with me. I build my days around the pets I care for. I usually set aside specific blocks for walks, feeding, and playtime so nothing gets missed. It actually helps me stay structured and active throughout the week. I provide all pet care at the client’s home, never at mine. I follow their normal routine, keep their space clean and comfortable, and make sure they feel safe and cared for in their own environment.

About: I grew up with dogs and I’ve been a dog owner most of my adult life. I’ve also been a dog owner from the puppy age of eight weeks all the way through mature life. I can take care of other pets as well, and I can be available for dog boarding, dog sitting, dog walks, and other pet care during your weekends and travels. I am a part-time parent and establishing this as additional income since I am a single income household in Marin county. I am available for dog walking and boarding on alternating weekends, and during periods of your travels when I am in town. I am an outdoors woman, and will get pets outside and active regularly. I know several local dog parks and dog-friendly trails since I’ve been a dog owner myself for years (I no longer have a dog as of early 2025). I have a fenced front and backyard. I can house a pet with all of your personal items for the pet anywhere in my home, and I can provide highly personalized care since I live alone (part time parent with alternating weekends on my own).

About: Hi! I have always loved animals. I have had dogs my entire life since we adopted my first dog, a black lab, from the humane society when I was 5. I have also volunteered at the humane society for many years on a regular basis. I am home full time right now and my priority is giving the animals I look after the best possible care and of course lots of love! I just want them to be happy and comfortable with me.
