About: I have always loved dogs, and I had a lot of experience helping with dogs that belonged to my other family members or friends growing up. I have added dogs to the family as an adult and enjoy taking them on walks, playing with them, and caring for them. I have a bichon-freise and shitzu (teddybear mix) dog as part of our family currently. I have two daughters who adore dogs. I am just now beginning this journey on Rover though I have lots of experience working with dogs and caring for others' pups. I am currently working part time from home, so I have time to play and care for your pup. I can take your dog out first thing in the morning, a couple of times during the day, and before bedtime. About: Having dogs all my life, I’ve gotten to experience puppies as young as a month to seniors as old as 12 years who need medication and other assistance. My family cat right now is 16! I’ve been around rescues mostly which can be a toss up as far as demeanor and behavior but with patience and empathy, anything is possible. About: I have been taking care of sweet, precious pups since I was 7 years old when my mom surprised me and my brother with a basset hound puppy after school. Her name was Roxanne. A couple years later, we rescued a 6-year-old basset hound, Brandi, and a few years later, we rescued a 1-year-old beagle mix, Misty, and adopted a basset hound puppy, Willow, who had just been born on a farm near our house. We treasured our sweet babies, cooking for them every day - hard-boiled eggs for breakfast and meat and veggies for dinner. And they lived long, happy lives. Brandi, Misty, and Willow all made it to about 15 years old! I just moved from Colorado to start my PhD in Public Health at WashU, and I can't wait to pick back up with dog sitting again! In Colorado, I was the honorary dog sitter at my church. One couple even flew me out to California a few times to continue caring for their sweet pup after they moved! Between my own dogs and others' dogs, I've taken care of dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors who need lots of support. I am a PhD student at WashU Bursky School of Public Health. This semester, I have a class on the Danforth campus on Tuesdays from 9am to 12pm, Wednesdays from 12pm-1pm, and Thursdays from 1pm-4pm. My research is remote. When it is time for a bathroom break I always make sure to be present and always keep an eye on every pet at all times. Their safety is a top priority to me. If a client requests that their pet must be on a leash, I will fulfill that request. Supervision during feedings are also very important to me. When out on walks, I will make sure every pet is on a leash and that we are in a safe environment for the walk. I always check the weather forecast as well. It is important to always be alert of the surroundings including traffic, other pets that are around, and of course people. About: Hello! I have previously built a small dog sitting clientele in the city of Columbia between the years of 2017-2019. In 2019 I moved to STL and worked through Rover for about two more years until I got a full time job. Currently dipping my toes back into pet care! I have a 4 year old orange cat that I rescued at just 2 weeks old, so I have experience working with very small kittens as well. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask! I work about 30 hours a week, but will not let this effect how I care for your pet! My days off are always Sunday and Monday, and I am available at anytime either of those days, as well as most evenings and certain mornings. I unfortunately cannot offer services in my own home, but I am more than willing to provide pet watching in the clients home. I am able to do drop in visits, feedings, hair brushes, playtime, walks or whatever your pet needs while you're at work or just out for the day.
