Tammy has been doing daily weekday walks with my dog about about two months now and does a fantastic job. She treats my dog with love and care and is very reliable. In rare cases when a scheduling conflict came up, she let me know well in advance so I could plan for it. I couldn’t ask for a better person to walk my dog.

I love seniors, puppies, & everything in between and I always send photo updates so you know your pet is happy and safe! Hi, I’m Beth! I live in University City and have over 20 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages and breeds, including senior dogs and pups with special needs, I’m fully background-checked and committed to providing safe, loving, and dependable care. I treat every animal like my own. You can always expect on-time arrival, respectful care in your home, and a photo and update after each visit so you know your pet is happy and safe. As a mom of three, I’m a pro at multitasking, staying calm under pressure, and showing up! I’m currently working around my kids’ school schedules to spend time doing something I truly enjoy — helping other pet parents and spending time with animals. Service Area: University City • Clayton • Maplewood and nearby neighborhoods Rates: Drop-In Visits $17 • Dog Walks $13 • Puppies — $20 per drop-in / $16 per walk 🐾 Intro Treat! Since I’m new to Rover, my walks & drop-ins are currently at “new sitter” pricing — grab a spot while it’s still open! I’d love to meet you and earn your trust (and your pup’s!) — feel free to contact me for a meet and greet anytime! I have morning flexibility Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 8am-12pm. I also have some weekend and evenings open depending on the time. I am open to long or short walks or just drop in visits to feed and check on them! In your home, I will follow your pet's routine that you request — from feeding and potty breaks to playtime. I understand how important it is to maintain their normal schedule and surroundings, especially when you're away. I’m punctual, clean, and respectful of your space, always making sure your pet feels secure and your home is just as you left it.

Virginia is fantastic! She helped walk our two dogs daily for 2 weeks. She was great with our dogs, reliable and an excellent communicator. Her report cards offered helpful info about how the walks went and I trusted her to take good care of our fur babies. I highly recommend Virginia and will certainly be reaching out to her again next time we need help with our pups!

About: I have 10+ years of experience caring for dogs and cats, including my own two dogs and two cats (one of whom has anxiety and needs special care). Because of that, I really understand how important routines, patience, and clear communication are. I’m calm, reliable, and very detail-oriented — and I always treat your pets like my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I currently have another job that typically starts around 3pm, so my availability may vary slightly from day to day. I’ll always confirm timing clearly with you to be sure it works for both of us. In some cases, I may also be able to provide visits earlier or later than my listed hours — just send me a message and I’m happy to see what I can do. I care for pets in their own home so they can stay relaxed in their normal environment. I follow your routine closely — feeding, walks, meds, playtime, snuggles, and any training cues you use — and I always send updates and photos. I have two dogs and two cats myself (including one anxious pup), so I’m very patient, calm, and understanding with sensitive pets.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with experience caring for dogs at every stage of life. I grew up with a Shih Tzu–Yorkie who lived to almost 18, so I’m very comfortable with senior dogs who need patience, gentle care, and extra attention. As an adult, I now have my own 1.3-year-old standard poodle mix, so I’m also very familiar with puppy energy, training reinforcement, and active play. I’d love to care for your dog and give you peace of mind knowing they’re in loving, capable hands! I work full time as a physical therapist Monday through Friday, but I have half days on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which allows for added flexibility during the week. I am available on evenings and completely off on weekends, giving me plenty of time for walks, drop-ins, playtime, and attentive care. I plan my schedule carefully to ensure dogs receive consistent attention, exercise, and supervision while in my care. I care for pets in my clients’ homes, where they’re most comfortable and can stick to their normal routines. I don’t offer boarding in my home, but I take safety and trust seriously by following all care instructions and keeping pets secure at all times. I love spending quality time with my furry friends and always enjoy helping owners feel at ease by sending photo updates - taking pictures is one of my favorite parts! 🐾📸

About: My family had pets on and off my whole life, but as an adult I have had one dog, Hermione, a 12 year old Shih Tzu, and two cats, Arya and Nymeria, who are both 2 years old. I am currently only working part time and I work from home so my availability is very flexible. I prefer mornings and early afternoons, but can help in evenings as needed! As a pet parent, I understand how important it is to give your babies structure and routine, so I default to your directions and will follow them to a T, because that is the kind of care I want for my precious babies!

