“Kellie & Nate were so great to work with! They welcomed our dog in right away like he was part of the family. He got along super well with their dogs and really enjoyed their fenced yard. We really appreciated their caring attention to detail -- our dog can get an upset stomach easily, so it meant a lot that they made sure he didn't get any outside food etc. When we picked him up he was a very happy dog, which was such a good sign since he can get very anxious at times. So glad we got to meet Kellie & Nate, and hope we get to book dog-sitting with them again!”

She is super sweet and friendly. Most of all she adored my puppy. He had a good time with her and her fur baby. She sent me updates on Nico with pictures of his day. About: I grew up surrounded by dogs and cats since birth and have spent my whole life building a deep understanding of animal behavior and care. Growing up, my family raised two litters of puppies, giving me hands-on experience with everything from newborn care to socialization and training throughout various life stages. I currently share my home with three dogs of my own and I regularly care for friends' cats and dogs, both in my home and theirs. I’ve worked in human crisis intervention for over 6 years, which means I stay calm under pressure and know how to respond quickly and clearly when something unexpected happens. That same steady, caring approach is what I bring to every pet I look after. I do Rover to supplement my nonprofit career, so when I take on your pet it's because I genuinely want to be here, not because I have to be. Your pet won't just be cared for, they'll feel right at home! I work from home on a flexible schedule that I primarily set myself, which means I'm present with your pet throughout the day rather than leaving them alone for long stretches. We have a fenced yard for outdoor time and can separate pets as needed, so your animal has a safe, comfortable space even with my own dogs in the home. My partner, Jen, is also available to support with pet care and walks if you are comfortable with Jen stepping in at times. Between both of our schedules, we can better accommodate recurring clients who need weekly care! There are photos of Jen at the end of my photo section. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priority. I treat every pet like they're my own. My home is pet-proofed with a fenced yard, and I can separate animals as needed so everyone has their own safe space alongside my own dogs. With a lifetime of experience with dogs and cats of all ages and sizes, I'm confident handling whatever comes up, and my crisis intervention background means I stay calm and act fast if an emergency arises.

About: I'm a communications professional for 30 years now, so it comes natural for me to share with pet owners every milestone of any day they're apart from their pets and trusting me with their care. For 20 years, I've cared for my friend's dogs, cats, and chickens in the Bay Area just for the fun of it. Now I'd like to open my experience and hope it will lead to more travel when I retire in a few year. Also, I have a veterinarian friend on speed dial. I've never had to call in an emergency. But I could! I work from home most days. I write, so I sit at my desk and I don't move much. I love having a cat on the desk or a well-exercised dog in their bed waiting for my next move. I go downtown twice a week, but I have a retired neighbor who volunteers at Animal Control and the SF Zoo who is nuts about dog-walking to fill-in for noontime walks. I like to treat all pets like they're my own, with a little extra in an auntie kind of way. I am an expert Kong-stuffer and a tug of war extremist, with a nice car that I don't mind getting hairy or muddy. Poo and litter are not things I shy away from. I love the smell of pet feet.
