About: I have volunteered at Humane Societies with all kinds of pets because animals are my passion, and have had pets for almost 30 years. I currently have had a wonderful cat named Latte for 6 years and I couldn't live without her. I am available during the day to walk your dog or take it to play at a dog park, or check in on your cat and give it plenty of love, food, and attention. I make sure the pets I look after are cared for like my own, and their safety, comfort, and security are a top concern of mine.
“Delfina was amazing and I cannot wait to use her again! She was very communicative during and prior to her visits. She made sure to take great care of our dog, cat and even our hamster while we were away! So grateful I have someone reliable and loving to my animals I can count on while we are away!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Parker was absolutely wonderful! He took such great care of our two cats, Ahsoka and Anakin, while we were away. He didn’t just make sure they were fed—he spent time playing with them, gave them their snacks, kept everything clean and cared for, and truly made us feel like our pet babies were in great hands. When we arrived home, we could tell immediately that Ahsoka and Anakin had been happy, comfortable, and very well cared for. Our home was also left in wonderful condition, which we really appreciated. There is such a sense of relief that comes with being able to travel and know that the pets you love so much are safe, happy, and being genuinely cared for. Parker gave us exactly that peace of mind. We are so grateful to him and will absolutely book with Parker every time he is available. We couldn’t recommend him more highly!”

About: Hi, I’m Sam! I’ve had animals in my life for as long as I can remember—dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, birds, and even horses. Growing up in a home where animals were part of everyday life (my dad worked in horse racing!), caring for pets has always come naturally. Though I’m new to professional dog walking, I’ve been a dedicated dog dad for over 20 years, always having two dogs by my side. I walk my own pups every day and make all of their food from scratch—yes, they’re very loved (and very spoiled!). I’ve also regularly pet sat for friends and family and am confident with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I used to have a Great Dane/St. Bernard mix, so handling large or giant breeds is second nature to me. Whether you’ve got a gentle giant or a feisty little pup, I’ll treat them like one of my own—with love, patience, and lots of behind-the-ear scritchins! Let me help your dog get the exercise, attention, and care they deserve. I’m reliable, easy to communicate with, and always happy to customize walks to your dog’s needs and energy level. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry friend! My schedule varies a bit from day to day, but it’s consistent from week to week. I work some mornings and some evenings, but those shifts rarely change, so when you and your pup love me, it will be easy enough to work out a schedule that works for everyone! I am always off on Fridays and Sundays. I do not offer boarding in my own home, but I am always happy drop in to your place for play or potty breaks. Also, as my pups are cared for when I’m not around, I am also available to stay at your home for short trips!
“Excellent! Michael is very thoughtful and does a great job. He is very reliable and we feel very fortunate to have such a capable and kind cat sitter. I love that he gives us updates and sends photos. Thanks Michael!”

“Susan is excellent! She gave our cat, Linus, all the care he needed and more including giving him and oral capsule/medication every morning. Linus warmed up to her quickly and was happy to sit in her lap during her visits. We will be happy to hire Susan again so we can travel worry free!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and truly can’t imagine a home without them. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, birds, fish (both saltwater and freshwater), and small mammals as I’ve had all of them as pets or taken care of my friend's. As a teenager, I worked at a local kennel, gaining valuable experience with feeding routines, cleaning, and handling animals of all temperaments. I’ve also trained my own dogs, earning several first-place ribbons in competitions. I’m attentive, patient, and genuinely passionate about animal care—whether it’s a walk around the block or providing loving companionship while you’re away! I am also experienced in giving subcutaneous fluids and administering all kinds of medications from shots to pills I currently work weekdays from 2-8:30pm along with some weekends, but weekends I am off by 3pm. I also have periods of time where I don’t work for a couple of weeks here and there. I can come morning, afternoon, and night any day I am willing to bring a small animal into my home as long as they are ok with another large dog and small cat who are very friendly. I do not have a yard, but walks are given multiple times a day and I have a decent sized 2 story townhome with dog parks and turn outs close by. If I am to go to your home, I can do anything and everything. I have experience with giving fluids to cats and dogs for health issues and administering all kinds of medication
“Lydia did a stellar job! She is reliable, on time and a she understands how to take of a cat, which is rare. I can tell she was here and actually paid attention to our cat because of the cat’s behavior when I got home. I would recommend her to another cat owner”

“We are so glad we found Trisha! She took wonderful care of our two cats while we were on vacation. She was always on time, very reliable, and kept us updated every day with plenty of photos, which meant so much to us while we were away and missing our little ones. From the pictures, it was clear that our cats loved her, and honestly, we think they might even be missing her now! It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We would definitely recommend Trisha to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy cat sitter!”