About: I am a proud cat owner who has co-cared for all sorts of dogs over the years. From pitbulls to chihuahuas, I've been challenged and rewarded by all my furry friends. Apart from roommates and partners, I've also cared for many of my friends animals while they were out of town. One of whom (a dog) I had to administer medication orally. I am also comfortable with syringe applications. From a personality standpoint, I have a way with dogs that just comes naturally. I'd call it a commanding presence, although I can be a big softie, too. Always down for a cuddle! For both cats and dogs, know that I will give your pets time to adjust to my presence, aka let them come to me and give them space, so that I can foster a measure of trust between us. When walking your dog expect that I will be focused, confident and vigilant, keeping an eye out for any triggers your dog my have to outdoor stimuli. For every booking I accept there will be pictures provided as well as a detailed summary of our time together. Your pet's safety is my primary concern, so should anything abnormal occur you will be notified in a timely manner. Please leave information regarding diet, medications, general health info, behavioral issues, personality, and hiding spaces. When it comes to daily routine I'd like to keep things as close to their eveyday schedule as possible. Any information about your building, parking, lockbox location, or house rules would be great help. I'm always available to answer any questions you have, so feel free to contact me with any concerns via the Rover phone number provided. Thanks for wading through this with me. Can't wait to meet your special friends. ** Bonded and licensed via Pet Care Insurance (PCI) My best friend and roommate has an elderly cat I help her care for, so pet care is a daily commitment for me. Your pets will receive the same love and care. I am on the job hunt and a DC transplant, so I have a pretty open schedule at the moment and a healthy desire to explore the area with your pups. I am not accepting stays at the moment, but at your residence I intend to give the same care and attention you would. Please let me know of your daily routine, their favorite toys/games, and sociability level. My aim is to build a foundation of trust with your animals and have a safe, fun time together.

About: Hi! I’m new using this platform but I’ve always had dogs in my care and now have a very active Bengal kitten at home, so I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats and understanding their different needs. I grew up in a household with dogs of all sizes (from large breeds like Rottweilers to small breeds like Yorkies) which has given me experience handling a wide range of personalities and energy levels. I’m used to high energy pets, daily play and exercise, maintaining clean spaces, and adjusting care based on each pet’s personality. I focus on patience, routine, and making sure every pet feels safe, engaged, and well cared for while their owner is away. I’m currently a full-time graduate student with flexibility in my schedule, which allows me to plan visits in advance and accommodate drop-in care when needed. I’m generally available before 10:00 a.m. and after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, and I can plan ahead to ensure consistent, reliable care. I am amenable to anything your doggie/cat may need to feel good and safe. Just give me specifications or contact me with any doubts about walking/sitting services.

About: ***Constant care pets will be an extra fee*** Constant care is care in which we can't go to work our regular jobs, care for our pets, or go spend time with family. Constant care is care in which we cannot leave your pet alone for more than 3 hours. Meet and greets are free unless you need more than one before the stay, then the first meet and greet is free. My expertise is with older dogs, pets with disabilities (such as dementia or seizures), and pets that need medications. If your pet does need Constant care, we can negotiate a price that works for you. I've always had pets. I have always had cats, dogs, guinnea pigs, or ferrets. I'm versed in many kinds of animals and am happy to care additional small animals if needed. Short notice is ok as long as there are at least 2 days between the time I'm asked and the time of the stay. Unless you're a repeat customer. The 2 days are to allow time for a meet and greet. When I pet sit for you, I clean up after your pet, watch attentively to escape artists, adhere to your schedule, and most importantly, ensure your pet is safe and having fun. I may not be at the house 24/7 during the stay (unless you're paying for constant care), but I will definitely be following whatever schedule you leave for me. I clean up after myself and after your pets if they make any messes. I follow any house rules you may have and enforce rules for your pets. I work at The Darkeness Haunted House. I work the weekends and we are only open at night, so dinner schedules may be impacted. I may be working 6 hours or 8 hours, depending on the schedule of the season. I'm LGBTQ+ friendly as well as disability friendly. I will provide excellent care for your pets. I try to keep the routine as close as possible to what pets are used to. I will try our best to leave the house as it was or better than it was when I arrived.

About: My family has always had two dogs my entire life. Ranging from a Saint Bernard to a Beagle. I also have watched multiple family friends pets (multiple dog and cat households). During college I fostered 1 dog and several cats for a local animal shelter. I have two cats now so I can’t foster anymore but I still want to get my animal fix in! I work a slightly different schedule than a normal 9-5. I have Mondays and Tuesdays off and don’t work in the mornings. This allows for me to come at times most people are working. I will make sure I follow every single instruction given to me. I also understand that each animal has their own unique behaviors. It is important to read and approach animals slowly so I can give them time to warm up.

About: I’ve never not had pets. My family has almost always had dogs, and I took care of a hamster and cat when I was younger. Today, my wife and I have two poodle-mix dogs (Togepi and Raisin) and two guinea pigs (Betty and Gertie). We got Togepi when he was just a couple months old. We got Raisin from the APA in 2024. I’ve helped my wife with her Rover sitting since since 2023—she’s a 5-star sitter with nearly 50 reviews. I’m a law student at WashU. This coming semester (starting January 12), I’ll have classes from Monday afternoon through Thursday evening. I’ll be free otherwise. I’m happy to care for your pet(s) however you’d like. If you want me to stay in your home while you’re away, I can do so on most Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.
