I can tell she cares for my dog the way I do when I’m not around! I am so thankful to have found someone that I can fully trust with my pup and with my home. When I leave my house I tell my dog “Virginia is going to come” and he gets so excited and looks out the window to wait for her. She deserves the best review, but I don’t want to share her! She truly is the best and we appreciate her so much!

About: I have 6 years of experience caring for cats and 3 years with dogs. I trained my dog when he was a puppy, rescued stray cats and helped a lost dog find a new home. Also introduce my second cat who is a strayed cat to my first cat. I’m currently in my gap year so I have lots of time to caring your cat or dogs (also puppy!) Pet care fits into my daily routine as I enjoy spending time training, feeding, and playing with them. Boarding pets will have their own bedroom, and share the living room with/without resident cats depending on how they get along. I have a safe environment at home. There’s no child in home. Additionally, I have experience with pet training and caring for both rescueds and domestic pets. I ensure a loving and secure atmosphere for your furry companions.

Sarah was AMAZING. We had a spontaneous day trip the pups couldn’t join, and Sarah fit them in her schedule last minute! She made time to meet them while we were home so we were all more comfortable. My timid baby hid in his bed and almost refused any walks, water, or food. Sarah was patient and knowledgeable, and was able to coerce him out and appropriately rewarded him. Her care, communication, and adorable pictures kept us from worrying about leaving our babies overnight. HIGHLY recommend!

About: I have had pets and taken care of other's pets for most of my life! I absolutely adore animals of all kinds. I have been house/pet sitting for the last few years on my own but I'm trying to expand my client base and meet new furry friends! I also have lots of experience with cats! A large portion of my clients prefer overnight stays but I am willing to do drop ins as well. I'd love to hear from you soon. I currently work part time and my schedule is pretty flexible. With notice I can make sure I am able to spend plenty of time with your babies! I have done some house sitting before and never had any complaints! I am also very responsive and I will take good care of your pets and your home. No worries!

About: My pet care experience includes not only caretaking for my own dog and family friend's dogs over the years, but I also worked for a pet boarding and daycare facility for 2 years. This exposed me to knowledge about dog behavior, caretaking, playtime, and important details like specific needs of medicine and feeding methods for each dog in the facility of roughly 130 dogs. Additionally, my pup Bella has had a lifelong experience of many diagnoses such as mega-esophagus, acid reflux, and environmental allergies which have all required very specific feedings and medicines for her. Safe to say after all of these formative experiences, I'm very attentive to all specifics that your pup needs while you are away and happy to do it!! I'm a lifelong animal lover and I love to treat my pup like royalty (as shown in my pictures), because she is one of the most important things in my life. I will treat your pup with the same love and care as my own because they deserve it <3 I'm currently job searching for an additional part-time role to do with Rover, so my availability is pretty open right now for dog walking, dog sitting, etc. Before I do any caretaking for your dog, I do require meeting the dog(s) with the owner present on a separate day to make sure the dog is familiar and comfortable with me before I come over to take care of the dog(s). When I come over to your house to either walk or dog sit, I will first make sure I read all instructions carefully for what the pet owner wants & needs for their pup. Then, I will walk/dog-sit with them and send you some pictures of your pet to give you updates on how they are doing. I love it when people send me pictures/updates while I'm away from my dog, because it makes me feel secure knowing they are living well. Please let me know if you would like this or prefer not. Lastly, I will give them some pets and cuddles as desired and some play time so they have some enrichment time while I'm over. And of course, will make sure to lock up the house as instructed by the pet owner.

About: If I could rescue all the animals and take them home, I would! I'm all about tail wags, butt wiggles, kisses, and snuggles. LOTS of snuggles! I'm available daily for dog walks or check-ins, including holidays, and I'm happy to work with your schedule. I have experience in administering insulin and other types of medical needs that are vet-approved by you. Every pet is different, so I work with what's best for them. I make sure to keep things familiar and as stress-free as possible. Keeping to their regular routine is especially important. They will miss their hoomans, but I promise to spoil them rotten while you're away!

I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages and personalities, from energetic puppies to calm seniors. About: I've cared for cats, dogs, reptiles, and rodents, and I treat every pet like they're my own. I understand that every animal has a different personality and routine, so I take the time to make them feel comfortable and cared for while you're away. I'm dependable, patient, and attentive to detail, whether that's following feeding schedules, giving medications, cleaning litter boxes, refreshing water, maintaining habitats, or providing playtime and companionship. I have 4 years of volunteer experience caring for senior animals, so giving medications and providing extra care is no big deal for me. I'm comfortable caring for senior pets, shy animals, and pets that need a little extra patience. My goal is to make sure your pets stay happy, safe, and stress-free while giving you peace of mind with reliable, loving care. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, allowing me to provide dependable, attentive care throughout the day. I plan my schedule around the pets I'm caring for to ensure they receive timely visits, walks, feedings, playtime, and plenty of attention. I believe consistency is important, so I do my best to maintain your pet's normal routine while you're away. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I carefully follow all care instructions, including feeding schedules, medication, exercise, and any special needs. I am also trained in animal CPR, which gives an added level of preparedness in case of an emergency. I respect your home as if it were my own and make sure pets remain secure, comfortable, and stress-free. I also pay close attention to changes in behavior or health and will keep you updated with messages and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.

About: ***Constant care pets will be an extra fee*** Constant care is care in which we cannot leave your pet alone for more than 3 hours. Meet and greets are free unless you need more than one before the stay, then the first meet and greet is free. My expertise is with older dogs, pets with disabilities (such as dementia or seizures), and pets that need medications. I'm also experienced in multi-pet homes where one or more pets are seniors/special needs and other pets are high energy or puppies/kittens. I have experience caring for pets who are recovering from operations as well. If your pet does need Constant care, we can negotiate a price that works for you. I've always had pets. I have always had cats, dogs, guinnea pigs, or ferrets. I'm versed in many kinds of animals and am happy to care additional small animals if needed. Short notice is ok as long as there are at least 2 days between the time I'm asked and the time of the stay so that there's time for a meet and greet. For repeat customers, I accept even same-day requests. I work 8 hours, 4 days a week. Since we do petsitting together, if there is a need for constant care, one of us will always be present in the home with your pet. Safety is my #1 priority when caring for your pets. I make sure to watch pets attentively on walks and in the yard to ensure maximum safety. My services include grabbing mail and packages, watering plants, giving medications as instructed, daily walks as instructed, basic cleaning up after myself and your pets, daily updates and pictures, and following your regular schedule as closely as possible to ensure as seamless a change as possible while you get to experience a worry-free time away.

  • 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