About: $40 off First booking, for NEW clients!! https://www.rover.com/sit/taraw21421 I have pretty much done it all! I've been around animals of all kinds since birth. I grew up around a herd of Aussies and a cluster of cats whom my mom couldn't refuse! :) I am Mom to 2 Himalayan cats who are my heart ❤️ I started pet-sitting when I was about 12. I have volunteer experience working at a museum for exotics, and I used to work at a boarding kennel for cats and dogs. I supervised large groups of various breeds (dogs/cats) during playtime! Prior to working for Rover, I was a dog-walker/pet-sitter for 7 years for Metro-Pet; (located in Dallas, TX). I regularly pet-sat for client's in their homes, when they were on vacation. Sometimes just drop-in visits, or walks, or both!! Many years ago, I was a Foster Mom for a Golden Retriever who stole my heart! I was a Corgi Mom for almost 9-years. I trained that sweet boy as a puppy. He was a senior before he passed, so I do have puppy as well as senior dog experience. I have experience with special needs dogs, as well as I am experienced with administering meds or injections if needed. I love going on walks with the doggies! I love cats just as much. I am currently fully available for drop-in-visits, or walks for cats and dogs! After the 21st of September 2026, I begin a FT job, and would only be available Friday-Sun. I will treat your animals as I would my own. With lots of patience and affection and snuggles ☺️ I am highly respectful of my clients homes. I am an extremely trustworthy and responsible person. I clean up after myself and leave the home looking as it did when I got there.
“Mike did a fantastic job carrying for my cat! Really appreciate him coming through when my last sitter canceled on me last minute. Was really attentive and carrying and my cat loved him. Would definitely rebook in the future!”

About: I grew up with dogs and know firsthand how much they become part of the family. Our beloved dogs, Bonbon and Bambii, were like siblings to me, and I loved spending time with them on walks, hikes, and playtime adventures. Although I don't currently have pets of my own, I miss that special connection and would love the opportunity to care for and spend time with your furry companions. I also have experience looking after my sister's dog, Toast, and always enjoy giving pets the attention, exercise, and affection they deserve. I will treat your pets with the same love and care I would give my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time outdoors and being around animals. I love starting my mornings with a walk, hike, or run, and I'm available between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM for dogs who need exercise, fresh air, and attention before the day begins. In the evenings, I enjoy going on walks after work, usually from 7:00 PM onward. This gives me dedicated time to focus on your pet, whether that means a relaxing walk, playtime, or simply keeping them company. Having grown up with dogs and caring for my sister's dog, Toast, I understand that pets thrive on consistency, affection, and quality time. Caring for pets doesn't feel like a chore to me, it's something I genuinely look forward to and enjoy incorporating into my weekly routine.🐶🤍 When caring for pets in a client's home, I prioritize keeping them comfortable by maintaining their usual routine as closely as possible. I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any special preferences. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, affection, and exercise while also respecting their individual personalities and needs. I believe communication is important, so I am happy to provide updates, photos, and messages to give pet parents peace of mind while they are away. My goal is to create a safe, calm, and loving environment where pets feel secure and cared for in their familiar surroundings.
“I am so happy with the care Edward gave my two young cats. I felt perfectly free to enjoy my time away from home, knowing they were in his capable hands. He was professional, start to finish.”

“I am beyond grateful Diane was available to check in on our cat and 2 bearded dragons over the weekend. She is very easy to talk with and responded quickly to messages. I felt our animal babies were in good hands.”

Trisha was fantastic. She took such good care of our cats while we were away. Every day, in addition to feeding, water, and litter, she played with and snuggled them. She even helped us with watering my daughter’s herb garden. Trisha also sent detailed notes and pictures. We could tell they were happy and well-cared for when we returned. Would definitely hire again.
Second time booking with Susan. She is wonderful, she is reliable, and I feel comfortable and confident that Suki is being well taken care of with Susan when I’m away. I love the photos of each visit and the report cards summarizing how the visit went and what activities they did. Highly recommend Susan. ❤️

Amy was great! We knew as soon as our girls met Amy during our initial visit. Usually, they’re a little standoffish and suspicious. Amy knew how to connect and help them feel safe and in control right away. Since this was A Amy’s first time with us, we appreciated her reaching out for clarification if she wasn’t sure about something and reporting on how the girls were doing during each visit. Thank you, Amy!

Chuck was fantastic and went way above and beyond for me when he watched my cat. He was very responsive and kind and patient when I was worried. I can’t recommend him highly enough. There should be more than five stars available for someone as good as he was.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
